This type of stuff needs to end - Fan on fire
OCinBuffalo replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
See, the trouble is: you won't light yourself on fire. Oh sure, you'll point to the act as a "historical" turning point(Not even close. It was a mass media turning point, but definitively not a historical one.), but you'd never consider it personally. Why? Well, of course, you clearly have too much to say to the rest of us still. Right? We all remain in need your enlightenment, don't we? -

Nah. Fan on Fire is the personification of your life since November of last year. Here's the bad news: soon you're going to be up for a part in the Fantastic 4...but it's the Venture Brother's version. -
Yes, and on the season? Tyrod is good for .29 turnovers a game.

I dine on your elitist tears. I dare any psychiatric professional here to tell us that this aberrant behavior, especially as an outlet of fantasy, is 1. a real danger and 2. is inferior to the alternative outlets. People: You want to blame somebody for this? Blame Deadspin. They are the #1 identifier of Bills fans as the "other". What they don't realize is, just like with fans of all stripe, from Greatful Dead to Metallica: being labeled as an "other" is what ALL fans want the most. Hell, learn your Metallica "You label me, I label you, so I dub the unforgiven." There's a reason Metallica's message has reached a hell of a lot more people than the OP's. Introspect on that for 5 minutes...and much of the world as it is today will at least become clearer to you, if not correct. -

So, when Moore wins, what's your excuse going to be? You might as well tell us now, because we are just as likely to call BS then, as we are now. -

Perhaps, but, are we supposed to believe every accuser merely because they made an accusation? That's blindness, period. Duke Lacrosse case. Rolling Stone case, etc. We have a legal system. That's where stuff like this gets sorted out. We also have the presumption of innocence. However, thankfully, the guilty often behave their way out of that presumption all by themselves. Sleazy Harvey has destroyed his presumption with his own behavior. I'm still waiting for somebody to call him a victim. I really can't wait for his wife to call herself a victim. -

Agreed. It did start with the players. However, Trump/somebody on his team, saw a major political win for the taking. He picked a fight with them, and kicked their asses. IF they allowed themselves to be manipulated, then, they've learned, the hard way, to think for themselves. IF they were actively trying to add to their brand, using what they thought was a low-risk issue as a vehicle, then, they learned not to F with Trump when it comes to politics. I don't think there's a smart player alive who is happy with how things turned out. In all cases, it hurt them, especially when it comes to contract negotiations with the owners(EDIT: or, for that matter, with sponsors/endorsement deals). They cost the entire business a ton of money, over nothing. It's the first thing I'd talk about if I was the NFL. The political people on the left seem intent on learning nothing from losing. I don't think NFL players are wired that way. -

Watching half of Hollywood race to the podium to affirm, the other have race to the safe room to deny, generally have no clue what to do, and destroying what little credibility they have with every ill-considered word that comes out of their mouth(Meryl Streep, ouch)... ...is the most entertaining thing these people have produced in a decade. EDIT: I'm starting to think they won't be able to put this back in the box. That they are actually going to lose their ability to speak publicly about political issues. This guy says "he can't wait for the Oscars". I think he's right: they are screwed. -

Once again, the issue is over, and Trump has won. He gets a major culture war victory, cows the left, hammers the leftist sports media, and puts the liberals who have been trying to take over the NFL back in their place. ESPN is taking it from all sides now, and leftist media is running for cover. All except eminem. Yeah, he's the only one taking a stand so principled, that it clearly has has nothing to do with promotion of his new album. This is total victory for Trump, from every angle imaginable. If you don't agree? You're probably not supposed to, as this entire thing was designed for, and targeted at, people like you...to beat you, publicly. Now it's on you to explain to all the people you talked smack to, on the Internet, at the bar, gym, dinner table, why all the players are standing for the anthem. See, you don't get to blame anybody else this time. It was YOU who said what you did about this issue(ahem, Jeremy White), not DNC shills or consultants, and now YOU have to take this loss, personally. Thus, this is a political ass-whipping for the entire left. Leep talking leftists, and you'll be the party of flag/troop haters. Wanna see how that plays in 2018? Or, you can do the smart thing: accept that you got beat, again, by somebody who is a lot smarter than you, take this loss like a grown-up, and move on. Maybe learn something. Biggest difference between Trump and Obama so far: 1 Trump wins his fights. 2 He wins them with the MAJORITY support of the American people. 3 It doesn't cost us $30 M, and 2 years, to find out that Trump blew $200 M on his failed fight, like with Obama. We find out immediately, for free and Trump doesn't need to blow the $200 M(see #4). 4 Obama had to keep his fights secret. Trump begins the fight, tells you how it's going, and rightfully claims victory: on Twitter, and it costs nothing. -
No, I'm not saying that, because I don't see anybody calling Tyrod a "Clear Playoff-winning QB" or a "Top 5 Starter" or a "MVP Candidate" or any other such definitive "Good Tyrod" statements. I think anybody posting that is either trolling, or, again, wasting our time with nonsense. Call out threads are reserved for crusaders. Can you honestly say that there hasn't been an Anti-Tyrod Crusade, since he first got here?
-
BS. You get what you give. Haters, real haters, have wasted the board's time with their definitive posts: they are clearly wrong about Tyrod thus far. When I say wrong, I mean the standard pre-season pontification of far too many: "Tyrod will lose games/makes more - plays than + for the Bills, thus he should be benched immediately, before he gets the chance." Today, this minute, that is simply wrong. If you posted that 1 time or a 100 times, you deserve what you get, again: for wasting our time.
-
Posters: Tyrod is the QB of this team unless he is injured. That is reality. QED There is no point in getting silly over something you can't change. There isn't some accountant working at the Bills who is tracking # of posts/calls to WGR, and waiting for that # to hit a limit, so he go can tell McD that it's time to bench Tyrod. One can post 1 time, or a 1k times, and it changes nothing. So, what is the point of this thread, beyond calling out crusaders(which is a necessary action on this board at times)? IF you're done calling them out, then there's not much left to talk about, is there?

