I did...and you tried to sneak it a quick edit....idiot! Actually, I saw a pretty slick ajax thing that changed from "cutting" to "trading" right as I posted the first reply. Just fuggin with ya. You know that.

You mean trading him? "You're an idiot" EDIT: And don't try to play it off with a quick edit.

There may be something to this, but there may not be. This may be one of those Football Outsiders-identified deceiving-type stats. Consider: Our O scored points early and often, which takes them out of the running game to a degree...so, they run less. However, we know they have to pass more to get back into the game...so, we expect the run less. And, when we are up by 3 scores...why do we care if they run the ball? We are most concerned about not giving up the big play, home run, TD score that swings momentum. They got some decent runs in...but they also didn't get first downs in the series overall. IIRC, the first long run came in the 2 minute drill at the end of the game. We were expecting and defending the pass, etc.(EDIT: must have missed the one posted above...I was in bar...so ) And, it's not our fault that their QB threw the ball poorly, just like it wasn't the other team's fault when our QBs couldn't throw in the past either. If you know the other team can't throw it on you, then you can run on them without worrying about running out of time. You can gameplan it. Bottom line: They did try to re-commit to the run in the 2nd quarter, and that's when we stopped them...when it counted the most, we forced them to keep trying to pass on 2nd and 7-8, because we didn't let them run for 6 yards on first down with any consistency.

Of course you are right...and...few of us don't actually do your job...we're just a bunch of trolls on a message boards, or, at least I am. On the other hand, some people in the media, not you, made a choice to cross many lines leading up to yesterday. We didn't make those choices. They did. If we hold them personally responsible for their choices, like not only completely disregarding the obvious improvements on defense, and belligerently ignoring Fitzpatrick's steady improvement last year, but then, taking it even further and talking schit about the city and the people... ....what is wrong with that? Are you trying to tell me that Sterling Sharpe is the best football analyst in the business? He's the only one who didn't ignore our defense. He appears to be the only one who actually watched the preseason games. And, the bad choices continue: I have had ESPN on for the last 2 hours. Not one mention of the Bills/Chiefs. Not even a small, stock highlight reel. Say all you want about the Bills burning the media in the past, but, the Chiefs were a division winner last year. Even if we give the Bills 0 credit for yesterday, and blame it ALL on the Chiefs meltdown...are you trying to tell me that story doesn't merit 3 minutes on ESPN? Since when does ESPN not want to report on Meltdowns? They devote whole segments to poorly considered tweets, for Christ's sake! ( I feel like I'm the guy that said "Are you trying to tell me that Jesus Christ can't hit a curve ball?" I don't want to be ridiculous, but I feel like I'm dealing with ridiculous, so fire with fire?)

Ah, time for my trademarked sig: "I tell the truth. Tough schit if you don't like it.TM" I use it more on PPP, but, it's just as effective, and valid, here. -
2 things. First, as my new avatar says: it's the eat some crow show. We have buckets of crow. Gallons of it. There's plenty to go around. The ESPN tool who not only dogged our team, but dogged our city? Crow. Sit down right over here. We have a 7 course meal for your sorry ass.... Mike "You don't say that you think you will win every game because that's not the 'adult' thing to do" Schopp? Crow Bulldog...whatever. Crow I haven't even begun to award the crow yet. I have the Edmund Fitzgerald double parked on Main street with nothing but Crow in her hold. Second, most of these guys are more afraid of how they look to the media guys in other cities...than they are afraid of us. They have been getting away with it, for me anyway, because usually with the Bills, I don't even want to talk about it, much less mix it up with some turd just so I can say: "cover the team, tool", and they can say "I am too cool", and get nowhere. Perhaps we can change this state of affairs in the coming months. I guarantee this board can be instrumental in that effort.

A Few Thoughts About The Game
OCinBuffalo replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will never look at a game and come away with quality observations about the right tackle. But, I know Bill will, so these posts are one of the many reasons I come here. Rock on Bill. -

Really? Did you think you were watching Elway vs. Montana tonight? Kelly vs. Young? Marino vs. Moon? I got 20 more, as I sit here pouring another Sapphire. I was taking a leak just now and thought of 5 of them. That's right, I can take a leak and think of better games/plays/players/matchups...I don't even have to try. Jim McMahon was a better, tougher, leader, in your face, "I am winning this game" QB than either of these turds could ever dream of being. Buddy, these guys suck ass. Phil Simms is a better big game QB. Boomer Esiason, for Petes' sake. I can keep going all night. I want to see how many of those yards were in the air....and how many were RAC yards. This is top tier Hollywood PR....for B movie talent. -

OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah...but I bet they both have great Madden ScoresTM -
....for me to poop on. This game isn't even over as I write this...but it's already clear that neither of these guys deserve half the credit they get. Romo is given the chance to win the game...and fumbles the ball on the goal line. Then, Sanchez is given his chance...and fumbles it away. Then, a blocked punt gives Sanchez the chance to run the 4 minute, kill the clock drill, and he sucks ass. Then, Romo is given the chance to drive the ball down the field and he can do nothing but talk to his receiver after he fails, again. Then, Sanchez is given another chance...and he gets himself sacked, because he is a moron. Then, Romo is given a chance to win the game...and throws a pick. Then, Sanchez is given a chance to ice the game by making a good throw and making it easier for the kicker...and fails, bounce-pass, awful. The kicker covers Sanchez's ass(hmmm Tom Brady back in the SB days?), and then Romo is given his chance...and he's not even ready for the snap. Cut the crap ESPN(insert big market here). These guys suck. Example: Mike F'ing Harbaugh(Colts QB...90s) was a better QB by far than both of these turds, and a better leader. In fact, I could list 30 QBs that are better off the top of my head, and most people(except TBD posters, of course ) wouldn't even recognize their names. Neither of these turds is better than Drew Bledsoe. Both of these two get tons of press and even more air time. Why? Because they play in Dallas/NY? WTF? I am supposed to be impressed? Blow it out your ass, seriously. These little emperors have no clothes. No amount of "ESPN (insert city), tell you what you want to hear so we make money" changes this either. This game was won by the kicker...after it was lost and re-lost by these two lamedicks defaulting to each other. FAIL!

