  1. The way the defense started out it was “0h Sh!t!” Two straight runs for first downs followed by a 9 yard run. Then they tightened it up. Edwards had 23 yards on that first drive but finished with only 42. Sure they got 150 yards as a team but it took 32 carries. With Jackson being their QB, I’ll take it. Game ball to Mother Nature for playing havoc on Tucker’s kicks.
  2. Doesn't it seem like Bizarro world? Just last year, the Bills offense would struggle to score 20 points and the passing game was still below average. Now they’re one of the top offenses in the league.
  3. I’ve always thought that way, especially in road games and against the Patriots. How many games vs New England did they get the kickoff and March down and score and the Bills never threatened?
  4. Has anyone else ever see elephant seals fight? It’s awesome. Obviously where Japanese got the idea for sumo wrestling.
  5. So, the football gods acted on that loophole signing.
  6. They have to fix that loophole. Players from eliminated teams should be ineligible. So, say Jim Harbaugh returns to the NF, or two coaches or GMs are good friends. His team is eliminated and has a Pro Bowl player that will be a free agent and they’ve decided they can’t keep him. John’s Ravens could use that player so Jim’s team assigns him to the practice squad so John can add him. I know that’s a different scenario and far fetched but could it happen?
  7. If Daboll gets hired as Chargers head coach and you’re Dorsey, do you go with him back to California where you grew up to work with Herbert or do you stay with the Bills to work with Allen? If he went as Daboll’s OC, he may not call plays. If he stays, McDermott might give him control.
  8. Sacks aren’t as important as getting constant pressure so the QB knows they are there and forces him to get rid of it quicker. They accomplished that a few teams, including that one end zone misfired pass. Great summary by Virgil as usual. One addition: Josh made a bonehead play that lost 23 yards and almost possession of the ball but he did not have a meltdown or play hero ball trying to make up for it. They got a few yards on 2nd and 3rd down and then kicked it away.
  9. The problem some (most?) of the time is that they are running from a standing start in shotgun formation. Sure Thurman did it well but he’s a HOF. IT’s easier to hit the hole if a RB is already moving forward when he gets the handoff.
  10. It will be hard to advance any further if the defense doesn’t tighten up. I hate zone defense. You rush 4 so with the O-Line being 5 players and the QB making 6, you have 7 defenders covering 5 and the TEs keep getting open? Then, with the zone, they’re not always close enough to make the tackle before the receiver gets first down yardage. I like the way the Niners played defense. Tackles are made in the secondary immediately. But, hey, we’re on to the next round.
  11. After the Bills scored to take the lead in the 1999 playoff game vs Tennessee, a hill person but a curse on the Bills resulting in the kickoff/lateral return to give the Titans. Since they were really upset after the Bills scored, they used too strong of a curse and it lasted 20 years. 🤪
  12. But his daughter is going to run for office in Florida. All that money daddy has stolen from campaign contributions will put her in. So she may take the more conventional path of starting lower and then move up. God help us. Kushner may be back!
  13. Yeah, I couldn’t relate. The quote from the Jags owner with Marrone and ‘class’ has me confused. Someone with ‘class’ doesn’t skip town without telling his Bills players he’s leaving. Someone with class doesn’t walk around proclaiming himself St Doug. Someone with class does not get into a shouting match with his GM at practice in front of the media.
  14. Yes, I thought it ironic that I was watching The Express on the day Floyd Little died. I did not know that the Bills drafted Ernie Davis.
  15. If that’s the case, why didn’t they just draft him or sign him as an undrafted free agent?
  16. It was appropriate that Jaquan Johnson threw that pass. He’s like the QB of the punt team. Later in the game, the gunners were out wide and he noticed the Pats had nobody back so they were going for the block and he moved them back in.
  17. I wonder if Dorsey could handle the job if promoted? Of course, he could go with Daboll. You’d have some continuity with Dorsey. I would not want to see a new OC with a very different offense who brings in a new QB coach. Josh has excelled this year being with the same OC for 3 years and QB coach for two.
  18. I’m rooting for the same. Although, having Dallas win and Jerra having to answer questions about if he thinks his team deserves to be in the playoffs might be entertaining.
  19. Where did you guys get this extra money to throw at people that don’t need it? Just asking.
