But the media has told me McDorkelglasses is the smartest most bestess coach in the league and all teams should just forfeit games to his coaching awesomeness.
The Miami game at the end of the year showed he’s just isn’t there yet. Dude coaches a good offense but that team didn’t look confident going into that game. The week before the had a chance to get the number one seed in Baltimore and not only did they lose, but they got embarrassed.
Dude can’t close. If they can’t win the division when they had a 3 game lead with 5 to go, they aren’t going to win anything

One could also argue that McDaniel was given much longer reins, and Flores had been set up to fail.
Also Flores took over a team that was built to tank. His record is much more impressive

Don't think that's right
Flores last two years he was 10-6 and 9-8
McDaniels is 9-8 and 11-6
dude added Tyreek hill, and won one more game over two years.

To be fair very few GMS are themselves great talent evaluators
Most GM's job is to put the most competent staff around them to make his decisions the easiest... Not necessarily rely on his own evaluation
But pay professionals to give him the best information
I would say most are good talent evaluators, but they also have so many other responsibilities that they need to rely on a good staff to build a good draft board

Let me ask you this IF Miami would entertain trade offers what do you think Miami could get for him ?
If Denver didn’t just draft Bo Nix, I’d guess they’d be pretty interested. Tua in that offense would be a good fit. Only issue is that it’s cold in Denver

Fun fact, McDaniels and Brian Flores have the same win pct over the last 4 years

I'm not scared of Tua, but he is good. Not great, but good. I'd rather the Dolphins not sign him and then see them struggle to find another QB for a few years. Even if they find another good QB, it will take 2 or 3 years for him to develop, and then there is no guarantee he is better than Tua. Chances are he'll be worse.
So, I'd rather see a QB carousel in Miami, honestly. Finding an elite QB is extremely hard to do. That's why they have to pay Tua, because even though he isn't elite, he is good, and the alternative is far too risky.
If Penix had lasted until Miami…

It's partly why I'm predicting Houston to miss the playoffs, and why my Jax prediction last year was correct. Houston goes from uncommon opponents of - Jets, Broncos, Cardinals - to KC, Baltimore, Dallas. Jax had KC, Buffalo, SF last year and went 1-2 in those games and missed the playoffs by a single game.
I've seen Houston as a SB contender and that is laughable IMO. They wayyyyyy overachieved last season and I expect them to struggle this year

Hold that thought a moment.
Rodgers has been in the league since 2005, starting since 2008.
That's like a 23 year stretch.
If it's nothing to do with the OC and all to do with Rodgers, the reason Rodgers hasn't looked like that his whole time in Green Bay is ??
Youre kidding right? Rodgers has been seen as an elite QB his entire career.

He did OC GB and Rodgers to 3 back-to-back 13-3 seasons where Rodgers had 2 consecutive All-pro and a league MVP.
Yeah Rodgers had a long career with a lot of winning and multiple all-pros before that, but he was also coming off multiple "meh" years and was 38 at that point.
Kind of hard to see Hackett as known trash with that background
Agree that he was hired to attract Rodgers though
Hackett wasn’t calling plays. He was an OC in name only. Looking good while Aaron Rodgers is your QB is not difficult
He was hired in Denver because they wanted to trade for Rodgers. He was hired with the Jets because they wanted to trade for Rodgers. After one year, the Jets wanted to move on but can’t because of… Rodgers.
Once Rodgers is done in the NFL, I suspect Hackett will be too

How are the Bears expected to be good? They were the worst team in their division last year, and this year they have a rookie QB. For every Texans with Stroud outcome, there are 9 Panthers with Bryce Young outcomes.Bears actually have a pretty solid Roster. They are a team that could be seen as a Qb away from being pretty good. Caleb Williams has a chance to step into a great situation

As bad as this looks now, just wait til Ben Johnson leaves after the season.
I think he may have screwed himself by spurning Washington. Lots of not great banter came out after that. Reminded me of when Josh Daniels spurned the colts. Shocked he got another offer after that

They’ll get their wildcard berth and be one and done. I think they just wanna break the 13 year drought at this point so I see why they’re going all in on Rodgers.
I’m not sure they even make the playoffs. Bills and Dolphins should at least split with the Jets if not sweep them.
AFC is loaded too
Bills
Bengals
Chiefs
Texans
Ravens
Browns
Steelers
Colts
Jags
All these teams are legit playoff contenders. Colts nearly made it with Gardner Minshew last year.
The Jets coaching is awful. Hackett is horrible and Salah hasn’t proven anything besides he can coach a good defense that has also been absolutely shredded at times. I see the Jets as a fringe playoff team and coaching is their biggest hurdle. Can Hackett be out of the way enough to not be an issue? Is Rodgers going to be good at 40 when he is mulling his next career?
The jets have more hype than they should

Hell of an organization they got there
“But then there’s Hackett. The Jets made legitimate attempts this offseason to hire someone who would, essentially, replace Hackett. Not as a new offensive coordinator, but a title above who would run the show. The Jets had enough things they needed to address this offseason without replacing areas they’re content with. That pursuit tells me, internally, there are legitimate concerns with Hackett’s ability to successfully run things.”

No he isn’t. He’s a good QB but he’s far one of the best in the NFL and that was on full display last season in the NFCCG
I’d put him in the top 10-12. You could do far worse and he has helped make Detroit relevant again. I’m a fan of his

I looked it up and sure enough he fell off after the first half of the season. First 8 games 18 TDs, 7 INTs, 11 sacks. Games 9-16 11Tds and 7 Picks, 18 sacks.
Not a huge drop, but noticeable
