Trade Lynch?....No trade Fred Jackson!
OCinBuffalo replied to Frez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Especially when we lost 2 running backs in one game already this year. Hopefully the FO learned the lesson. While I am very much looking forward to seeing Spiller get carries, I want Lynch in the game for 3rd and 2. I want to see Fred Jackson start the game and take the initial tough carries, and especially be in the game on 3rd and long because I don't trust Spiller to pick up the blitz...yet. My prediction: I bet there are a whole lot of plays, including wildcat sets and motions that set them up as WRs, with all 3 running backs in the game(Fred can throw, and so can Lynch), that we haven't seen yet. No point in putting them on tape in preseason. Never mind the fact that McIntyre has shown he can make a play when needed. Anybody remember the '88 Bengals 3 RB backfield? That was deadly...provided all 3 of them showed up and didn't miss the SB due to cocaine.... -
The Hammer crushes This smug attribution of bigotry to two-thirds of the population hinges on the insistence on a complete lack of connection between Islam and radical Islam, a proposition that dovetails perfectly with the Obama administration's pretense that we are at war with nothing more than "violent extremists" of inscrutable motive and indiscernible belief. Those who reject this as both ridiculous and politically correct (an admitted redundancy) are declared Islamophobes, the ad hominem du jour. The Democrats are going to get beaten badly in November. Not just because the economy is ailing. And not just because Obama over-read his mandate in governing too far left. But because a comeuppance is due the arrogant elites whose undisguised contempt for the great unwashed prevents them from conceding a modicum of serious thought to those who dare oppose them. Ouchy. I don't know about you, but I will remember this piece in November. It appears, at least for now, as a sound summation of why and what is actually happening. It will be interesting to see how accurate it is going forward. Also, I will be keeping this link handy...for those far leftists who, after their 2-3 days of denial after the election, go out and try to blame everyone but themselves and their leaders for their abject failure.

Alexander Hamilton. Really. Wonderful, I thought we were done with Democrats re-writing history. I thought we were done with "civil war Republicans would be Democrats today". I thought we were done with Democrats claiming both Jefferson AND John Adams would be Democrats today...as if they weren't political enemies for 20 years. Now we have Hamilton = Obama? Did any of you pass your 11th grade History Regents? If so, how? Hamilton, the guy who tried to take over the Army and made himself a uniform for that purpose...is exactly like Obama? Hamilton, the guy who created the National Bank, as a private institution...is exactly like Obama? Enough nonsense. As far as technology goes: Obama believes in technology the same as your average sales guy does. "Don't bother me with the details, just make something work, so I can say 'it works'." He doesn't understand it, and he never will, but he "believes" in it...provided it gets him the non-technical results he is looking for($$$), and who cares if actually does anything useful or actually helps the client. Explain how the concept of "meaningful use" Link here = "belief in technology". If one of my people wrote an incoherent requirements doc like this, they'd be looking for a job 5 minutes after I received it. These people do my job like old people f, and while they may claim to believe in technology, they don't know f all about how to apply it, manage it, or leverage it. Worst of all, they don't have a clue how to direct it towards something that will actually produce results. Tracking F'ing smoking? How in the hell does that cut a provider's operational costs? Hint: it doesn't, it f'ing adds to them, because now they have to hire additional resources to offset the time lost doing data collection, and additional admin support to make the reports. Same with all the rest of it This is some health care Ph.D's wet dream, and will fail, as they all have, miserably. This is what happens when you let amateurs, sycophants and lawyers do my job. But I suppose you are ok with it, since they "believe".

"I see straw people." Got anymore boogeymen? Got enough straws to grasp at between now and November? Your party has had 4 years in power, and has failed miserably. In fact, they have accomplished maybe 15% of what Pelosi promised would get done in the first year. And, the stuff they have done that wasn't promised by her? Miserable policy that has no chance of solving any of our real problems. Pelosi, and the rest of the far left have had their shot and now it's over, thank God. Time for pBills, and the rest of the Hillary supporters, to remember why they were right all along. Time for all of us to put the far left Gremlins back in their cage.

It's been 3 hours without a single "pay attention to me" auto-reply from Booster. You can keep your irony. I will keep my results. -

See, Obama has been right all along. We should be paying attention to how Europe does things. Hell, we never should have sent those Marines against the Barbary Pirates, we should have just paid them off, then they would have stopped attacking us. Us dumb Americans will never learn. All kidding aside, if this is true, then it is a despicable act of cowardice, that will only invite new kidnappings. I can't believe that we are going back to ransoming people as though this was the middle ages. This is a real example of "the terrorists win". -

12 for 12. What was that about Danth's law? Perhaps you need to read your own links. Why? This has produced results. 2 times he has promised to end his ridiculous behavior. He hasn't followed up on those promises, but at least its a start. -

So, you think its a rout regardless, no matter what they do? I don't. I think they have a chance to lose big, and not lose massively. I think that once again they are facing a large and complicated problem, and will fail to solve it. I think that what they do has little chance of being in line with their goals, or the country's in terms of making sure the best stay in office, and little chance of providing a solution that makes things better, rather than worse. Their batting average says they will put the money into the losing races, and ignore the ones they have a chance at saving, risking everything. And, when they get routed, instead of learning from their mistakes, they will busy themselves with blaming everyone else. -

So is this the end of the crusade? Or, do I get to look forward to more posts that add 0 value? Christ, at least if you were still a bartender I could get a drink out of the deal. -

As evidenced by your 98% reply rate to everything I post. Look, you can call me all the names you want. Names mean nothing. I am calling out your behavior. You say your Retard's Crusade is over...well, we will believe it when we see it. Let's see the behavior. I knew the bar tending thing would provide the required response. Who has a glass jaw again? Who is predictable? Please. -

