I'll remember all this talk after Matt Barkley is playing. I just don't get it. Anyone look at Lamar Jackson play football and go "that's gonna last"? I didn't think so. I just really hope he can develop as a passer.. otherwise we're gonna be a gimmick offense and fun during the beginning of every season.

word. it's just that to me it's not about ability, it's what he's trying to do. josh is lowering his shoulder not because he has to and can't get out of the way, but because he either wants to compete his ass off, impress that upon his teammates/coaches or make a point that he is part superman. in any of those cases, he is always able to use the sidelines and avoid contact by sliding with his current athletic makeup/ability. he just chooses not to, that's what I was trying to say. he has the ability while running to minimize hits and stay healthy just like every one of those qbs - Wilson, Jackson, Murray, etc. he just isn't choosing to do that. that's not a limit of his athletic ability or body makeup, just how he's approaching it.

so how does one execute the popular move known as the "qb slide"? Like even Tom Brady can slide right? Like you don't have to be gifted athletically to slide. So, I understand a little better what you're trying to say I just don't agree.

I mean, whatever the stats say. Watch that game and tell me you didn't hold your breath every time Josh Allen takes off on a run and tries to find out how much superman he's got in him. To me it's like having a dog that will push him or herself past their own limit. You as the owner, handler, caretaker have to be aware of this and manage them accordingly. Daboll and McDermott need to do a much better job of this. That's not a winning formula for 16 weeks. That's how you win 1 game in a vacuum and don't worry about whether or not your starting qb is gonna be able to suit up and play each week. I mean, since I have no control over it I'll sit back and watch like the rest of you guys. But this Daboll dude seems to really want Matt Barkley to play.

I mean, this sounds wonderful to say 1 day into the season lol. why don't you wait a few weeks before declaring the mistake everyone who opted out made? even though you were able to go back to work meetings, this just may be a very different situation.

Seems like a high ceiling to me! Getting AJ at 54 with him begin able to eclipse a 1st round pick in short order. I also think his man-strength power game is gonna translate and flourish after a year or 2 in our strength and conditioning system.
