  1. Let's add some fuel to this fire...why not? This clip is hysterical Bills, Players, coaches not mentioned one time. I guess this "northern team" will just have to go 5-0, and then beat the Chargers, to even get mentioned by ESPN "analysts".
  2. Read that article and I think it's right on target. How many rookies have we seen rushed onto the field and told they have to play at an all-pro level, because of their draft pick spot, who end up failing miserably and get run out of the town that drafts them? How many of them have we seen end up doing well on other teams once they get a chance to develop?(Kerry Collins, Testaverde, Favre...there's tons of them) On the flip side, how many rookies have we seen who have marginal success, or even great success, who end up generating ridiculous expectations that they will never meet early in their careers, and when they inevitably don't, everyone turns on them like a mother-in-law?(Um, Vince Young, Eli Manning, and another ton of players) Meanwhile they spent the time before they mess up having their heads inflated to the size of China, and people wonder why they have "attitudes"? When do we say: enough of the BS? Because that's precisely what it is. This is why the NFL needs to get rookie contracts under control. This is also why some "fans" need a verbal B word slapping for attempting to ruin the game with this "Madden/fantasy football" mentality. As if you can simply "insert player here" and suddenly his Madden rating and fantasy projection automagically turn into results on the field. All this does is feed a-hole agents the fodder they love to eat, and then crap holdouts on us.
  3. Hehehe! I hope you're kidding. Why is it that Democrats always blame the religious right when they f themselves into losing? Here are the real things that Gore might have won without: 1. Bill Clinton 2. Ralph Nader and the far-left. You do realize that 100,000 voters in Florida voted for Nader right? 3. Gore's stiff, "I know better than you do because I said so", inability to look like anything other than a guy who repeats what is put in front of him, no matter how silly. 4. The far-left taking credit for CENTRIST policies working, and bastardizing their ideology onto good policy. Those 4 things represent 95% of reason Gore lost--->PERIOD!!! You guys all got angry at Bush, when you should have gotten angry at your own retarded far-left. For the life of me, I have no idea why you allow these idiots to go after a massively popular guy like Lieberman, instead of getting rid of a blatant George Soros sycophant like Kucinich. The reason? The far-left has taken over the Democratic party. Reasonable Democrats won't try, or won't be allowed, to spend the necessary time getting their own house in order and doing the things that will help them win. It's happening, all over again, right now. It will be interesting to see if the reasonable Democrats take over, get rid of the far-left, start trying to speak to ALL the issues people care about, demonstrate leadership skills, and provide clear, principled, solutions that they can defend in debates. If they don't, this will be 2000 all over again = Democrats find a way to lose an election they easily should have won. Hint: you don't get ANY of your issues addressed if you don't win. And, us independents aren't going to vote for Jimmy Carter, round 2. I need to see some ideas and some domestic policies that have at least a chance of working. And, I need a realistic, PRINCIPLED, and consistent position on: how we win the 2 wars we are currently fighting, how we deal with Iran, and how we deal with China. If I hear the word "change" again, I am done with you.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they did this next week. Peters can catch too. However, I think they brought in Hardy to do the pass-catching TDs in the red zone. Peters making a play would be funny, but Hardy making a play is probably better for this team right now. We have to get him going sooner or later.
  5. This "analysis" is the equivalent of looking at the standings last year and creating a score differential based on wins. Or, watching the playoffs last year and only bothering to pay attention to the teams that were there. It's as if the Bills don't exist. USA TheGay might as well call our guys Team X. So it's Team X vs. the Jaguars and therefore, "this is how the Jags did against the team x's of the league every time they lost last year". Simple. And the print press wonders why nobody is paying attention to them anymore. Perhaps they forgot about things like: the salary cap, the significantly increased importance of FA, and the fact that the early 90s was 10-15 years ago. But I'm sure their lack of work and doing their job properly is all the Internet's fault. At least the Buffalo News guys are trying. I think that last Buffalo Replay article was pretty good.
  6. The stats might be misleading, especially due to the "tacks"(titans) D line, but 33 rushing yards? 156 passing yards? That's pretty bad, and that was with their starters in there. We should make this easy: study the Titans game film and do exactly what they did. If Matt Hasslebeck couldn't figure out the pressure at the line, and Mike Holmgren couldn't make the adjustments to our D, I highly doubt that David Garrard and whoever they have calling plays can. Moreover, even if we ignore the likely talent drop-off, and even the lack of continuity, they still have to deal with Stroud. Not a good plan for them. It's not like he needs extra motivation, but there's no doubt the circle on this game is firmly on his calendar. And, we get the benefit of him working with our coaches, going over every single thing he learned about their O while he was there. All in all, the only thing I really worry about: screen passes. We can easily fall into over-pursuing traps and Garrard and Jones-Drew can both run well. We've got to be careful with those. I have a lot of faith in our secondary these days(Nate Clements who? 80 million what?). It will be a good test to see if they can cover a good WR in Matt Jones as well. The other way of looking at it: we may not even need to blitz them. With such a mess at O line, our front 4 will probably be able to put plenty of pressure on Garrard. I'd make sure we stop the run, shut off the screen, basically take Jones-Drew out of the game, and only blitz once in a while. Sit back in zone and wait for Garrard to start hitting our D backs in the chest and/or get a whole lot of coverage sacks. If O line is their problem, let's isolate their O line against our D line, and make sure it stays a problem. There's no reason to help them out by taking players away from pass coverage and giving Garrard more opportunity to get the ball out faster.
