  1. Maybe for football, they may call it something different , like the Rob Johnson surgery.
  2. Didn’t we go thru this last year with a bunch of veteran O linemen to supposedly provide depth, then most of them were cut, leaving 2 rookie OTs?
  3. EVERYONE should read this blog by a former cop. https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/05/opinions/guns-ar-15-uvalde-school-shooting-fanone/index.html
  4. Blue uniforms with yellow stars?
  5. I agree with you on XPs. A team scores a 6 pt touchdown but then gets to kick the ball for another point? There aren’t many other situations in sports where scoring gives you a chance to score more. Two I can think of are: 1. College basketball- when a team goes over the foul limit, the opponent gets to shoot a one-and-one on a non-shooting foul. If they make the first one, they get a second try. 2. Bowling- 10th frame- if a bowler’s first ball is a strike , he gets a 2nd attempt. If he gets a strike on that one, he gets a 3rd try. If he doesn’t get a strike on the first ball, he can pick up the spare and then have a 3rd shot.
  6. When I first saw the title of this thread, I read it as “games can be fixed”
  7. He seems to have a Merton Hanks neck. I’d take that production from him.
  8. R-E-L-A-X. They visit Buffalo in mid-December. Frozen fish sticks!
  9. I started following sports in 1970 and experienced Bob Lanier and Calvin Murphy as All Americans and the Bonnies going all the way to the Semifinals of the NCAA Tournament. Little did I know then that it was the zenith for Western New York college basketball. Good memories. Canisius recruiting Larry Fogle to transfer there a few years later gave hope, only to end up crumbling due to violations.
  10. It was only a couple seasons ago that the Bills lost to the Texans in the playoffs.
  11. There have been many instances in recent seasons where a team plays on Sunday or Monday night and then plays on the other Primetime game the following week.
  12. That’s the problem. He was always hungry.
  13. The NFL Contract negotiators for the collective bargaining agreement obviously don’t consult the coaches before making concessions.
  14. i don’t understand why they think the punter has to be the holder. It can be a sure-handed WR (Bob Chandler did it for years) or a backup QB, which used to be pretty common.
  15. Exactly, Beane and company have done well to shore up other positions. Why would they just rely on a rookie and Jackson at the important position of CB without knowing when Tre will be available?
  16. Actually, they spun it off into another company with Uverse. They only sold 30%.
  17. Was out for lunch and the big screen TV had ESPN on. There was an NFL segment and they were debating whether James Cook was a legitimate contender for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Sound was off and I couldn’t read CC, but I thought it was interesting that anybody would be even having this discussion.
  18. Yep, I recorded a game the 1st week and watched about the first half. I left it on my DVR until this week, when I needed to make space to record the draft. I don’t plan on watching any more.
  19. They took 2 TEs in one draft before in Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews in 2018. Maxx Williams and Nick Boyle in 2015.
  20. From what’s come from the Bills, there will be no competing with Spencer Brown.
  21. With the name Wydermyer, I expected him to be a white guy with an already receding hairline.