Don't go too crazy just yet....
OCinBuffalo replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this is the best idea so far in this thread. I have no idea who we are playing 2 weeks from now, and I don't care. I'm not looking ahead. The Bungles are the Bungles. You never know when they will suddenly turn into the Bengals for a week, and you hope it's not our week. The good news: we aren't playing them at home, so, less of a trap game. Heh, that was the year that I walked into the Bills 3-0 party by accident. Before we were 5-1, we were 3-0. I was just stopping off at a bar on Delaware, as I had for 2 bars prior, to warm up. I was heading for the Greek place in Allentown. I was still wearing my game day stuff, and was freezing. I lived 2x2 blocks away from this place, and was in there all the time. So, I walk in and blow by everybody thinking that 1.) it's my bar, and 2.) it's Sunday, so, if you live in real cities you know: most of their best bars have "African American Night" on Sunday. No big deal. I'm cold, I want a drink, and I don't care if I'm the only white guy in the place. I get to the bar, order a drink and turn around...to see the entire Bills team looking at me like "Um, is that guy a sponsor?" Robert Royal was right next to me, got it immediately, and started laughing his ass off, and now I'm thinking "Oh, F me". So, I do what I always do: goof. It was bizarre though. You've never seen so many female "massage therapists" in one bar. At one point I asked if there was a massage therapist convention in town. As I said: goof around. What a great night. There was basically most of the Bills team, one turd that kept trying to charge me for talking to them(who I physically threw out, and got a standing O from the team), 2 other fans, and I. We all thought we were world-beaters that night. The best was: I told Spencer Johnson that my mom said "you can't expect (Marcus) Stroud to do everything on the line by himself, you're a FA too, and you better earn your money". Which made Stroud howl laughing, and say "That's right!." Johnson was amazed and befuddled. He asked "Are you serious, you're mom knows who I am, what position I play, that I'm lining up next to this guy?" I said: "Yup, get used to it." -
Heh, what a convenient way to go after those of us at /The_Donald/, and our memes. Yes, everybody in our group works at the behest of the Russians! Sen. Mark Warner is about to learn about the internet. He has, once again, united /pol/ from 4chan and us, and we don't like each other very much. CNN absolutely lost the last war that united us, in every way. Warner, like CNN, is stupidly treating all of us the same, and moving the line from where it is: with real hackers and bad actors one side, and the rest of us on the other, to putting ALL of us on the same side, with no consideration of the consequences. This is literally how Anonymous gets spawned. They never comprehend. Anon is not a group with leaders and a platform. It's more like a magic spell that gets cast against bad behavior. The only goal for this incarnation: force Mark Warner to put the line back where it belongs.

Yes, it is Dangerous Rhino's inner self-hatred that is driving everything he says. It couldn't be that he has his facts straight, has analyzed them, and found the Democrats, as he says, bullshite, wanting. No, the only explanation that fits the facts is Greggy must have a psychosis, or at least mental trauma, of some sort. After all, each special group that falls under the protection of the Democrats, should, therefore, must, thus, will all vote for the Democrats, and must agree with every single talking point, because they owe. Each identity group's newly contrived extra-Constitutional rights must be protected, but, the price for that is surrender of all their individual rights/thoughts/opinions, on everything else that isn't group-specific, to the protectors. Anything else is scary, because it is crazy, and thus dangerous for the country.