  7. Hey dude, nice seeing you this weekend. I couldn't find one, but there is a BitTorrent site that has the gamehere. You can get the software you need to download it here. Anyway, here's the steps: 1. you download the software, or whatever bittorrent client somebody else recommends because it's better 2. install it(5 minutes max), 3. go to the game website(the first link above), register, and login. (You have to give your email, but just go to gmail and make a new email that you don't care about, like fubar@gmail, or something. You need to click on the link, in the email they send, to the account you give them) 4. find the game(2nd page I think), click on it, 5. then click on the link in the first row(at the top). IF you did the software install right(which amount to pressing "next"), you shouldn't have to do anything, just wait for the download to finish. EDIT: If you are using firefox it will d/l it and ask you what you want to use to open the torrent file(not the movie) with. Choose "browse" and find the bit Torrent application. Should be something like C:/Program Files/utorrent(or bittorrent)/bittorrent.exe. Took about an hour for me. There were 5 files = a couple of pictures and 2 .avi files, one labeled first half, one second. You want those. Double click on them, or right click and choose open, they will most likely open in windows media player, but that sucked for me. Instead, I recommend the Divx player, window OS link here, to watch them, because windows media player has a hard time syncing the sound with the video(hey another sub-standard MS product, what a shocker!). So if you use Divx, click file, open, and then go "up" so that the path line reads something like C:/users/(your machine user name)/downloads and they should be there. Post questions here if you have trouble. This site says it's going to post the games all year. So, this might be handy, since the guy that used to stream all the games, timekills, is in Iraq now.
  8. 139. The whole "rockpile" was doing it, plus the corner sections. It's been a long time, and even though it wasn't the Dolphins, etc. or Bryan Cox, it was still fun.
  9. There's no need to call people out, we all know who you are. So, I wanna know... With Kirk Chambers playing as well as he did last game, against one of the "supposed" best pass rush teams in the NFC, it's clear we have a ready and stable guy to back up our tackles. I thought Duke Preston actually earned his roster spot this year in pre-season. In fact, I wouldn't mind giving him a shot at center if Fowler continues his so-so performance. I think Demetrius Bell is a project, but I also think that he can play in a pinch, and, with Chambers clearly on the ball, we have time to develop him this year and even next. I think Whittle has proven he can play, and while I don't think he can dominate, this question is about depth, not starters. Matt Murphy? Who knows? But they must have kept him for a reason, especially since he's hurt and taking up a roster spot. All in all, I'd say the line played extremely well on Sunday, and the only reason we didn't score more was Edwards' rust. ...are you satisfied with our O line and O line depth now? Disclaimer: I think we need to take a long, hard look at the Center position in this upcoming draft. Hopefully there's a 1st round talent coming out, and if there is, I think we should bet the house on him, and use as many picks as necessary to get him. I know we need another LB. But with the guys we have at that position in reserve, especially Digi, we can always use the rest of our picks on a solid 2nd/3rd round guy. I think we can do that because I see our 4-7th draft picks in next years draft having a very difficult time making the team(how many more draft picks end up on the practice squad? what's the point?). Doubly so, since our 1-3 picks from this year are having a hard time getting on the field, in any capacity. Also, this is very young team, with most of the starters we have looking at 5 more years, at minimum, ahead of them.
  10. That was us. My section, well, basically the left corner/scoreboard endzone. At first I thought: "come on, this isn't the Dolphins, etc.", but then I said screw it and joined right in. Why the F not? It was right after we stopped em on 4th down. Our sections were the only ones that weren't half empty by then--> mostly because the ball was right in front of us. It was as loud as it was during the 1st quarter. The D stopped them, we sang that song, and "it's all over", and then a lot of people started leaving. We stayed because we wanted to see the Victory formation, and the hear the Bills song one more time.
