  1. I remember seeing a post with two pictures from behind him of how he looked when finishing his colege season & how he looked at the combine. There was a significant difference in his physique and it had been reported that he gained 20 lbs.
  2. How can you call the Skins' O-line a disaster?? They had Derrick Dockery at LG and also Mike Williams... Oh, wait a minute. OK Never mind.
  3. Schouman was the starting TE to begin the season.
  4. These are professional athletes people! They should be in good enough shape to play 40+ minutes if they have to. How much activity does a player really have in a football game anyways?? What if the game went into OT?? Would they all pass out? Maybe the change at strength & conditioning will help this.
  5. The world ends in 2012 anyways. We need the Bills to just focus on winning now.
  6. Wait a minute. Your draft for the Bills is bogus. There are no DBs!!
  7. Don't forget about Edwards being unable to figure out what to do vs the 3-4 defenses. That's a big negative point to me. Some of it is coaching but after a couple games, he & the coaches should've figured out how to counter the 3-4 but they couldn't. Edwards started throwing picks and then reverted to check-downs. I heard a Steve Young interview where he talked about when he figured it out. He could read the defense and make them do what he wanted. He said some QBs never figure it out. I definitely don't think Edwards has figured it out yet.
  8. Shanahan with the Redskins is very likely to take a QB at #4.
  9. Say "No" to Pennington. He can be very accurate but not a strong enough arm. Every time he played in Buffalo during the winter months he had horrible games.
  10. How many years did Gailey sign for?? So much for trying to win now before Ralph passes. Ralph may never see another playoff game for Buffalo.
  11. Yeah, right. Cortez? A guy that wasn't even coaching American football.
  12. If you can make it there you can make it anywhere?? LOL!!!!!
  13. No! No! No!! Dick Jauron is gone. No more early round DBs!!
  14. Yes, when you analyze the offseason moves prior to last season, it makes you wonder what Jauron was thinking considering he was given only one more year to produce a winning season 1. Uses his 1st round pick on a project DE who gives him nothing. 2. He likely had little to do regarding Peters but decides to move Walker from RT to LT then decides that's not going to work in the week before the season and waives him. 3. Decides to start a player with no experience (Bell) in the most important position (LT) on the O-Line. 4. Use 1st & 2nd round picks on rookie O-linemen and eventually annoints them as starters 5. Decides to go with a no-huddle offense, when supposedly you would need veteran O-linemen to be most effective with it. 6. Fires his offensive coordinator in the week prior to the season opener, replacing him with a guy who's never called plays And he was somewhat surprised he was fired????????????????????
  15. Brian Westbrook has been one of the best at running and receiving over the last few years.
  16. Toronto probably wouldn't want this Bills team. It will be interesting to see the attendance for the games this year. I'm wondering if the regular season game will be New England, after the 1st two were against the other AFC East teams.
  17. Interesting. Edwards was on with Colin Cowherd in the morning and they were talking about a list Cowherd came up with on the worst head coaching jobs. Not a surprise that Bills were #2 behind The Raiders.
  18. Sorry Code Monkey. Did a quick scan and ran a search and didn't see anything obvious.
  19. Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News wrote the following: "The Buffalo Bills wanted to make a splash with their next head coaching hire. They wanted a name – a big name. When you fail to qualify for the playoffs a single time in the decade, you need to remind your fans you're serious about winning. So the Bills courted Mike Shanahan. They courted Bill Cowher. Brian Billick, Jon Gruden and Marty Schottenheimer also were rumored to be in the mix. But none of the celebrity coaches wanted any part of the Bills. Not only was Schottenheimer not interested – neither was his son Brian, the offensive coordinator of the Jets. So on Tuesday, the Bills settled on Chan Gailey. The same Chan Gailey who was fired by the Cowboys in 2000 after only two seasons as head coach. The same Chan Gailey who was fired as head coach by Georgia Tech in 2007. The same Chan Gailey who was fired as offensive coordinator by the Kansas City Chiefs on the eve of the 2009 season. Smirk if you will, but Gailey may turn out to be an ideal hire for the Bills. Gailey has spent a large chunk of his career developing young players, having spent nine years as a head coach in college and another two in the World League. That makes him a superb fit in Buffalo, where he inherits a team with the fifth-youngest roster in the NFL. The three teams competing with the Bills in the AFC East all have quarterbacks in place: Tom Brady at New England, Mark Sanchez at the Jets and Chad Henne at the Dolphins. The Bills have an unsettled quarterbacking situation with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Trent Edwards. Until that gets settled, Buffalo will not contend in the East. But Gailey has a history of turning quarterbacks into producers. He presided over NFL offenses that went to the playoffs with Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart and Jay Fiedler taking the snaps. He also turned undrafted Tyler Thigpen into a 2,600-yard passer inside of one season at Kansas City. So go ahead and smirk at the hiring of Gailey. There were smirks when the Bills hired Marv Levy, too."
  20. LOL!! Did he have only one foot on the scale??
  21. Hey, I'm 52 and I don't consider myself old. I still play basketball.
  22. Here are some physical stats from NFL.com: Maybin- 6-4, 250 Schobel- 6-4, 243 (if Maybin is small, what is Schobel?) Kelsay- 6-4, 261 C.Ellis- 6-4, 261 Maybin put on a lot of muscle between the end of his last college season and the Combine. He likely can add some more. Yes, the Bills DEs are on the small side weight-wise compared to the average NFL DE but that's what fit their scheme.
