To the bolded, yes and yes. I like what i do and think I could get hired within the industry somewhat quickly. I like this "side" of it better having worked in a similar role for a different company . Basically I used to submit proposals and now I review them for accuracy and give out money to do said proposals. I'd much rather be on this side of it, but have a number of good contacts for the other side of this that like me. I think I'd be ok, but not as happy on that end of this business. Sorry for being vague haha. Trying to leave names out

I work for a subcontractor and we are currently in year two of a three year contract for our client. In April of this year, we were told our contract was extended 6 months to align with the program year (previously was set to expire mid year next year) I was just informed that the company I work for signed the contract extension, however our client did not and has indicated they don't plan to anytime soon. (I'm hearing all this second hand so I'm not sure the exact wording that was used) The client also adjusted our goals and budget by ~40%. This more or less aligns with when our contract would be set to expire so it may just be a matter of having things line up with current contracts. I'd say we are in good standing with the client and have killed our goals every year we've had the contract, but admittedly this news was...concerning to not only me and my colleagues but also my boss. Just a lot of unknowns now and personally I think it would be difficult to have a transition mid year and would be surprising if we were out then, but its not out of the question I joined the company while they were in the bid for our now current contract and the vibe was different then. I got the impression our portion of the portfolio was secure and it was just a matter of lining up the rest of the contracts. Since then, leadership has completely changed at the client level so it is tough to know what they are thinking now. Should I be concerned?

I agree with this. When the Jets played in Buffalo last year I thought Darnold looked like a guy who was a top ten pick. They will be better with him for sure, but that team is still in rough shape Hard to believe signing a guy who retired to play center in the middle of the preseason wasnt the fix they hoped for -

When I fist started at UB, someone came over to the student section and asked if someone wanted to come catch punts on the field at halftime In my wasted drunken stupor, i accepted this challenge thinking back to the one day in HS football that I actually caught the punt before getting blasted and fumbling. Walked down onto the field. UB was playing Pitt that day and the Pitt QB ended up rushing for a TD right in front of me and I realized how big he was and suddenly realized that me trying to go out and catch a punt as the halftime entertainment while drunk may not have been the best idea. But alas, I walked onto the field and proceeded to drop every single one before finally tripping, ripping my shirt and being walked off the field (mercifully). I knew then, I may not have what it takes to play college football.

My wife's cousin lost a child less than a day old. Just an awful awful thing to have happen to good people. After seeing the aftermath of that, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Thankfully, they were able to have a happy, healthy child recently My heart is broken for Jeremy and his family. I hope he can find some strength to deal with this horrible situation

Josh Allen Failed His First Big Test
Captain Hindsight replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He played poorly, but many QBs dont play well in that game. Including Tom Terrific on the other side. I think JA's arrow is still pointing up. -

They were a dropped pass or two from winning the SB last year. Not a terrible approach -
What row in 129? We have seasons in row 18 It does feel different. For me its the depth of this team. If someone goes down with an injury, I'm not expecting a huge drop off. That makes me think this team has a chance to be legit None of their wins are fluky. I'd argue in each game, they have been downright dominant at times and never really overmatched at any point

the Josh Allen streak nobody talks about
Captain Hindsight replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well in one game he had Nathan "I try hard" Peterman for a good portion of it and another he had Derek "I Can't believe I have to play tonight" Anderson. I'm willing to give him a pass for those two games -
Rewatching the Pats game # 2 last year

I rewatched it a few weeks ago and thought they played better than I remembered. I think this is a game they can win, but they will need to be flawless
