The word “process” is somewhat being misused by McDermott. A process is a sequence of events. For the Bills it is more of a philosophy and culture. For the 76ers, the Process was to get rid of high priced players, tank to get high draft picks, draft top players with those draft picks, develop those players and add supporting players to the roster. That process is over. You don’t hear people associated with the Sixers still using that term.

3 worst passing teams right now are...
BobbyC81 replied to Artem Lipatov's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, once every 35 years we get it right! -
What basis do you have for this? He’s never been a head coach at any level. There’s a big difference between developing and calling plays and managing the whole team and being responsible for game management. Some succeed and some fail. Norv Turner is one example of a very good OC who never had success at multiple tries as head coach.

The replay of that pass from the end zone camera was awesome. The pass protection at times this season has been unbelievable. Josh has time to go thru all his progressions not only once but twice. Several times I’ve rewound plays to see how much time he had before throwing or running and it has been 7 to 9 seconds.

I believe the issue may be that they can’t be found because they’re sold out.

Diggs proves the trade skeptics wrong
BobbyC81 replied to 27yankees's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes but Jefferson has Thielen as an established #1 receiver and a veteran QB. If he was drafted by Buffalo to be the #1 WR with Allen as QB, I have my doubts that he would’ve had the impact Diggs has had. Allen would probably have shown improvement but not to this level. -
I watched the Steelers/Washington game and the Redsk..., um...Washington punter was a lefty. Looked weird.

You’re not saying Hodgins is on IR with a phantom injury, are you?

Since the NFL has a yearly Combine, which all teams attend, the results of drafts are more influenced by luck and player development than drafting ability of the GMs. Having said that, it’s the picks where GMs think they’re smarter than everyone else that gets them in trouble. Drafting for need and taking a player earlier than expected (Ex: QBs Chris Ponder and EJ Manuel in the first half of the first round) usually doesn’t work out. Still a team’s developed philosophy in drafting players can also make a difference if they stick to it. If a team’s philosophy is to stay away from knuckleheads and prima donnas, that will probably benefit them in the long run in maybe having less draft busts. I still don’t know how the Raiders didn’t ask the right questions in interviewing JaMarcus Russell to realize he was a knucklehead. Maybe asking him where he expected to be in 5 years would’ve resulted in an answer of “being rich and kicking back drinking me some purple”

Kubiak (TBN) take on Bills-Chargers

Dude, It’s would’ve, could’ve and should’ve. They are contractions that are short for could have, etc. I’m sorry that the education system has failed you. -
Speaking of Lynn, what the heck has happened with him? He was 9-7 his first year with the Chargers, then an impressive 12-4 the next season. Now, he’s followed up a 5-11 in 2019 with a 3-8 so far. Yes his record could be affected by injuries and the players lost and acquired but the way he looked this past week wasn’t very good. They’ve also blown several double-digit leads. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him fired after the season.

The Art of Defending the Hail Mary
BobbyC81 replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the “Hail Murray’, which I’ve watched dozens of times now, White had his hand on the ball and it was starting to move down when Poyer came flying in and knocked him down. Hopkins then got control again. -

Be patient. It’s a process. -
I noticed that after Josh hurt his ankle, on his next couple of runs they were hitting him late out of bounds with no calls. I believe that contributed to his response after scoring. So, they penalize him for that but no penalties are called when a defender recovers a fumble at his own 20 and after the play he and all his defensive teammates, and probably some off the bench, run all the way down to the other end of the field so they can see themselves posing on a field level big screen behind the end zone. What were they thinking when they started putting those screens there?

I’ll believe it when I see it. Coordinators get fired. Coughlin got sent packing, yet Saint Doug is still standing. His record of never having been fired still stands. Maybe he’ll resign to keep that going.

2021 Premature Draft- List your top 3 positions of need

Since the Bills just had their bye week and McDermott said they’d be working on the running game, I’ll reserve judgment on the RBs until after the next couple games. -
ESPN puts another long time Host on waivers
BobbyC81 replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apparently they brought it back, but it’s on ESPN+, which, of course, will cost you more. They have another highlights show on ESPN called Rewind, which was renamed after they brought back Bergman on the new Primetime. Rewind isn’t as good. I watch the NFL Network version, which continues to change and is now hosted by Chris Rose alone. -
Great set of pics. My favorite Bill, Brave & Sabre.
