My comment was mostly about what he "deserves". Having gone through a much less public issue of my own, I argued that I "deserved" all these things I had lost due to my own struggles. Honestly that line of thought hindered my ability to get better and become the person I should be. I didn't deserve to just walk back to my life and have everyone ignore what happened. Because it had happened. I had to earn everything back and rightfully so. If Johnny earns the opportunity to resume his playing career, then of course I am all for the comeback story and hope he succeeds. But "deserves" this opportunity? I can't say that.

What possible about Nate Pick6 Peterman makes you think he will turn it around? He is not a good NFL player. He isnt even capable or playing a half of a game somewhat effectivly. No he did not. He went 5-10 for 57 yards. He sucked that day too. He had like 4 good throws in the preseason and everyone anoints him because he has poise. He has a weak arm and is a turnover machine. What is likeable about him as an NFL QB?

No scorn, but he deserves nothing. He was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft and he flushed that opportunity down the drain. As someone who has dealt with mental illness myself, I hope he gets his life back together. But he, like me, doesn't deserve anything. I had to go get my next opportunity and so does he.

Very True. I think he is capable of being on a NFL roster and being an improvement over some guys, although I'm not surprised he isnt on a roster at all. Unfortunately for him when he took the knee, he was going to face consequences. This is the most glaring one

Paying for potential too. AW was much more athletic than Searcy. Searcy was a solid safety and I would be happy had they been able to keep him, but AW had a much higher ceiling

That game should have no bearing on anyones evaluation of anyone. Players could barely stand or see. The fact any pass was completed all day is incredible. His performance in perfect conditions sucked.
