  1. Thanks, Jack!! That was a great speech!
  2. I set my DVR to record 3 hours and still didn't get all of Andre's speech. I was on buffalobills.com and saw a video with the length of 26 mins that I thought would be the whole thing but the page refreshed and it was gone.??
  3. That made me just flashback to "just give it to them" in that one New England game.
  4. It's fun watching UB's Mitchell Watt playing for my Golden State Warriors' Summer League team. He's a longshot to make the team but I'm rooting for him. Also on the same team is James McAdoo, Bob McAdoo's distant cousin from North Carolina. He looks good so far.
  5. Rob Chudzinski agrees.
  6. That reminds me. I was walking thru a parking lot the other day and saw a car's license plate that started with MOF0. Got a good chuckle out of that.
  7. 1979- What if the Bills took Joe Montana instead of Jon Borchardt? Would he have had a Hall of Fame career? I say 'No' because Bill Walsh maximized his abilities and the Bills still had Joe Ferguson to start. Would the Bills still have drafted Jim Kelly in 1983? Probably, because I don't think Montana would've been successful in Buffalo and it was time to replace Fergy.
  8. In Jim Rome fashion, your post should've been signed. "JeMarcus Russell"
  9. The abnormally strong rookie seasons of Cam Newton, RG3, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson sure have affected expectations and evaluations for rookie QBs. EJ Manuel's 11 TDs, 9 INTs, 1972 Yards, 58.8% completion percentage, and 77.7 QB Rating in 10 games was not a bad season for a rookie. Take a look at what some of the top NFL veteran QBs did in their rookie seasons or 1st full years as a starter: Peyton Manning: 26 TDs, 28 INTs, 3739, 56.7 Comp %, 71.2 QB Rating Drew Brees (1 game as rookie, 16 in 2nd yr): 17 TDs, 16 INTs, 3284 Yds, 60.8 Comp% , 76.9 QB Rating Tom Brady (1 gm rookie yr, 15 in 2nd): 18 TDs, 12 INTs, 2843 Yds, 63.9 Comp%, 86.5 QB rating Eli Manning (9 gms): 6 TDs, 9 INTs, 1043 Yds, 48.2 Comp%, 55.4 QB Rating
  10. I agree. The new CBA sure caters to the lazy player with so few mandatory practices. I just can't relate to the professional football player sometimes. The team leaders should be on these guys to get their butts in there. Same with holdouts. I think if I was a veteran pro football player and whether it was a team with championship aspirations or a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 14 years, I'd be on a guy to get his butt in there because we needed him to get ready for the season. Football requires too much teamwork and practice repetitions for a guy to holdout and show up just before or after the season starts. I couldn't believe it when Jason Peters was holding out into training camp and nobody had heard from him. Even a few of the veterans at the time voiced the opinion that "that's his deal".
  11. Gary Busey as GM!! LOL!!! After seeing him on the Apprentice and now that commercial for Amazon TV, that motorcycle accident he had while not wearing a helmet appears to have done a lot of damage. He'd likely make a Ricky Williams type trade and give up all of the picks in the draft for a 5th round prospect.
  12. Interesting viewpoint when two NFL teams in the North that have long played in domes (Seattle & Minnesota) have switched (C-Hawks) or are about to switch (Vikes) to open air stadiums.
  13. Regarding Tim Graham tweet: That would be great news! And at what point does Trump change his mind and back out?
  14. If the new owner is Trump, the new team president could be Donald Jr or his other son, Eric.
  15. It would seem strange to be an impact but they haven't taken a TE in the 1st couple rounds since they took the bust Tony Hunter in the 1st round of the1983 draft (Yes, he was the player taken before Jim Kelly!)
  16. And when Sam Wyche was brought in to work one-on-one with JP Losman.
  17. I was '71-75 I can't believe no tight ends. There were only 10 drafted so many others to choose from. How can they settle for the lumbering Chandler, a 7th round pick from 2013, an unkown in Moeaki (unkown that he ever plays like he did) and a blocked in Lee Smith? I guess we also have to include Brandon Kauffman.
  18. There was a Derek Brim that went to my high school, Hutch Tech, back in the 70s. Might have been his dad?
  19. Ugh, these Bills trades. Draft Lynch in the 1st then trade him for a 4th and he becomes a Pro Bowl Super Bowl-winning player. Now, give up a 4th (and possibly a 3rd) for a RB who was drafted in the 7th and will be your 3rd sting? I guess it doesn't matter I he contributes.
  20. And there are no longer any Polians at Indy
  21. Wow, since the draft is so long, and so many players picked, I just thought I missed Skov getting picked. I saw him projected as a 2nd-rounder. Living in Northern California, I watch all of the Stanford games and he was an impact player but I had read he might not have enough speed and quickness for the NFL. This is similar to last year's draft when his teammate Chase Thomas was projected for the 3rd or 4th round but went undrafted. Since he didn't end up making the team that signed him as an undrafted free agent I guess it was justified and may show that excelling in the Stanford system and in the Pac-12 may not always translate to the NFL.
  22. You must've forgotten the big Chris Williams signing. You remember, the guy who graded out one of the worst of the starting guards.
  23. Damn, they still have Gore. They drafted Lattimore last year (health unknown) and now add Hyde?
