I think it’s a psychological move. If he stays, he won’t be able to make a game-winning play against them in the playoffs. Maybe he’ll end up on the practice squad so the coaches can say “This is the guy that made the key play against you in the playoff game. Get him!”
I don’t get it. Diggs is very similar to Brown. In one of the best drafts for WRs, they trade their 1st round pick for a copy of what they had?
I suppose signing Devin Funchess to a huge contract is next, to get the big WR.
They’ve struggled to have another WR to play consistently enough to avoid Hopkins being doubled and triple-teamed. Fuller is always injured and is pretty much just a one dimensional deep threat.
So, did Beane just assume it would cost too much to get Hopkins. Maybe he could’ve got him for a 1st and Yeldon.
So, why then did the ref in the end zone back away when the returner tossed the ball to him? This was a playoff game. You should have the better refs in this game that know the rules.
It’s just a hat. Last season there was an ugly style of hat that players and coaches were wearing on the sidelines that each team had a version of. It doesn’t mean the Rams have a new logo.
