Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
Captain Hindsight replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe. I think the jets could play it extremely safe and win that game. If the Dolphins get 200 yards of offense and force no turnovers, they will not win many games With Fitz starting today, I actually think thats an easy Miami win now. With Tua, Jets had a decent shot -

If the Dolphins passed for 95 yards again and the Jets avoided more than a TO or 2, they might have won. Yes, actually he did worse than that https://www.espn.com/nfl/game?gameId=401030702 -
Lions fire HC Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn

As with Gase, I think ownership has decided they are going to move on. But theres not much point in getting the team motivated for a meaningless week 16 win. Lose out and get your QB -
I was there too and I couldnt see the field the entire first half. We sit 20 rows from the field. I heard cheers and thats the only way I knew a play happened. My phone froze and I couldnt get it to turn back on until late that night!

I think so too. Bad teams always play better at the end of the year. I'm glad we got our Jets games out of the way If they can not turn the ball over, I could see the Jets winning this and lots of media members slowly crawling back into their "Miami is the best team in the AFC" caves -

Yup. The Vikings game in his second start was just a preview of what Josh was capable of. And looking back, he was not that good then -
Saints to start Taysom Hill over Jameis Winston
Captain Hindsight replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats fair. I wouldnt be shocked if he goes 10-20 for 100 yards. His arm talent is ok at best. But given Sean peyton and hill being a duel threat QB, I could see him being very effective, especially against a bad defense in Atlanta -

I could see it working honestly. Hill is a pretty explosive player and an incredible athlete. If he is an average passer, they could be pretty dangerous -

They are paying Hill 21 Million. He should absolutely be starting this weekend if he is really the QB of the future down there -

Was Sam Darnold "Benched"
Captain Hindsight replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is kind of my point. Are the Jets done with Darnold, but want to hold his value. So he's "hurt" while they go with Flacco -
I put benched in quotes since he has an shoulder injury, but it seems to me the Jets have decided to move on, and so has Darnold From the article - "Darnold, too, sounds different than a month ago. While expressing a desire to play and be with teammates, he said Monday, "I've got to think about me. Me injuring my right shoulder, it's definitely tough to kind of weigh all the options of what I can do. You start thinking about [it] in terms of just longevity and how I can further injure the shoulder. From where we're at right now with it, it's a good decision to be able to give it another week to heal up."" https://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-jets/post/_/id/84922/sudden-fall-jets-sam-darnold-goes-from-savior-to-potential-trade-chip Just reading the tea leaves here, is Gase trying to win games so he is going with the veteran vs the guy he didnt draft? Is Darnold done as a jet and this "injury" going to linger for the rest of the year?

Pro Bowl Voting is officially OPEN‼️

Saw something on twitter, where a Jags fan was asking Bears, packers and Lions fans to vote for Yannick Ngakoue so the Jags get a better draft pick from the initial trade -
Jordan Howard Released By Miami
Captain Hindsight replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally, I love that a guy like Yeldon is our emergency back He can step right in and be effective. There is no learning curve. This is huge for things like blitz pickup. Say we lose Moss or Singletary and have to put in Christian Wade. Defense does some fancy stunt, Wade reads it wrong and Josh gets slammed to the turf. If you have a vet waiting in the wings, this is far less likely. -
