At least they’re more specific than NHL teams. Would this be a middle body injury?
-
Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a PUP to start the season. Or do they have to move him to IR?

I am not a Lamar Jackson fan but why WOULD YOU play him in a “more traditional system”? That was a pet peeve of mine for years. Until recently, GMs, scouts, coaches and talking heads would look at a running QB or one playing in a certain college system and say “he’s not a fit for a pro system”. Finally some coaches adapted their systems to the QB and we have some awesome passing offenses today.

Remember when he said the teams that took other QBs ahead of him would be sorry they passed on him?! Bwahahahaha!

How are they talking about covering the seats that doesnt block the view of the seats behind? Plexiglass?

OBJ responds to rumor he signed with the Bills

Eh! I have read that he’s weird and asks for strange, like specific food that is not normally provided. When you make the money he does, go buy it yourself! -
I Watched SB 28 In Full Last Night, Thoughts & Analysis

I remember when Marv was using rotating offensive linemen to send in plays and a reporter asked something about affecting continuity of the group. Marv responded with “Continuity is overrated!” I thought “WHAT?!!” You hear coaches and players all the time talking about the importance of reps as a unit to perform the best and how injuries affect the cohesion. -
Anybody know why the Bills are starting training camp so early? The Raiders also start on 7/18 but they play in the Hall of Fame Game. Over the last few years, the Bills seemed to be one of the last teams to open camp. Maybe the availability of St John Fisher?

In an era of running games, the man led WRs in receiving for 2 straight years and came close to a 3rd. -
I thought they dream of finally catching that damn squirrel.

Here’s my issue with streaming. One of my favorite inventions was the DVR. Record and Watch a game whenever you want and not miss a thing. Start watching a game maybe a half hour after it started and you can fast forward thru the damn commercials. This past NBA season, I subscribed to NBA League Pass to watch my Golden State Warriors games. It went thru the TV and the NBA App. When I watched the game, even though there were Pause, Rewind and Fast Forward functions, they ended up being for only 15 seconds. I paused the game and left the room for a couple minutes expecting to be able to continue from where I was paused but the broadcast had continued. When I tried to rewind, I found out about the 15 sec limit. You couldn’t watch the game from the start if in progress. I’m on the West Coast so I thought a work around for East Coast games was to start watching after the game ended, when you can fast forward, etc. Well, I clicked on the icon for the game and it went to another screen where plastered in large font across the top of the screen was something like “Warriors Win Led by 30 Points From Curry. If this is how NFL ST and Amazon’s streaming of Thursday games is going to work, they’re taking a step back in technology and I’ll be pissed.

My dad got to know him some as they were in the same pigeon racing club. Dad used to get me team photos and stuff.
-
He’s a cousin of the Lakers’ Anthony “Street Clothes” Davis.
-
Yeah, Jim Brown was my first thought. Only saw him in old film clips but he was like a man against boys, with his size, strength and speed. Wilt Chamberlain averaging over 50 points and 25 rebounds in a season was pretty dominant.

Exactly. The tweet is meaningless without further context. He’s feeling the pressure in playing for a team that had the original OJ.

Why don't NFL players have Tommy John surgery?
BobbyC81 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe for football, they may call it something different , like the Rob Johnson surgery. -
Didn’t we go thru this last year with a bunch of veteran O linemen to supposedly provide depth, then most of them were cut, leaving 2 rookie OTs?

USFL overtime: Three rounds of 2pt conversions
BobbyC81 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with you on XPs. A team scores a 6 pt touchdown but then gets to kick the ball for another point? There aren’t many other situations in sports where scoring gives you a chance to score more. Two I can think of are: 1. College basketball- when a team goes over the foul limit, the opponent gets to shoot a one-and-one on a non-shooting foul. If they make the first one, they get a second try. 2. Bowling- 10th frame- if a bowler’s first ball is a strike , he gets a 2nd attempt. If he gets a strike on that one, he gets a 3rd try. If he doesn’t get a strike on the first ball, he can pick up the spare and then have a 3rd shot. -
Starting in 2023, games can be flexed to MNF
BobbyC81 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
When I first saw the title of this thread, I read it as “games can be fixed”