This is either: 1. A nice, patriotic guy who wants to do his little part to commemorate the day -OR- 2. A cynical, selfish guy who wants to defray any trouble he may get in with Bears fans, or the fans of the team he demands to be traded to if the Bears won't re-do his contract, by covering himself in phony 9/11 accessories. -

Every little bit counts. And. Please. Check your post count there, glass houses. You spend waaaaaay more time here than I do. They would make you a mod, if it wasn't for the pretentious thing. Yeah, Yeah Yeah Stop being a phony, condescending, butthurt, lawyer-like whiner. -
Not really. Should be pretty quick. I need to see all of the plan. Not part of it. I don't mind rolling it out in pieces, because I do mind having to sit through 2 hours of mostly drivel, and a few meaningful things. I do that for work. I need to see the rest of it, and am unwilling to give anybody the benefit of the doubt. So far, I give the President an A for both the content, and the presentation. He didn't get too preachy, he acknowledged that there were ridiculous people on both sides, and he didn't act like he was above everybody. The ideas are aggressive...but again, show me the carfax. We have heard most of this before, but not all of it, and I give Obama and his team credit for that. On the Republican side, what do they have to lose by passing it? 14 months of higher taxes? So what? It's not like this plan saves Obama. Really. And, I doubt that he's going to get 100% credit even if it works. The only way he will, is if he can say he had to "fight" you to pass it, and can take credit for defeating you. If you just do it, or do it with small changes that he won't dare quibble with, then he's got nothing to say. If you do it, speed is the key though. Delay could also be spun into "fighting". Do it, and either way you win: if it does well, you can say it was partially due to you. If it does poorly, you can say you did exactly what he wanted and nothing happened, again.

Inner city youth mob attacks continue…
OCinBuffalo replied to 1billsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Or, more likely, it's just that these kids are a-holes...or...they believe what they are doing is acceptable, because their cultural values say it is. You are talking in absolutes. There's no way every black family has been effected the same way, or at all, by liberal policies. I am not saying liberal policies are good, but your attributing them to the chief cause of these attacks is silly. The fact is that these a-holes themselves are making choices. Nobody is choosing for them. -
Inner city youth mob attacks continue…
OCinBuffalo replied to 1billsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No, you are the racist...because you think being black means you commit crime, regardless of your economic status. AND, you think black people can't control themselves, because liberal policies control them instead. I would submit that the kids you listed have...good parents, more likely than not. The flash mob kids probably have bad ones. Or, maybe the kids themselves are just a-holes, like I said above. Are you saying that liberal policies are more culpable than the kids themselves? -
Inner city youth mob attacks continue…
OCinBuffalo replied to 1billsfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hardly. These attacks are a result of 40-50 !@#$s. How do you know that any of these kids have had anything to do with liberal policies? What if half these kids are from middle class or rich families?. Not every black person you see is poor. This is why Tom calls you an idiot, and I call you an unmitigated moron. I am just willing to explain it to you, he is not. Think first: the reason for this could be as simple as bad parenting. These kids are personally responsible for their actions. I thought conservatives were for defining things that way. If they get caught, should we let them say "the liberal policies made me do it"? Let me make your point for you, better than you can: the awful "ghetto" culture being espoused by far too many black people, enabled by their community's intellectuals, and tolerated by far too many outside that community, is at least partially responsible for these attacks. This is made clear by the public statements made by the mayor of Philadelphia. -

Shouldn't Conservatives Be Cheering?
OCinBuffalo replied to Dave_In_Norfolk's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I never said cut anything. And, we are talking Democrats in charge of everything from 2008 to at least 2010, so they were going to spend money no matter what. So cutting wasn't a realistic expectation. What I did say: specifically focus on retraining workers whose skill sets are too common, or less necessary, and give them skill sets that are just the opposite. Adult education. Yes, I know that it wouldn't create jobs as quickly as we like, but, we'd be in a hell of a lot better position now than we are if we had spent on this instead of simply throwing money away on the unions and only delaying the massive public sector cuts that had to happen anyway, and did happen anyway. There are tons of jobs in IT, nursing, etc. that are there no matter what, and have been this whole time. Yes, I know few people can be programmers, however, we always need support people, we always need hardware guys. I don't want to do that crap(cause it's beneath me ), and they make pretty decent money. The make crazy money compared to retail, or construction workers-->housing. Instead of trying to fix structural employment from a Rube Goldberg, monetary minutiae perspective...why not hit it head on fiscally? It's not like you can't get both small and big business to sign up to hire somebody that they only have to pay 10?...20?% of their training costs. Oh...that's right...Obamacare. Never mind. -
Shouldn't Conservatives Be Cheering?
OCinBuffalo replied to Dave_In_Norfolk's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I believe that there were substantive structural solutions. I know Clinton applied them. The trouble is: when used properly they decrease union membership. Or, they put workers to work in fields where there is major competition for their skills, therefore, unions are irrelevant. But, Obama doesn't want that. He is for change....backwards. He, and the rest of these clowns, want to go back to 1965, and pretend it's 1965. Had Hillary won they would have never bothered with health care, they would have done massive training and re-tooling instead, just like Bill did his after own health care debacle. We'd be well on our way to another boom. We all should have listened to PastaJoe.
