  1. Before the Golden State Warriors built their new arena in San Francisco, they released a rendering that looked just like a closed-lid toilet. It was hilarious. How they couldn’t see it was mind boggling? The “Oakland” A’s first stadium design release was just a picture of the Oakland Coliseum superimposed on the Tropicana site. Their latest one looks like a picture of the Sydney Opera House. I can still hear Howard Cosell doing the Monday Night Football highlights “Oakland Alameda County Stadium. The venerable (look it up, Thurman) one, Kenny Stabler… “
  2. I’ve been wondering why I never saw anybody try it. Odds are that a receiver, no matter how good, couldn’t catch a strongly kicked ball. Toledo accidentally did it against Buffalo, with the Bulls player trying to avoid it like they were playing dodge ball but it hit his leg. Then, that Bulls player outhustled all the “Rockets” and recovered the ball 10 yards back upfield. Tremendous play.
  3. Too much money tied up in him. It would result in a dead money hit. If they were going to do anything they should have signed McManus, but I guess he might not fit the “culture”.
  4. I hope I don’t have to watch one more pass where Hollins can’t find the ball.
  5. I thought a couple of Troy Aikman’s comments were telling. On replays of unsuccessful Bills pass attempts, he pointed out that the Bills receiver was running his route too horizontal and needed to angle it more to get better separation from the DBs. On one it was Samuel, who’s in his 8th season. Are they not getting proper coaching of route running techniques?
  6. Excuse me! I watched Cooper a fair amount with the Raiders. He would make a great catch on one play, then on his next target he’d be wide open for a first down, ball on target and he’d drop it. Hopefully he’s improved his focus as he’s matured.
  7. I read today that Quinnen Williams got a hand on the XP but it may have missed anyways.
  8. In a loss, “8 seconds”?
  9. It looked like deja vu of the infamous Brady non-fumble. I didn’t like that rule then and don’t like this call. He was not in the passing motion, he was bringing it back so it’s a fumble. Isn’t that what Brady frequently did?
  10. Regarding the Bass “missed” extra point, I’ve noticed some poor broadcast production in recent weeks, both for the NFL and college football. After the extra point, they showed a replay as they went to commercial break that clearly showed a Jets defensive lineman jumping up and getting a hand on the ball. When they came back from the break, they didn’t talk about it and kept referring to it as a miss by Bass. When watching a college game, there was confusion on the field and the refs were huddled up so the broadcast took a break with the announcer saying “we’ll give you an update when we return”. When they returned, they just announced down and distance and made no mention of what the discussion was about.
  11. Dammit! Now you jinxed him!!
  12. I could not believe they rushed only 2 on the Hail Mary play. In the postgame Rodgers even said “ since they only rushed 2, we had all day to set it up.” Why do they keep making these poor strategy decisions at the end of halves/games?! It’s time McD applies the Costanza Opposite Logic. Whatever is the first thing that comes to his mind, do the opposite. You just know if he ever gets this team to the Super Bowl, he’ll do something stupid to lose the game. I have not agreed with all the discussion about firing McD in the last few years, but I’ve just about lost all confidence in him and his partnership with Beane in putting a team together. Even though some of the penalties called against the Bills were bad calls, they seemed out of control with the unsportsmanlike calls. That’s discipline that’s supposed to come from the coaches, captains and veteran leaders that was lacking. Fortunately the ghosts of Tom Sestak, Mike Stratton and others pushed those 2 Jets FG attempts to clang off the uprights and they won the game.
  13. Yeah, I feel very fortunate to have attended a Super Bowl, even if the Bills weren’t in it. I attended Super Bowl XIX at Stanford Stadium. Ticket face value was $60 and I paid $120 to someone outside the stadium. Even though I was in the 2nd row from the top, it was still an experience. I’m sure many of you attended at least one of the Bills Super Bowls but I wasn’t able to. To see that the tickets for this past SB were $6500 was totally ridiculous.
  14. Even the hiring of Dabol was strange. In his prior stints as an NFL OC, his offenses were ranked in the high 20s.
  15. Looking at what Mayfield is doing in Tampa, Browns finally had it right and then they didn’t. Thank you for passing on Josh, morons! But, Happy Birthday anyways, Jerrrry!
  16. Playing on Jerry Jones’ 82nd birthday, at home, on the national broadcast and getting pummeled by Detroit! I think Jerry might give himself a present by firing his coach.
  17. Yeah, they just had to give it a name didn’t they? And it failed. Seems like after Bass kicked one out of bounds, the Bills just decided to kick them all out of the end zone. I saw in one game where the kicker was short in trying to get it into the target area, which put the ball at the 40. It’ll be interesting to see if every team will start just kicking it far out.
  18. What does training have to do with a turf toe injury?
  19. in the first couple of games, the Bills were showing that motion with the wide receivers behind Josh and a few times that receiver was wide open. I don’t recall them doing that much this last game.
  20. Regarding lingering affects, his decision making on that last possession was suspect.
  21. why do some of you people keep saying McD isn’t accountable? He says in the press conference is “It’s on me.” Explain to me how that is not being accountable?
  22. I thought I remember someone being hired to help with game management? McD would still have the final say, though.
  23. Hollins looked like me playing outfield in softball.
  24. I don’t know if it’s been mentioned here but I put more of the blame for this loss on Josh than he has received. Somebody here posted the video of one of those 3 passes on the Bills last possession. The clip clearly showed Kincaid and another receiver available to receive a pass for at least a few yards, but Josh instead threw a low percentage deep pass. He reverted to his hero ball again instead of taking the shorter passes that were available. I haven’t seen any other clips so it’s unknown how many other times he did the same in his 9 for 31 passing day.
