  1. Yep, he was at 57.5 % which was a good improvement over the team's 2013 percentage of 40.3%. The lone NFL kickoff specialist should be leading the league or close to it. Carolina's kicker was over 75%.
  2. I think we know which Williams (Chris) you're referring to but there are several of them on this team.
  3. I don't agree. Cassel has 96 career TD passes to 70 INTs. Sanchez, Moore & Locker all have about an equal number of TDs and INTs, which one would call mediocrity.
  4. They would have a good 1st half running the ball and then come out for the 2nd half in a 4 WR spread and it didn't work. Gore would have about 10 carries in the 1st half and none in the 2nd. Most teams with a lead go to the running game.
  5. He's had very good seasons for several teams but he keeps getting replaced and let go. Career numbers: 87 TDs, 60 INTs, 17 lost fumbles, 1204 career rushing yards, 60.3 Comp %, 81.7 QB Rating. Has thrown for over 3,000 yards twice. He was the QB for Cleveland when Josh Gordon was putting up those huge numbers.
  6. Because they're trading a potential Pro Bowl LB for a RB (already a Pro Bowl player) who has already played 6 seasons. He's on borrowed time.
  7. And it's likely to get even worse. In 2 or 3 years, 3 of the elite QBs (P.Manning, Brees & Brady) will probably be retired along with a very good one in Romo. Also, by then, the likes of Eli Manning, Rivers, Rothlisberger, Cutler & Rodgers will be in their mid to late 30s. There currently aren't many replacements lined up. The colleges and NFL teams need to start doing a better job of developing young QBs. To think we're in an age of the NFL game where the rules have made it the easiest to throw the football and we still have this problem.
  8. Brees just turned 36. He hasn't shown any signs of fading, although their offense wasn't as potent as in years past. How about trade the whole 2016 draft for him?!
  9. The second obsession is even worse, that the Bills should trade for one of the elite QBs (or at least an almost elite QB) on other teams, as if the management of those franchises are insane enough to trade Rivers or Brees or Roethlisberger or any of the rest, as if it never occurred to them that their success is built around the QB position. But those other GMs are not morons, so if they did in fact show a willingness to trade one of those types of QBs, you can be assured that they have determined that that player is about squeezed dry and they're going to try to snooker some rube. As what happened when the Bills traded with New England for Bledsoe.
  10. Yuck and more yuck! In a prior post, Leroi said a big splash was coming. I don't consider McCown, Hoyer, Moore, Locker or Sanchez as big splashes. I would consider Cutler as a big splash though. We need to think big.
  11. I didn't believe it since Whaley had come out saying the head coaching candidates had to be open to let Manuel compete for the starting job.
  12. Yeah, I wish somebody could pull up a pre-draft evaluation of Brady.
  13. What about Jermichael Finley? He injured his spinal chord in 2013 and sat out last year. I wonder if he's still looking to play?
  14. NFL Free Agency starts two weeks from tomorrow (March 10th)!!
  15. McCown is just not that good. If you look up 'mediocre' in the football dictionary you'll see his picture.
  16. Hogan is an Exclusive Rights Free Agent. He's not going anywhere.
  17. Ugh! I just flashed back to plays we saw made by both Rob Johnson and Trent Edwards: behind late in the 4th quarter- probably last possession, 4th down, they're rushed out of the pocket and they run out of bounds way short of a 1st down. Game over! Aaarrgghh!
  18. Has anyone else watched this? Pretty cool stuff. That was great! Thanks for sharing.
  19. Tyler Myers is also from Katy, Texas. Once the Sabres' season is over, get him in a Bills jersey! He's obviously big enough at 6'-8".
  20. He's like a politician. Gives a long-winded answer that doesn't really answer the question.