Yes, yes, and I have a car and you are standing in the street. You can choose to stand there and let me hit you, or you can get the f out of the way, and then call the cops. But, what's important here is not my bad driving, or my indifference for human life, or the plain fact that I shouldn't be allowed to have a car because nobody can trust me. No, what's important is to remember that you have a choice. 8 year old arms aside, the problem is that we are dealing with a f'ed up mindset here, and f'ed up values. No amount of apologist crap or appeasement is going to change the fact that you apparently think its a good idea to negotiate with people who have the exact same veracity and credibility as Dr. Evil. Ok, Mr. Powers, please tell us how Obama's "engagement plan" has succeeded...and don't tell me it's going to cost...1 million dollars. Oh, so you expect them to do nothing with it? Spend 8 billion...just to have it? I can see threatening Israel with it...but that is only going to get it destroyed...by Israel. So what is the point? Perhaps you have some latin for "there's no point in spending that much money, that you don't have, on a weapon, that you won't use"? Using the nuke as a check on Israel would be a rational, dastardly, but rational approach. The problem for you here is: Iran is not being led by rational people. There is no "relative peace due to mutually assured destruction" endgame here...there is only destruction. The only question is who and how much? No, what you really wish is that I would have cared that I offended you when you were a bartender, and now, that I cared that you have a real job. Then, your petty little crusade could end. Sorry. I didn't care then, and I don't care now. You are going to have to continue your Retard's Crusade. Let me know when you get to Cypress and are out of money. I know a guy who owns a bar there, and I sure he could use a bartender with your level of commitment. Perhaps then you'll be done making yourself look...exactly as you are. -

The French, just like the Muslims, have to go back 100s of years to find a time when they didn't suck j/k Hey! You guys should get Obama to appoint a new head of our Heath and Human Services Department, and tell him his main priority is to make you feel better about yourselves by reminding us of what Louis Pasteur did to prevent disease. He did that for the Muslims with NASA, what about the French? -

I have...but point taken. I am still trying to figure out how that = "a dream project" for John Travolta....oh, that's right, L. Ron Hubbard wrote the book! Once you have psychologically committed yourself to the "fact" that the emperor's clothes look great...you end up being conner Oh, here's a review of a book written by another Scientologist...oops, I mean, Environmentalist....A Portrait of Intellectual Vapidity. Now that is how you crush a turd. This guy gives you a run for your money. Saw this on RCP today...hysterical. -
I have consistently made the point that liberals are their own worst enemy, and, the worst enemy of anybody they claim to represent. I have a ton of examples. Please understand, I do not question their motives and often I agree with them. However, I, and clearly, the majority of Americans, have serious problems with their methods. A new example of this "method" problem is now on the horizon: Will House Dems risk a rout? Taking the prescribed grain of salt with this article, it still raises an interesting dilemma. All wishful thinking aside, the facts are that the Republicans will probably at least take the House. At this point, the "right thing to do" appears to be: limit the damage and fully support the "soldier incumbents". My question is: given the Democrats long history of getting the exact opposite results that they intend, due to their poor methods, do you expect them to do the smart thing here? (Hint: another way to ask this is what would the post-1994 Bill Clinton do?)

I am curious as to whether our group's Hollywood writer will tell us if the excerpt he posted is indicative of good writing. And, I will be interested to see this movie in full, and ask the same question. Of course we don't have much info on this yet, so I am not expecting much...not that I am anyway. I just watched "W" again the other day. I say again because I wanted to make sure my reaction to watching it the first time was accurate. Yes, this is one of the most gratuitous, incoherent movies I have ever seen. If it was intended to be a caricature, then it succeeds, if it was intended to depict how the drama of the decision making process, and the people and their roles, evolved...its an absurdity. Let's hope this movie is accurate, and tells the real story truthfully, which is bound to be more entertaining than the douchebaggery that guided "W". Let's hope this is not just another: "let's make a movie that makes us feel good, because we can't stand being wrong" movie. -

Ok Darin, for exactly how long would you sit and deal with the BS the average Middle Easterner does? 4 maybe 5 seconds? Same with me. What makes me American is that I have exactly 0 fear facing any of the things the "average Middle Easterner" faces, and worse. Last time I checked American '= candy ass. I wouldn't take the BS off these people, and if it meant I had to die, so f'ing what? Better than living like a pissant. So, no, no pretending here. You're better off finding the pretenders amongst those who won't/haven't picked up a rifle....if you know what I mean. (The better question is: how long would they want to deal with Darin? Yes, I can see it: "Darin's one man bitter bastard campaign brings down Islamic state" ) And yeah, I don't have kids, blah, blah, blah, so f'ing what? I am so tired of hearing that crap. The fact is condemning your kid to the slavery of serving these regimes doesn't make you any better than someone who would be willing to risk their kids lives and fight them. If anything, the person who risks his family's life is better, because at least he is trying to give them a future. On the religion thing: Yeah, it's a bit tricky, I can see where this might be confusing. See, I was a Catholic by birth, not by choice. I had a serious set of issues with the church before the sex scandal(opposing the distribution of condoms in Africa in the middle of an AIDS pandemic, etc.), but that did it for me. I have determined that they need to completely resolve the sex issues and provide a clear plan for preventing future trouble, and, they need to reverse themselves on the common sense stuff like condoms to prevent disease. Until they do, they are "suspended", and I will have nothing to do with them. I won't agree to the infallibility of the Pope until he starts doing things that convinces me of it. In the meantime, I am open to investigating other religions and may choose one if it makes sense, regardless of whether the Catholics get their act together or not. So, yeah, I haven't decided yet.
