  1. Could not agree more; I find his analysis quite honest and refreshing. After reading the kool aid posts on this board, Sully is definitely needed to bring reality back.
  2. French Toast Please
  3. Really great guy and very humble. Wish a blue sky and tail wind wherever he goes!
  4. I think it was early spring, 1998, I entered a gas station close to the Nashville Airport to pay for a fuel purchase. The cashier and two men were laughing and mentioned the Bills and Jim Kelly. They told me Jim Kelly just purchased gas and when in the store they recognized him and gave him the business about the four SB losses. He got kind of mad and stormed out, I had to laugh too.
  5. Andre Reed belongs in the HOF, I have to wonder if those that disagree actually watched Andre play from 85 - 99, not only do statistics validate his selection but the clutch plays over the years support this. Read a post that Joe Namath does not belong - I watched Joe Wille play and vividly remember 1968 and his bold guarantee of victory. It's an AFL thing, if you had the great honor of following the AFL you will understand.
  6. Excellent post, if you look at the Bills over the last ten years the major problem on the defensive side of the ball is sloppy tackling!!
  7. Daydreaming it is!! This team is not in the process of turning things around at this point in time.
  8. My friend, I admire your loyalty but you are a dreamer!!!
  9. Great response!! You have to get use to some of the posts on this board, I know the feeling.
  10. Typical response from the really "informed fans"!"
  11. Could not have said it better; they have been a bad organization - Drafting, Scouting, FO, FA, coaching - for over ten years.
  12. I like it, a Great Lakes Division - Buffali, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh; a new black and blue conference. Great post.
  13. Buffalo's economy and the weather can impact playoff games; the greatest comback game was played right after the holidays during a poor economy. In addition the Bills were spanked by the Oilers during the last game of the season and lost Jim Kelly to injury, it appeared the Bills were running out of gas from two Super Bowl losses. I have to agree that a winning - playoff team will fill 99 percent of your seats and sell merchandise - the best marketing strategy available!!
  14. I am guilty as charged; however I stand by my contention that Bills are not a winning organization with an ingrained losing culture that may take several years to change. Sorry, Buddy Nix, Russ Brandon and the scouting department have been a total failure - look at are drafts and FA aquisitions. We have several plyers that are above average at best and many players that if/when they finally depart will fade into oblivion like many others. Not sold on Mario Williams!! That being said, I give Marone and Whaley time to fix this dismal NFL team that has not been successful since 1999; I just get tired of this board thinking we are going to the playoffs because we beat the Ravens or Jets.
  15. You are correct, we beat the Patriots led by rookie Jim Plunket in a mud bowl at the Rockpile for the only win. Talk about a painful season.
  16. Think about this; in 1971 the Bills had Heaven Moses, Marlin Briscoe, Bobby Chandler, and JD Hill as wide receivers. All four were serious threats, then we had OJ with a great blocking FB - Jimmy Braxton yet still went 1 and 13.
  17. Right on Dorkington - the best posting on this board in a long time.
  18. The Buffalo Bills are not a good football team simply because the Buffalo Bills organization has been a failure since 2000. This team is plagued by horrible drafts, poor free agent aquisition, horrible coaghing on the field during game day for ten years, and poor coaching and development of younger players. Finally this team is hostage to a losing culture that continues to choke success - an above average team would be 8 - 4 at this point. I do not blame the current coaching staff or at this point Whaley, however, the 2014 draft is owned by Whaley - hope the current scouting department is up to it. Greg Williams, Mike Mularkey, Dick Jauron and Chad Gailey are not household names in the NFL and the Bills who have left the team for whatever reason have not become household names in the NFL. The GM situation, Marv Levy and Buddy Nix - need I say more. This team has a long way to go, not going to happen next year either.
  19. Awesome, I love it. This really sums it up perfectly.
  20. This is great - I love it. Have a great Thanksgiving, you defintely got a laugh out of me!!!
  21. Totally agree, coaching staff needs time; it's the front office I am concerned about and ten years of lousy drafting. Sorry, not sold on our current number one draft choice. Maybe it is Buddy's parting gift.