  11. I was able to d/l the game from this site: BitTorrent site. Pretty handy, and it only took about an hour. As I was watching last night, I thought I was just tired when I thought I saw 4 DEs on the field. Then I watched it again. Copeland Bryan flew past the Shehawks line unblocked, causing "Hassled-a-lot" to step up right into Ryan Denney. He tried to throw another "non-intentional grounding" pass but the refs correctly called it a sack. At first I thought Denney was on a stunt, then I rewound it and realized that the D line was: Bryan, Kelsay, Denney, Schobel. We rushed 4 DEs and got an almost immediate sack. Bryan was unblocked because their RT stepped back and inside = he blocked nobody and left Bryan completely alone. Denney blew past both their C and RG and he got there next. I think their LG was trying to worry about Mitchell/Poz/Kelsay?. This left Schobel 1 v 1 on the LT and he whipped him and got there right after Denney. I think Kelsay was supposed to be the stunt guy, but it didn't matter because the play was over before he even had his chance. I thought this was a great idea, especially on a third and long obvious pass play. Seattle had no idea who to block and it was an all out jailbreak in the backfield. Even the blocks they had lined up correctly, i.e. Denney, were no use because our quick DEs beat their blocker(s) anyway. As soon as the ball was snapped Denney's speed forced their C to turn sideways, essentially screening the other two O lineman on their right side, and he ran right past all 3 of them straight into the QB. Anybody else see this? We have to use this package again, especially against QBs like Pennington, Favre, and the entire NFC and AFC West, because I doubt anybody can stop all 4 guys speed rushing at the same time on 3rd and long, and most of these teams have minimally mobile QBs. Fewell or Kollar also put Kyle Williams on the end and rushed Schobel up the middle, and that caused havoc as well. All in all, I think I have two nicknames for our new and improved D line: Chaos Theory or Chaos Champions. Also, I was interested in why it was Bryan out there, instead of Ellis.
  12. Interesting idea, but what about one thing Buffalo/Canada is never short of? ICE. I would worry about ice flows hitting stuff, and the cooling, heating, cooling thing. I would also worry about some soft of disaster/terror event. That's a whole lot of people stuck in one place. But, it would certainly be cool. If they could solve all the engineering problems, it might even work. But, that's a very, very big IF. You're right about one thing, it would certainly be an icon. While I have real problems believing in the veracity of man-made global warming(nobody has been very convincing, and "because I said so" doesn't count with me), there's no reason not to do green stuff if it makes sense economically.
  13. A couple of points: some of my group were the only ones my section that brought rain gear. For everybody else, by the time they got to the game, it was sit down = instant swamp-ass. And, it was the first game of the year, and it was exciting, and we were on D a whole lot in the 1st half, and it was exciting play after exciting play for the first 3 quarters of the game. Therefore, I don't think this game was a good one to judge "sitting vs. standing" on. I think it's clear that there was a lot to get excited about, and somebody standing up and enjoying themselves doesn't make them "inconsiderate" any more than somebody who sits is a "bad fan". Both of those views are hopelessly based on individual perception/wants and have no place in a reasonable discussion that is attempting to discuss a general code of conduct for all fans. There is no way in hell you are going to ever get an agreement on this: so the only way is a compromise. People "should" sit down on O, and people "should" stand up on D, with reasonable exceptions on both = no reason to stand on D when we are up by 21, no reason to sit on O when we are on the verge of making a big play. This would make everybody at least somewhat happy. I think this past game, so many people were standing for the first half, it got to be a habit. But, this "no standing" thinking, "rules", BS, whatever, is never going to be enforced, and therefore shouldn't be expected by anyone, ever. If you think you should be allowed to sit the whole game and see it at the same time, you need to get a better grip on reality, or get a grip on the fact that in a stadium of 75k, you aren't the only person there. Perhaps your life choices have allowed you that status at all times everywhere else in life, but it's gone for 3 hours at the Bills game. Sorry dude, deal with it, and enjoy the game. There are much bigger problems in life to concern yourself with than an excited fellow Bills fan.
  14. While this isn't unexpected - let's face it, we need to 5-0 to be the lead story on any ESPN product - it's not that far out especially given what else has happened this week. Brett Favre is the only thing they can talk about since the Chiefs removed their Brady pacifier. 1. Farve played ok, 2. Brady was hurt(did you hear that yet? That went like a rifle shot through the stadium. I think about 27 people told me on the way from my seat to the beer line, or course I acted like I hadn't heard, why kill the excitement?) 3. The Colts, Chargers, and Jacksonville all lost, and Vince Young took himself out of the game? Or something like that. And, the big stories next week will still be: how the Pats* played without Brady, Favre, the Colts/Chargers rebound, etc. If we are able to beat the Jags, we might get mentioned a little more, but we won't be anywhere near the big story. Partially because we shouldn't be yet, and yes, partially because ESPN, etc. has a clear bias against small market teams. Look at it this way, they have lost the guy they have spent 25% of their shows on for the last 8 years. It's going to take time for them to adjust. But, in a few weeks, they will have to move on, unless they are completely retarded, because the NFL will move on.