Trump sets up this form of grandstanding for one reason: to expose the agenda behind it, and then to win against it. -

One could say they swing right, but more importantly: independent, which is where the end zone is. How many antifa-types have you met at a game? I only ran into 1: a Canadian. The far left stays away. Why try to "unite the country" with them? Better to simply antagonize them into a trap, belittle them once caught, turn the public even further against them, and pick up even more votes...all for the "cost" of a few tweets. If this was a "mistake" by Trump, and was working so badly, why did Trump do it again on Monday? EDIT: oops I wrote too much here and had to delete, per crybaby protocol. Back to 5 lines. You'll just have to wait until somebody says this is wrong for the rest. -
Conclusion first: I'll say it again, the media/leftists are Trump's puppets. He merely has to tweet to get them to dance to the tune he wants. His SOP since day 1 is to get them, to get themselves, onto the unpopular/wrong side of an issue. After this set-up, he then dunks on them. Recent example: This entire national anthem thing is, in fact, a huge political win for him nationally and, in WNY especially. Complainers about these polls: I refer you to Nate Silver and the polls prior to election 2016. But this time, look at these #s, there's no "margin of error"/methodology excuse here. This Bills FO had better read these polls, and act accordingly, soon. ---- We're gonna try this the long-post crybaby way == 5/6 line post(depending on your device, more), rather than me preempting the nonsense I know is coming. Rest assured I've got my nonsense repellent written in a handy wordpad. We'll see if the clowns make me cut and paste it all...

...according to its own author. EDIT: Although it does take 4 paragraphs before he actually admits it. I read that book when it came out and since I know...just a little bit...about analytics, I've been calling it utter BS ever since. Unfortunately, the entire D party, and some Rs have been using it as one of their playbooks, if not the only one, since it came out. So I ask once and for all, can we finally stop pretending that ALL Asians/Latinos/everybody will vote the same as blacks? Can we start focusing on the individual liberty and opportunity for every human(which, is basically WTF this country is about), and end the racist policies of special, government-controlled protection and privilege by group? Look, the guy who wrote this book says this: It's not going to happen. This comes from the very guy who told you it was going to happen. Get it, clowns?

And let's hope it continues. Just not on the Bills morning pregame show on WGR. Rather let's hope it continues everywhere else, all the time, because if the Ds refuse to learn how badly identity politics has failed them, and return to it in 2018, and 2020...the Rs will roll over them like English tanks did German soldiers at Amiens. See, as I have been saying all along(since I got here), it is really the Ds who are destroying themselves. Trump knows that, which is why he ran. His tweets this weekend, were as intentional as they were genius. Trump simply helped the Ds/media along, by giving them something, yet again, to clutch their pearls and signal their virtue...while the majority of the country who are pissed off by players kneeling, now have yet another reason to hate leftists. Therefore, they will again punish the Ds who continuously refuse to kick the leftists out of their party. The media still don't realize that they are merely Trump's puppets. In fact, it could be argued that leftists are taking over the D party. If that continues, and is fully realized? Prepare for Trump win NY in 2020, and only lose CA and VT, maybe a few small states as well. It will be a Mondale/McGovern type defeat for the Ds, but worse, because Congress and state houses and governors will be even worse for them than they are today. The massive long term failure of the D party was clear to me after the 2006 election. I posted the why and hows many times here. Ten years on, I still can't believe that they didn't/don't see it, yet here it is.

WGR has been totally leftist idiotic this morning.
OCinBuffalo replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No. See, a snowflake is somebody who can't hear the other side of an argument, because they might melt, so they have to run to a safe space/ban that argument/ban the person who makes it/surround themselves in a bubble of snowflakes. (Which is not you, btw) Which is exactly what Jeremy White & clown did this morning. As you know from personal experience, I can hear both sides of the argument just fine: I destroy leftist posts/posters using their own arguments(which are hardly ever thought out) against them. I also destroy leftist parrots, because by definition, they don't understand the inner workings of the arguments they parrot. And besides, you know what this board was like in 2005. But, in 2009-10, when the details of just how bad Obamacare was, and, Obama showed he was going to piss away his chance at being a historical president in favor of unworkable progressive nonsense(Solyndra)...you all ran away from PPP, because you knew what was coming, culminating, and this is fact: with a gutted D party and President Trump. So, who are the real snowflakes? I've been here since 2005, and I'm still here. -

Only a moron doesn't recognize confirmation bias when he hears it. That's exactly what this is: and is therefore a fact. Perhaps if more had recognized their own confirmation bias last year, things would have been different. But they didn't, did they? Confirmation bias is 2nd only to cliches as the enemy of actual, rigorous, thought.
