  1. I like that one. Does anybody remember who Whitey was?
  2. I'm no conspiracy theorist but I'll believe we were on the moon when a telescope can show me the US flag.
  3. What about John Y. Brown? Oh, wait a minute...Never Mind!
  4. He definitely showed some leadership in the Jets game when he got in the middle of a fracas, grabbed the Bills O-Lineman (Mills?) and told him to go back to their side of the field.
  5. Analytics can be used (as obvious as it seemed to us) to review the results of how successful a play was like running CJ Spiller up the middle. The results could say that for the 38 times they ran the play, the average was a 1 yard loss. Despite being obvious to us fans, some of these stubborn egotistical coaches (Saint Doug) might get it if shown the data. Of course, isn't that why the Bills and other teams have quality control people? How you apply Money Ball and analytics to assembling an NFL roster is a different story. Could it be like: 75% of the QBs coming from a college spread system never adjust to the pro-style offense so don't draft one? Or, 99% of the QBs who played for Spurrier at Florida did not make it in the NFL? I'm sure it can get more complicated and useful than these though.
  6. Normally I would agree with you, but when you haven't made the playoffs in 16 years, it's best to start with a more reasonable goal.
  7. Bills again DO NOT use a draft pick on a QB but do use one on a RB.
  8. I'd love it. That's one of my favorite names. He does fit better with the Dawg Pound though. See what I did there...Bark...Dawg Pound.
  9. One of the saddest things I ever saw was when Dick Clark kept doing his Rockin New Years Eve after his stroke. I'm sure he wanted to do it but it was tough to watch and hard to understand him.
  10. Hackenbarf? NFL.com did a team by team analysis of draft needs and possible selections. Brissett was listed as one of the QBs to be considered. Based on Kelly's past, I think he should return to Ole Miss for another year, which means he probably won't.
  11. OK, for comparisons sake, Aaron Rodgers, considered one of the top, if not the top, QBs in the NFL, had 6 games of less than 215 yards and 3 games under 200 yards. He finished with 31 TD passes and only 8 INTs. He did not have a great year by his standards but this was his 8th season as starter. The team had a poor year but may have not made the playoffs without him. I think Tyrod had a similar impact on the Bills season. Time will tell if he can repeat or improve on what he did this season.
  12. I like when Taylor got in the middle of the fracas, grabbed Henderson and told him to go to the huddle.
  13. Other than the sack totals I've never been very impressed with Mario. He doesn't do much else. Too many times he's been handled by a single blocker and does nothing. Most of his sacks have tended to be against a weak OT who he takes advantage of and gets 2 or 3 sacks on. Too many times he is pushed beyond the pocket by the OT and doesn't even provide pressure. I recently looked up Bruce Smith's stats. He would get 100+ tackles a year along with his double digit sacks. Mario has 17 tackles this season. I know it's different eras, teams, systems, etc. but just pointing out that for the size of his contract, Mario is not a complete player.
  14. Having just watched Smokey and the Bandit, all I can say is "somb1tch!"
  15. Yay! I thought for sure we'd get one more game of Spiro and Wilcotts. I believe that's now 18 players on IR. Damn!
  16. The Eagles coverage on ESPN with Mort, Jaws and the gang about to increase.
  17. Yeah, they didn't bother waiting until Black Monday. Who's next?
  18. Yeah, since Wood is 29 and has played 7 seasons already, I think it's time to find his replacement. That goalline stand by Washington was pathetic with McCoy running up the middle. K.Williams was back and you had other bigger backs in Gillislee, Dixon and even Felton to use. McCoy isn't a power back.
  19. Is that as in old FART??!! Well, they had one in Fred Jackson but they cut him. Right now the oldest FARTs are Kyle Williams and Incognito, both are 32.
  20. Not only that, but a loss could inch Rex closer to the door.