  15. Without doubt, everybody in Section 138, us = 139, and 140 never sat down the entire game except on commercials. Seriously, I think I saw 1-2 fans sitting down the entire game. Then again, nobody wants to sit on a wet seat. The whole scoreboard endzone? Pretty much the same thing. Most of the big D stands, especially in the 1st quarter, were right in front of us. It was loud, proud, and Stroud(there's gotta be a T-shirt in there somewhere), every play, all the time, on D. Hell, even the club seat turds, after our entire section were yelling at them, got off their sorry asses.<--this is a problem. I think it's the exact reason why the stadium hasn't been as loud as the old days. Club Seat people: Hey! Neither I nor anybody else should have to tell you to get on your feet on 3rd down, or any down. Go watch f'ing golf if you can only get up for 3rd and 31. This game, we made up for them, especially when the hawks were backed up and right in front of us, but I see this as an ongoing problem. This makes 3-3 on my club seat observations. I really think this is the main reason why the Ralph isn't as loud as it was. This game was loud, let's hope it's not an anomaly. All club seat tools aside, I honestly haven't seen that kind of crowd since the SB years. I think I f'ed up my hand from banging on the seats. I know I'm not the only one. The thing was, as soon as it was 34-10, half the crowd started heading for the door. I thought it was "cocky" for a while. Then, I remembered that we haven't been able to be cocky in a long time, so I stopped caring.
  16. Anyone else watching The Blitz? OMG the biggest ballwashing of all time. Dilfer = "The Patriots are a team we as players have come to admire"? As cheaters? Mark it down, Dilfer is gone in 2 years max. It's just a matter of time until he steps in crap, just like Faulk, because he is trying to play the marketing line. This guy is an even worse announcer than he was a QB. Somebody please remind me why, of all the QBs they could have got, ESPN decided that Trent "throw off my back foot into the middle of the field" Dilfer knows anything at all worth listening to. Yeah, we have our new ESPN whipping boy. The difference? So far he deserves every bit of it.
  17. Whoop, there it is! Whoop, there it is! That actually started in my section on the Royal TD.
  18. Congrats. What a game, the crowd was great. I told my mom after..."you know this waller made 11Gs today?"
  19. Perfect thread for what I was doing on the fake FG, um TD! AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!! GET SOME!
  20. Just got back, doing a bio break and straight to the bar: 1. Great time with my family.....check 2. Great time a the TBD tailgate....check 3. Didn't sit down the whole game....check 4. 3 TDs right in front of me....check 5. Laughing hysterically, doing the snoopy dance every time I turned around, howling like a mad dog on D the whole game...double f'ing check. but, hearing my mom drop a screaming F-bomb on that BS pass-interference call...priceless!
  21. Thanks, I guess. I am doing something that I think is infinitely more useful around these issues, and I don't have to put up with worrying about some tool asking my my stance on abortion. If most of it goes to plan, you will see a result that actually makes both reasonable sides, and even the unreasonable people, happy. Especially because they will all get to take credit for it, and no one will be bothering me.
  22. Truer words have never been spoken. But, given the current congress, is that such a bad thing?
  23. I can't resist. So where's the other half Molson? You know, the part where I said there would be significant political consequences if you/the other far-left tards kept up with "The War is Lost", "so elect us for President" theme? Or, the part where I said things were getting better in Iraq? Apparently we are all "divorced from reality" and this whole thing is a figment of our "delusional" imaginations. Or, I'm sure it's Haliburton and Dick Cheney conspiring somehow. Hint: check the new polls = they all have the Democratic candidate and the Republican candidate TIED. You like apples? How about there's no way in hell this should have happened. You guys are well on your way to losing another election, and once again, it's your own fault, not mine or anybody else's, so don't start blaming us. Own up to the fact that you way, way, way, overstepped your bounds, and the Democratic Congress, "we just had to have", has the lowest approval rating in history, 2 years running. Honestly, what are you going to do if McCain wins? Start 20 posts a week on how he is stupid, but a smart enough to pull off massive conspiracies and lies, at the same time? Like I said, I couldn't resist.
  24. Dude, are you a lawyer? I'm not, and I am merely telling you what I have heard multiple lawyers, my friends and family, on both sides of the issue say. WTF do you want? Take it up with them, and leave me out of it. Isn't this why we pay these people? To figure out schit like this? Bad law that nobody can base new laws on is the exact same as bad foundation that you can do framing on. It's as simple as that. I don't make excuses, and I don't tolerate those who do, so cut the crap. You're inserting your opinion and I'm just talking about the facts. As I said, I don't agree with the pro-life position, so WTF do I possibly stand to gain here by saying the law sucks and needs to be upgraded? How in the hell do you figure that cloning and stem cells don't have everything in the world to do with the same legal concepts as abortion? This should be good.
  25. Molson, I resist making fun of you 9 out of ten times. Yeah, it's really that bad. And I haven't seen you around for so long, I had to ask....
