That’s why I didn’t like it when they got rid of a bunch of our better players for basically nothing in return: Sammy Watkins, Darby, Dareus. Plus they let Gilmore leave and now he’s an AllPro. I understand they were in salary cap trouble but good talent shouldn’t be given away when you don’t have replacements for them. The draft is a crapshoot and they overspent on some shaky-health players. Star Lotulelei should not be the highest paid player on the team.

How about instead of running Gore at the goal line on the same play 4 times in a row, run a play action pass to a TE that slips a block? By definition, that was insanity. How about when you have 2nd and goal, you don’t get cute with a WR jet run that loses 10 yards? That’s a play for the middle of the field when you don’t have all 11 defenders within a few yards.

Just more players that were overrated. This franchise seems to do it too frequently. It’s only been 7 games but so far this rookie class hasn’t been very productive. Granted, Singletary was injured and doesn’t get the ball enough but overall they haven’t shown much.

I heard mention of this recently: Belechick gets the list of the refs for the upcoming game, reviews what kinds of penalties they normally call, and then plans and coaches accordingly. Since I never heard of this before, I wonder how many other coaches do this. Talk about thorough. You can bet it never even crossed Rex’s mind.

Generally the NFL season doesn’t pan out as expected for several teams. How quickly the Falcons went from a Super Bowl team to one of the worst. Rams have regressed from last season. Indy was expected to be bad after Luck retired. Niners go from 4-12 to 7-0. Are they really that good? As Chris Berman has frequently said: “That’s why they play the games.”

Exactly. It takes 2 sides to agree on a trade. Say the Bills were talking to Denver about Sanders, and the Broncs already had the offer from SF. They would expect the Bills to top it. So, would that be a 2nd and a 3rd? I’m not sure that’s a fair deal for Sanders. He wouldnt significantly affect the Bills WR corps in my opinion.
