I read Bills Daily frequently because they have a lot of good information but have always been unimpressed with the writing. It seems like it's written by some school age kid who isn't very good at English (examples: using "there" instead of "their" and many grammar & spelling issues. I get annoyed by posters on this forum that have to make comments about spelling and grammar mistakes about what other posters write but this is just a forum and I chalk up most of them to just typing errors. Plus, I don't consider the errors a big deal and with respect to the content of the posting. However, Bills Daily has been around for a few years now and being a site with a link on TBD, one would expect better quailty. I usually just laugh at some of the errors even though they may be pathetic. I believe they hit a new low today: In their Top Story section, they have "Buffalo" as "Buffalow". Has their actual text inputting been outsourced to another country?? How the heck else can you explain a Bills site that has been around for a while to mispell Buffalo?? LOL!!!

Remember that he finished last season with an injury. He may be a little faster than what he was timed at the Pro Day. He dominated in the MAC in 2008. I think he's put on practice squad but may have an NFL future.

They used to go through the guys that were taken while there was a commercial break. Today it was "Mel, who do you like?" Unfortunately, they supposedly had better ratings for Day 1. I'm on the West Coast so no problem watching the whole thing. ANy of you guys in Buffalo stay up til midnight??

OK A-holes!! As soon as Troup was announced, Kiper says "I had him as a 3rd rounder". The people in charge change but the reaches continue. How have the reaches for Whitner, McCargo & Maybin turned out?? When dozens of draft lists are reasonably close, the Bills continue to take players much earlier than where most think they should be. The results with no playoffs in 10 years are telling. You could take any mock draft from the major sports websites and do a better job drafting than the Bills.

How can you call these solid picks?? Spiller is a great talent but they didn't need to use the 9th pick on a RB. For the next 2 picks, I'll use the NFL.com rating system. Troup was given a 5.3. How can you justify taking him when Cody, with a rating of 8.0, who some had as early as the end of the 1st was still there???? There were 5 other DTs with much better grades taken after Troup. Carrington: how can you take a DE (grade of 7.3) when you need an OT and Campbell with an 8.0 grade is still there. WR is even a bigger need than DE and Dezmon Briscoe, Mike Williams and Mardy Gilyard still havent been taken?

Only 1 of the 3 biggest needs for this team are addressed in 3 rounds. I just can't put a positive spin on it.

So, is it an NFL Rule that NFL teams must run a "pro-style offense"? With all of these QBs putting up gaudy numbers in a college spread offense, why do the NFL teams try to put a square peg in a round hole and attempt to convert the kid to their "pro style offense"? What's stopping them from running a spread offense like Gailey did in KC with Thigpen?? Alex Smith was taken with the #1 pick in 2005 by the Niners after an impressive statistical career at Utah in a spread offense. Their attempts to get him to play in the "pro-style offense" failed and he seemed a bust. It wasn't til this past season when his 4th offensive coordinator in 4 years (which obviously didn't help) put him in a spread offense in which he developed a rapport with Michael Crabtree, another product of a spread offense. The Niners pass offense improved significantly. Sure, Smith still didn't play to a Pro Bowl level but at least he was much more productive.
