Global warming err Climate change HOAX

BS. He meant 3 feet of river/ocean constantly covering the city. But, I'm sure that will be the ready-made excuse in 2016....when I'm standing at Battery Park with no shoes or socks and my pants rolled up....wading through the invisible water. No, I'm really going to do that. Just like the Southpark episode. Youtube it. Then I'm going to go to places like the Village and ask people what they are going to do now that NY is under so much water. I may even try to pretend I am a kyak salesman, and try to sell them kyaks with a straight face, as though the water is really there. Something...I'm gonna do something funny. -
Yeah....and boy, that Mitt Romney, what an idiot he was for calling Russia our biggest adversary. gatorman, overtaken by the facts, once again. But, we do agree on something. Psaki is a moron. Or, more accurately, she freely accepts that her job is to go on TV and say stupid things, every day.

Somehow....I knew carp was in the cards for me in this thread. Sooner or later. Also, I was looking back through this thread and I realized something if the OP knows its a scam, doesn't everybody? There's little doubt that the OP is less than stellar intellectually. However, I wonder how many of him exist in the county, today? I mean, there was a time when most of the country(2006) was buying this crap completely. Al Gore said we'd see 3 feet of water in NYC in 2016(and Rush Limbaugh still has a timer running on that. Hilarious. I can't wait for when that timer runs out. Should be a fun time. Go down to NYC with a sign, park it in front of NBC HQ, "Where's the flooding, Al, and the rest of you D-bags?" Make a day of it. ) Now? I highly doubt most people are still buying it. When even the dumbest know? It's over. This has nothing to do with you/I'm not calling you dumb. I merely stuck 2 posts together because I am lazy. -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you knew the story, you'd know that Warren Buffet bought many local papers, including the Buffalo News, as a public service. He doesn't expect them to be profitable, in fact he expects them to lose $. However he believes that smaller cities need to retain their own local, and supposedly independent newspapers. We can debate whether this is folly, given the internet's hegemony, and that there's no reason local news can't be delivered by local websites, or, whether this is cultural philanthropy, not much different than donating to the local arts/museums, and by proxy treating local journalism as an art form. But if we do so, let's do it with the facts, shall we? You now have them. The notion that Warren Buffet = the Buffalo News is profitable? Fact-free. You've just done a fine job of proving that I am smarter than you. So, the only trolling in your post and mine? You are trolling yourself. Care for round 2? -

And for billsfan1959? Here's one of he "usual D-bags" to which I refer. Kelly is still butthurt from PPP, and the performance of "his man", so he never shows up there anymore. Instead, he chases me around this board throwing bombs whenever he can. Unfortunately for him, and fortunately for me, his behavior is so transparent(= why he got smoked so often at PPP, and doesn't have the sack to go back for more, cause he knows what awaits him) it's hilarious. I believe doing whatever is necessary to keep the nonsense, in this case TMZ/fact-free/planted stories, to a minimum. I perform the same function here as I do elsewhere, unless I am hammered. Then unfortunately I am sometimes the source of nonsense. But, just like Jerry Sullivan, I reserve the right to F around whenever I damn well please. Doubly so when it annoys the Kellys of this board. -

Late to the party. Read my post above. I'm tired of "the next coach will 100% be better than Marrone, because if he isn't, I will look stupid, so I better keep running Marrone down as low as I can get him to go" save-ass behavior....that relies on TMZ-type reporting to fuel it. That's what this is about. Sure, that's probably what you and I would do. And we'd enjoy the sycophants, and torture them accordingly, or at least I would But, Marrone decided to play his hand a different way. That doesn't mean he has character problems or that he's an egomaniac All it means is that he played his hand a different way. I'm not defending the guy, but I am defending his right to play his hand his way, without being called an egomaniac by this board, because we got that word from a fired Syracuse assistant coach who has yet to get another coaching job. -

OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure. But the better question is: do you see what I did with this thread? It cannot have operated as desgined...if I started with some sort of meeting agenda memo detailing the objectives. It was designed to provoke the very responses it did...with the express purpose of exposing them as silly. You want me to say what I mean? No problem. Enough with: 1. The TMZ nonsense here. 2. The "cover my ass...by running Marrone down so low, that the next coach has to be "better", by default, even if he only win 2 games" nonsense here. 3. The speculation and planted stories being treated as Holy Writ. We banned Bleacher Report links here. Why? Speculative and/or fact-free nonsense written by morons. We don't do 1-3 on this board. We do objective, thoughtful analysis...on the football board anyway. Enough with the crap, especially from posters who know and can do better. -

OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
See the above. I could have said something else, like, Marrone was sick of having no O line, and substandard QBs 2 years in a row, and that's why he quit. But, the Buffalo media is more fun to screw with. In the end, all of this illustrates the point that the wild-eyed Marrone bomb throwers have no more evidence and/or substantive arguments for why he left....than I do for blaming the Buffalo media. -

All of this is just fine. And, I would argue that quitting on an alcoholic doesn't mean forever. They need to hit bottom. Period. Once they have, and have committed to getting help, that's when it's time to come back, immediately. Look, the media treatment is merely a counter-point, valid or not, to the "official reasons"....nothing more than random speculation pieced together by obviously planted stories...he left. The point of using media treatment is to illustrate reality: the "official reasons" are just as likely to be cannards as my media treatment "reason". I don't KNOW it was media treatment any more than anyone else KNOWs it was because Marrone is an "egomaniac". The point here is: you may have not gone "absolute" on thing like "egomaniac" but others have, without a shred of hard evidence to support any of it. I am tired of this site looking like what I imagine TMZ looks like. Enough is enough. -

Yes, it is. And if you think that isn't there for a reason.... But it is. And you've found it. +1 for you. Nothing like including an example of the behavior I am identifying...for those smart enough to get it. EDIT: I mean, it is hilarious, because I often get away with this sort of thing(mostly when DC_Tom isn't around to ruin everything). But you caught it. -

This media, is not the NYC media. Similar doesn't mean the same. They haven't earned that status. Marrone going to the Jets(and please, I don't care, so don't bother telling me about it), and dealing with that media? Yeah, those guys are the NFL of media. Buffalo has pissants pretending to be those guys. There is a difference, and any HC can look at the Buffalo News, which is essentially a non-profit/money-losing organization and say "Come on, who the F do you think you are, acting like you're Tony Reale? You ain't him, so spare me the antics. You don't work for the Dallas Morning News, so let's not get to big for our britches, mmkay? Those guys win awards. You ain't schit." I hardly think any NFL coach is going to sign up to take the, again, disproportionate crap after the first winning season in 10 years(and spare me the excuses, "you are what your record says you are" has been the standard for this board, forever) offered by this band of never-bes. -

See, you(and certainly some of the usual D-bags) miss the point this thread. I can admit that anything is possible. I...am not the one demanding that "anything is better than Marrone, and that you all better conform to my thinking...or I will call Doug Marrone, and you, names!" be the ONLY POV allowed on this board. See, I believe in freedom, especially when it comes to expression. Some here (especially the usual D-bags) believe in the opposite = one POV, one party, one...everything, that comes from them, and is therefore absolutely correct. Contradicting them is therefore "immoral". (Which...is why I do it so often ) Those that demand we all think the same thing = "Marrone is the worst coach eva, and no matter what the next guy will be better! Rack it!"? I have to ask: why are they are demanding this from us? As you said, any number of things are possible. Yet, they are contradicting that reality, by demanding that we accept that only one thing is possible. I offer as an explanation that deep down: the root cause of this behavior is the fear that "What if the next guy is worse than Marrone? Oh man, then I'll feel stupid". Come now, do you expect anything less? -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is taking anything a moron has to say "to heart" an example of anything other than idiocy? Marrone didn't have to take anything "to heart", he could simply have scoffed at it, and made the choice to leave, because none of this is worth his time. Strength? Buddy, I am a consultant, which means I routinely have to listen to some moronic things from time to time. That does require strength. However, it also means that I can and have fired clients when I decided there were more trouble than they were worth, and our time is better spent elsewhere. That also requires strength. I can name names in the Buffalo media who have demonstrated their status as morons on multiple occasions, and are more trouble than they are worth. You want a list? I can post it. Walking away from morons/an untenable situation, never constitutes walking away from "a challenge". Especially when there are other "challenges" out there that either don't include dealing with morons, or, let's be realisitic here, mean dealing with significantly less morons. -

OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course we will all root for the next man up. We are fans. All that I am doing is conducting a bit of a reality check, given what I have seen posted here lately. You are exactly right to say that nobody knows what will happen. But that, by definition, includes the next coach being worse than Marrone. That possible outcome...has been completely ignored by the very people who've had the pitchforks out for Marrone since the middle of the season(ahem, a certain WGR guy comes to mind). In its place, we have these absolutist adjectives like "egomaniac" applied to Marrone, with 0 hard evidence to support any of it. It looks like people covering their asses after the fact, because it is people covering their asses after the fact. Nobody expected Marrone to leave, especially not the Marrone haters. This leaves them nowhere to go...so...after most of the season attacking him football-wise, he leaves and they get exactly what they want, and now they start attacking him personally? WTF is this? Why are they still talking about the guy who is gone, if they've already gotten what they wanted? That's approaching psychosis. If I remind them that the new thing they wanted might be worse than what we had? They go batschit and attack Marrone with invective....which is largely non-fact and spin almost certainly being spoon-fed to the media by agents? What exactly the F goes on here? That's what I'm trying to determine. -

OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depends on what you are quitting. If you family are crack addicts and alcoholics, or general a-holes, for any number of reasons, there is 0 weakness in quitting them. In fact that takes more strength than most have. The weak stick around, because they are more afraid of leaving than of the abuse. There's a lot of absolutist thinking being thrown around here. And I think its because the original question of this thread....It's unsettling for you, isn't it? Contemplating a worse coach than Marrone....after all the absolute statements you've/others have made? It would really suck, wouldn't it, having to eat those gallons of crow. This smells like "we have to be right, cause being wrong is catastrophic for us, so we're going to go out and demand that everyone agree with us, and beat down all dissent". It smells like fear, and weakness, to me. That is why I asked the question in the first place. I didn't start this thread the day of, because I wanted to see the reaction. I started this thread today....to expose some of the reaction for what it is, and I have. -

Or he's a highly competent coach who took one look at a clown like Jerry Sullivan and said "I'm better than this, and dealing with this guy is beneath me. Any job anywhere is better than listening to these small-time hacks prattle on." So, he takes his skills to the competition. This scenario is more likely than yours. You aren't automatically an egomanic, because you say "I'm not taking this crap from you buffoons". You simply have self-respect. -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're not going to get that from me, because I've haven't said one time that the Bills forced him out, in this entire thread. Reading comprehension is important. I have said that the Buffalo Media, and clearly their parrots here and elsewhere, forced him out. Marrone said "I'm not taking this crap from unmitigated morons" and left. I would do the same thing in his shoes. I've done the same thing in his shoes. He has demonstrated he can do the job at least competently. And therefore, he's in a minute group of people. The NFL needs competent coaches a lot more than competent coaches need the NFL...because: college. -

OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Weakness? They guy delivers the first winning season in 10 years and gets disproportionate schit for it? No way. Weakness is staying, and taking crap from morons, because you're too scared to leave/afraid you can't get a job elsewhere. Strength is repsonding to ridiculousness with a fine F U, and heading for the exit, becaue you know you can get a job elsewhere. -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure it is. Nobody thought it could be worse than Greggo. And then it did get worse, 2x. Dick Jauron was the low water mark. The games were unwatchable. There was only one unwatchable game in Marrone's tenure, and that was last season. I'll relax when I see improvement over Marrone. If I don't, then we are idiots for forcing him out, only to bring in a loser.....and as I already see down thread, we already have Buffalo media apologists trying to tell us that taking a step backwards in wins next year, given a much easier schedule...is something I should be OK with? F that. -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, nothing like redicto ad absurdum, otherwise known as a strawman argument. Thanks though. You've provided a real world example of exactly what a strawman argument is. Perhaps some in this thread can learn via this example, and I get to stop hearing the word strawman misused/applied like duct tape, to everything, all the time. -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The brain trust didn't force Marrone out. The Buffalo media did. Their parrots did. Thus, if the guy we end up with(and nothing says we will get our first choice, especially given how Marrone has been treated) isn't better than Marrone? It's not the brain trust's fault. They wanted to keep marrone. No. It's the media and their parrots fault. Period. Speaking of productive, perhaps the most productive use of our time might be thinking things through, before we start demanding immediate action. This would be helpful in a lot of areas beyond just the Bills. -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, so I guess you'll be the first to demand accountability, if the Bills start 0-3 next year against what we already know is a .480 win % schedule with only 2-4 really tough games on it, right? Because that will be..."real". If that happens I will look forward to your posts. I wonder how you drive your car, if you only worry about getting into an accident, after, you've already gotten into an accident, because only then is it...real. -
What if our new coach is worse than Marrone?
OCinBuffalo posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What if he's waaaaay worse? Has anyone bothered to ask themselves that question? I know the Buffalo sports media hasn't. I know the professional Bills hater Chris Mortensen hasn't...but that's because no matter what we do, it's wrong....unless of course we hire Tom Donahoe to be GM again. Then Chris will forgive us. The media ran Marrone out of town(without much thought), and are still killing hiim with story after story. They are the story now. They are the story, because if whoever we end up with is a regression back to all the terrible coaches we've had since Old Whitey? They will have to answer for that. You know damn well this board/their twitter/emails accounts will fill up with: "WTF did you do"? The fans will hold them accountable. And there will be no "right to change my opinion" for them this time. -
Yeah, but this is a "devil you know" thing for me. Boxer wasn't entirely without reason. She's no Pelosi. If Michelle, or some other far-left wingnut gets in? It's bad for the country. I highly doubt an R can win in California. Not after this electoral whipping. They have to hold what they have left. However, it does present the Rs with an opportunity. Losing the incumbency of Boxer creates the potential for chaos, as the wing nuts eat each other, in trying to get to the left of each other, to win the primary. This can generate all sorts of useful soundbites for the Rs. CA is big time, so it's not like it will be ignored. Meanwhile, if the Rs can get a good candidate to run in CA and get within 5-8 pts in the polls, that candidate can cause funds to be diverted from where they are badly needed elsewhere, to where they shouldn't be needed in CA. A lot of this is wishful. And a lot has to go just right. But, Scott Walker was never supposed to win 3 elections in 4 years....

The President of Egypt essentially walked into the Havard of Islam, and called for a reformation(DC_Tom's point, for years), and did so by directly addressing the Imans present, and calling on them(calling them out) to get off their asses and do something. Yeah. In Egypt. The place where the Muslim Brotherhood won an election not so long ago. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/01/06/africa/egypt-president-speech/ Powerful words. It must have killed CNN to write this. I love how they had to immediately grab whomever they can find and try to pretend that this guy isn't genuine. The man took the country from the Islamic Brotherhood, after they appointed him to command the army...because of his piety. Those are his actions, and who he is, and now, these are his words...but he isn't genuine? If you are going to reform the Islamic faith in Egypt, the best way, in terms of everything, is to first try and do that with the existing Imams. The last thing you want to do is start a Holy War in your own country by coming out directly against the Azhari establishment and challenging it immediately/trying to put your own guys in there, before any of your citizens have had time to hear and process what you're saying. This way, this guy traps these Imams. If they reform, he gets the credit(and deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, which he won't get, because these are the same people that gave it to Obama), and tons of Western support. If they refuse to reform, he can simply give the same speech. Which has 2 effects: 1. more assistance from the West 2. Confounds the left(and CNN) in all countries, and shuts them up, which = more Western support. He can keep giving that speech over and over, until he's sure he has 7-80% of the country on board, and tons of Western support. Then he can say "well, it's not like I didn't try", and gain/retain the support of the people, and more importantly in Egypt, the army. Then he can move the Imams out without incident. (It's Egypt, so summary execution is a credible option). He consolidates power internally, and externally, and all he has to do is talk? This is an easy one. Leave it to CNN, and the random not-fellow they picked up, to miss the obvious tactical situation here. Everybody else in the rest of the links I found reported the story straight up. Except the usual suspects: 1. CBS link questioned his integrity and inserted speculation "Whether Sisi was doing just that with this speech or signaling another intent is not clear." If it's "not clear" WTF is it doing in a hard news story? The only reason his intent is "not clear", is because it doesn't fit with the CBS thinking on this topic. It can't be what it is, straight up, because that doesn't work for CBS. It has to be what it is, or, possibly not direct refutation of CBS's 14-year narrative on Islam, but some other agenda. Hence, it is now, "not clear". And....that's it. You can't find this story using google news from any other leftist source. Finally I ask you to be honest: how many of you even knew about this speech before reading this link?
