Who cares - WIN OR LOSE!

History is great but no time like the present! I love it - so tired of the TBD crowd that constantly shake poms poms for these two - BringBackOrton! Ya whatever - I know your sad today! As are many TBD posters!

Since last year I have heard that Mayfield and Mahomes were the new Joe Montana and John Elway and Josh Allen a turnover machine! Looks like Josh is leading in the most important statistic - won loss record!! I also read constantly about the new NFL - pass crazy, showtime, arena football, scoreboards like a pinball machine. Looks like the mighty KC offense and Andy Reid can get beat by ground and pound offense and great defense - how can this be?

Correction Levy had us in the playoffs by 1988 after just missing in 1987! -

Chuck Knox took over a 3 - 11 team in 1978 and had the Bills in the playoffs by 1980. Marv Levy took over a 2 - 14 team in 1985 and made the playoffs by 1980; both efforts had great drafts and the Levy team stayed in the hunt for 12 years - to include Wade Phillips time. This team made horrible coaching, scouting, and drafting decisions throughout a 17 year period creating a culture of mediocrity - I remember posters on TBD thinking we were only a player away when in truth we were not even close. You don't fix 17 years of dysfunction in a "short amount of time" when you have to construct a new organization and culture. McBeane is in year three and has one playoff game under his belt and 2019 is shaping up pretty well, building an organization based on long term culture and character not fly by night divas! And yes, the young fan base has earned their stripes as you say, but so have those of us that lived through 1968, 1976, 1977, 1984, and 1985 - you can't even imagine the pain! -
Yup and Don Floyd!

I know the Buffalo fans of the 1960's had a better understanding and appreciation of the game; the rebuilds of Knox and Polian were appreciated much more by fans and it wasn't this I want it and I want it now mentality! -
They do, but not like the Vols! They did in my book and that team will always be the Oilers!

Not since Peyton and never say that in Knoxville!

We were so lucky - why I get so frickin cranky on TBD - they just don't know! -
Being an ardent AFL fan I can never root for the Titans - they will always be the Oiler's that belong in Houston = George Blanda, Charlie Tolar, Sid Blanks!
-
Well put!! The research triangle - Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill has multiple Bills bars and a huge base from western New York! Still die hard Bills and Sabres fans!

Great post, great time to a Bills fan and really lucky to have been one during the old AFL; here's to Ange Coniglio!!!!! -
https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/nfl/titans/2019/10/12/tennessee-titans-fans-nashville-nfl/3895236002/ Having lived in Tennessee, close to Nashville, for almost twenty years of my life, the state and city remain firmly entrenched in college sports. Growing up in Buffalo with family members holding season tickets since 1960, the excitement and love for the Bills is just not present for the Titans; in Nashville the night before the game most more interested in the outcome of the Vols starting a freshmen quarterback. Not sure how this going to turn out for the Titans and Nashville.

Why does TBD always have drama - we are 4 - 1! -
Good post! Just win baby! Develop a winning culture, we still are rebuilding, still work in process and lot's of fun to watch! Reminds me of 1979 or 1987, good things are coming! They want showtime or they lose focus; has to be the Pinball Wizard, me I'm with you - just win baby!

You know they will be back - all it takes is a loss or two!
