Monday night games - Dolphins/Titans, Giants/Packers
BobbyC81 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was following on-line until Miami made it 27-13, figuring it was over. Later I was looking at fantasy stats and saw the score. I had figured Miami could lose to Dallas and Baltimore, setting up the last game for the division. Never expected them to lose at home to the Titans. -
Has Dunne been banned from the Bills locker room and facility? He sure created a sh1### show!

Taylor Rapp being reckless and a liability
BobbyC81 replied to Mynamemike's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately I see him now and then talking Niners. -
Yeah, I had a similar experience here in Northern California. When I selected the Bills game a message said it was blacked out in my area. Even though the Raiders moved to Vegas 3 years ago, their games are still considered part of this area, so I thought that had something to do with it. I was then trying to figure out what to do and had the 4 game grid on the screen and noticed the Bills were now on after the Cleveland game I paused during the game and when I went back, it was now titled Buffalo/Kansas City. So, when the game ended, I rewound back to the beginning to see if I could watch the first TD, etc, but it only went back to that spot with 2+ minutes left in the first quarter, after the Browns game ended.

Philly, Buffalo, Kansas City - How Refs Treat Them
BobbyC81 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never understand the refs rationale on some of these out of bounds calls. If a guy steps out on his own, shouldn’t that stop the clock? I’ve seen guys pushed out by a defender and the ref still doesn’t stop the clock. Other times, a guy is tackled near the sideline and rolls out of bounds and they stop the clock. Like many other scenarios, there isn’t a lot of consistency. I know the rules are different for the last 2 minutes but you even see the players reactions to the unexpected calls. -
Ignore the trolls!

McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons
BobbyC81 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, the timeouts just added to my WTF reaction, especially the 2nd one. You call a timeout to set up a defense where 2 defenders are in a zone and let Kelce run right between them to catch that pass?! -
McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons
BobbyC81 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still believe either: 1) Frazier was given the opportunity to walk away rather than be fired or 2) McD wanted to make the defensive calls, so Frazier didn’t want to stick around I don’t think Frazier returns. -
Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired

How about another loss to New England? -
Which WR prospect will the Bengals screw us out of?
BobbyC81 replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
As long as McD is around it’ll likely be a defensive player, probably DB or DL. -
The heck with Mt Rushmore. I think we could come up with a top 100 for this franchise.
-
C’mon, it should never have gotten to that. The defense had just stopped Minnesota but the Bills were stuck at the one, fumbled the snap and gave up a TD.

Might only be Smiley, and Brady if he gets passed over for the OC job.

8th late-game defensive meltdown this season
BobbyC81 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
They were similar with Rivers. -
Ugh, the defense is giving up less than 20 pts per game, including last night’s game, ranked 6th in the league. Yardage wise they’re 10th. In what’s now a passing league, they’re 7th in the NFL, giving up just over 200 yards passing/game.

The ‘Prevent Defense’ which frequently prevents wins.

He was in position and had enough time to nail him and keep him out of the end zone. Wimpy attempt.

Yes, some people just can’t remember that Beane was hired after McDermott and had input on the GM hire. They are also on the same level, both reporting to Pegula.

That’s great! When I first saw what Brady said, I thought “wait a minute, he just retired”. It’s not like he retired 10+ years and is comparing eras.

We're Going To The Playoffs. (edit: Updated - Super Bowl)
BobbyC81 replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just posted the same thing an hour before you did. -
It’s not over until I say it’s over! As opposed to that 5 game stretch of blown games, they showed today that they could go toe to toe with one of the elite teams in the league on the road. I will kindly eat crow if I’m wrong, but I still predict, as I did last week, that they will come out of the bye and win their last 5 games. Miami will lose to Baltimore and Dallas and when the Bills beat the Dolphins in the last game, they will again win the AFC East.

Gabe Davis Miscommunication Plays this season
BobbyC81 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
But didn’t Allen say a while back that Gabe was the smartest WR he had played with? -
The playing of the game has also been mediocre overall this season. I used to like watching other games with QBs like Brees, Peyton Manning, Rodgers, Rivers, etc. Now, we’re lucky to see a couple games that are worth watching. Even Brady agrees with me.
-
Exactly. From what we could see from the broadcast, he was calmer than I expected. Yes, he should’ve complained enough to get a penalty and fine. In my opinion, there were too many key plays in this game to blame it on one call, but that was blatant. Should Josh have tried to throw that ball? Of course not, but common sense is not being used on there grounding calls this season. On that play, Josh was in the grasp and being spun around. Of course the ball isn’t going to go where intended. QB throws deep, receiver stops and that’s grounding? Ridiculous! I hope the Competition Committee addresses this in the off-season.
