  1. I have felt this way many times in the 50 years I’ve been following this team. It’s tough to not go all in on rooting for a team, but it might be healthier.
  2. Yeah, and the Titans going for 2 made no sense. The pick six made it a 7 pt game. Kick the extra point and it’s 8. If New England miraculously returned the kickoff for a score, they would’ve just had to kick the XP to tie. If Tenn kicked their extra pt, the Pats would’ve had to go for 2. Sure, Tennessee making the 2 pts would’ve made it a 9 point lead and game over but there were only 10 secs left. To me, that was a bad decision. The Tenn DB made a bad, selfish decision to score that pick six. If he just fell down, the Titans would’ve just had one kneel down and game was over. Instead they had to kickoff. It was fun to see the Pats screw up the multi-laterals quickly. Since Edelman was a QB, I thought he’d throw it. After he lateraled it to a teammate, that guy threw it 10+ yards back towards the end zone.
  3. Yeah, he has often mentioned that as a head coach he’s taken some from Reid and some from Rivera. Unfortunately the being conservative comes from Rivera. Rivera’s “Riverboat Ron” nickname is a joke on his reluctance to gamble.
  4. I rarely do. Play a defense poor against the run and they come out throwing. Play a defense poor against the pass and they come out running. Playing against an immobile QB and they only rush 4 and don’t phase him. I do have to give due credit for finally running that screen pass to Singletary late that got 30+ yards. Where’s that been all season? He might’ve scored if Feliciano would’ve blocked someone.
  5. Yeah, how did neither Josh or Morse recognize that nobody was there to block him? Also, empty backfield again.
  6. They gave up too many 3rd and longs all game.
  7. We don’t know what has been going on behind the scenes regarding the deep throws. To my memory, Josh threw a couple up in the 1st New England game with pass rushers in his face that were picked off. After that he’s been throwing them with less air under them and he’s overthrowing. We’ve seen Daboll in the past quite animated on the sidelines with Josh after an INT. Perhaps he lost it and told Josh not to put so much air under those throws and he adjusted and we’ve been seeing the results since. You would think they’d practice the deep throws to perfection but maybe during a game Josh is trying too hard not to throw INTs.
  8. So many to choose from. Some of my favorites: -Fred Jackson’s run with the stiff arm (twice) of the Bears’ Chris Conte, sending him to the turf, that set up the game winning FG - Dawson Knox’s run after catch where he refused to go down - Josh Allen’s hurdle over the Vikings LB Barr - Kyle Williams rushing TD in his last game
  9. CJ Spiller and Stevie Johnson also coming out of retirement?
  10. There are reasons Barkley has bounced around the league and we saw some of them yesterday. The game last season was an outlier.
  11. I’m really surprised that Harbaugh hasn’t been fired by Michigan. He’s 0-5 vs Ohio St.
  12. He flew in there pretty quick to me. My point is it wasn’t a coverage sack as you stated.
  13. That is exactly who I thought of when watching Yeldon today.
  14. Did you watch today’s game? On his second sack, he tossed the tight end aside and blind-sided Darnold.
  15. All guys who either failed in prior head coaching gigs or were first time head coaches.
  16. I guess he can go back to standup as Larry the Cable Guy. ?
  17. Yeah, like MLB expanded rosters in September, although they’re cutting back on the number of players allowed starting with the upcoming season.
  18. I hope you’re right. If the Patriots make the Super Bowl again, I may not watch for the 1st time since SB4
  19. I’m ashamed to admit I’ve occasionally watched the show. Usually Tub-of-Lard’s dad is on, who, on top of his struggles with the English language and his thick Cuban accent, rarely knows what he’s talking about.
  20. Class doesn’t win you football games. I’d rather see him take advantage of the opportunity to knock the opposing QB out of the game.
  21. What are you talking about 80% meaningless? A win gave them a shot at the division and a chance at the #2 seed and 1st round bye
  22. Same here, and I became a fan for the 1970 season. Shaw to Briscoe and Moses. I stuck with the Golden State Warriors for 35 years before finally experiencing a championship. I’ve stuck with the Oakland A’s who’ve now gone 30 years since the 1989 Series win, which I wasn’t able to fully enjoy due to the earthquake. Then there’s the NHL. Fan of both the Sabres and the San Jose Sharks since their inaugural seasons. That’s 48 seasons for the Sabres and 27 seasons for the Sharks with no Stanley Cups. In case you think my math was wrong, remember that the 2004-05 season was cancelled so technically next season will be the Sabres 50th.
  23. For me, one of the worst broadcasts ever was the Teddy Bruschi comeback game on ESPN. Let me start out by saying I do recognize that it was amazing for him to come back and play after a stroke. However, that broadcast was way over the top. They must’ve shown him a thousand times. Bills make a big play on offense, they show Bruschi. Bills score a TD, they showed Bruschi. Bills make a big defensive play, they showed Bruschi. I thought for sure he was going to be the first person to be canonized as a saint while still alive and there would be a news break during a Bills broadcast just as they were in position to score a winning TD.
