  1. Was it McKenzie or McCloud that was shaky fielding punts?
  2. I first started watching/listening to Bills games with the 1970 season but in ‘69 my home room teacher posted the scores on the walls around the room which got me interested. I would also look at the Buffalo News frontpage in the newspaper boxes on my way to school. I remember seeing “Jack Kemp Announces Retirement “
  3. I had just taken over my wife’s iPhone and didn’t realize it was set up with those banner messages. I had DVR’d the game and was watching it when my phone rang so I looked to see who it was and there was a banner of a text from somebody talking about the Bills win.
  4. Boettger, Wallace and Bojorquez are restricted free agents. Any of them get qualifying offer?
  5. I like him for his aggressive tackling but can’t sign everyone. They could always move Siran Neal back.
  6. Yes, that’s the smart way to play it. After the Jags, Jets and Bengals, etc. overpay for some of the top free agents, there’ll be less money for the others.
  7. Some in the media have pointed out that the O-line struggled before Feliciano returned, then played a lot better. He’s also considered a good leader and great locker room guy. Intangibles!
  8. As been posted in other threads, with the resigning of Williams, the starting O-line is likely set now with Dawkins & Williams at the tackles, Boettger and Ford at the guards and Morse at center. However, I think if Feliciano was resigned, he might start over Boettger or Ford and also be a very solid backup at center to move over if Morse got concussed again. Nsehke and Winters are likely not returning so they need to probably have at least one, if not 2, veteran O-linemen as backups that can play multiple positions. I guess they could draft a C/G who might be able to start, leaving Boettger or Ford as a backup. I believe Devey is also under contract. Can anyone confirm?
  9. The Bills seem to be taking it step by step. Ex: find out what it takes to sign Williams and then get players to restructure to free up the money. Hopefully Feliciano is next.
  10. Crap thrown against wall to see if it sticks. Unless it comes directly from a player or agent, it doesn’t have much substance.
  11. Not sure about that. With the reduced cap number and another good upcoming WR draft, most teams will likely go for a rookie over a veteran.
  12. Well, we don’t know what went on. Maybe Butler was more willing to do the pay cut.
  13. I still think it’s amazing that Eli Manning and Rivers played as long as they did without ever missing a game due to injury.
  14. I agree. I’m sure it was just part of negotiations but I don’t see how the reduction of 5 mins made a difference for player safety. Since they reduced it to 10 mins, in the games I saw, even if the first team doesn’t score, but they moved the ball some, they usually used up 6 or 7 mins. Then the other team had 3 to 4 mins left and you get into risk vs reward. A conservative coach may just play for the tie rather than take a risk that backfires and loses the game. I’ve always felt that both teams should get one possession, regardless of what happens on the 1st possession.
  15. I agree. His tackles were way down and he has to take some of the blame for the opposing tight ends running free all over the field. My memories of his key plays this season are a mixed bag. He was there for the Hail Murray but he knocked Tre White out of the play. He does always seem to be the guy that fields onside kicks. He emphatically knocked down the Hail Mary in the playoff game but then there’s the aforementioned TEs running free.
  16. Yes, and then he comes out of retirement as a player/coach.
  17. Occasionally when I see the WFT used, I have to do a double take because I think WTF, which also applies to that team.
  18. How about Sean’s rant on the Sabres the other day?
  19. Yes, that breaks the TSW First Commandment set forth in the year 1998: ”Thou shalt not start a duplicate thread” The OP’s penance shall be to say three “Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?” and two “It’s fandamanium out here!”
  20. I liked the way the XFL did “kickoffs” in their initial season. With the ball placed between them, One player from each team sprints to go get the ball. Yeah, it was gimmicky but fun.
