Who feels sorry for him? EJ is a millionaire with a dream job at the top 2% of the entire profession. EJ is on the roster because hes a decent to good backup and his contract is already fully guaranteed. He isn't a locker room cancer and is generally well liked by his teammates. I'm not sure they could find a better one at this point in the offseason.

Backups I would take over EJ in no particular order AJ McCarron Landry Jones Colt McCoy Daniel/Wentz Drew Stanton Derek Anderson Luke McCown Garrappolo So he is (In my estimate) a top ten backup. He is still young and has great talent, although he is inconsistent.

My girlfriend loves Bills games, loves going to them and being at the tailgate with everyone. This really is an interesting off-season for the Jets. If they can't find a way to work with Fitz and bring him back, they have to put a lot of toothpaste back in the tube. They've been talking about how they expect a deal to be done and blah blah. If he doesn't and guys like Forte, Marshall and Decker who have voiced support and disappointment if Someone other than Fitz is the starter week one. Its the kind of stuff that torpedoes a team before it can suit up I hope they win 5 games and miss out on a great QB.
