  1. I was surprised that the Bills had no interest at all in Foles. If Taylor misses time, we know EJ could be a nightmare and Cardale is too green.
  2. I agree. A new strategy may be kickoff placement. If there are 2 returners and the better one is lined up on one side, kick it to the other side. Of course, return teams could counter that by having both returners in the middle and then they split out after the ball's in the air. Keeping a 2nd kicker for kick offs was not an effective strategy last season as Gay had touch backs on just over half of his kickoffs which put him in the lower half of the league. Ironically, for the kickoffs returned the Bills led the league in lowest return average allowed.
  3. There was a similar play when he was with the Raiders.
  4. Didn't take the Ravens long to figure out he was bad.
  5. Yep, #10 were the 70s Raiders who won one. Top 3 were Lombardi's Packers, 70s Steelers and 80s Niners. Living in Northern California I've grown to hate the Niners but their success over 2 decades should be #1 to me.
  6. I was just watching an NFL Network Top 10 show of Dynasties. The 90's Bills were #8!! I decided to record it, thinking that they might get an honorable mention so I was surprised with their ranking. Half of the commenters didn't think they deserved to be on the list since they didn't win a Super Bowl. They did dominate the AFC.
  7. That was so funny as you never expected a referee to say that. A more recent one: "we're going to be fully pregnant." - Rex Also the one I hated: "They didn't show the replay on the board." Rex's answer for why he didn't challenge a call in KC.
  8. I don't like him. He's a big mouth goofball. I'll never get past that as an NFL head coach with 6 years experience, he didn't have a replay system in place. Responding to questions why he didn't challenge a call in the KC game with "because they didn't show it on the screen" was ridiculous and embarrassing.
  9. Yeah, you'd think 16 straight years out of the playoffs would drive someone to drink.
  10. Seeing the highlights of that game Rambo had vs the Jets, I still don't understand why he wasn't brought back, or why no other team has picked him up.
  11. Now it'll be a "let's sign Freddy Jackson" thread
  12. I say pass interference but in a different way than most of you. I don't like the rule where a receiver can't be touched after 5 yards. The NFL is a man's game. Let them fight for position. You can still call PI on the blatant holds or shoves but let the players fight for the ball. I know the current rules allow for easier passing and more scoring which is exciting but I liked the good old days when DBs like Mel Blount could use their size and strength to battle a receiver for the ball in man-on-man coverage.
  13. Those are pretty bold. About the only one I see being met is for Charles Clay. I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I think McCoy's best days have passed and he's starting to break down. I would say what you have for K. Williams are more realistic for Shady. Plus, regarding Karlos, the way he runs, another concussion seems inevitable. I would not be surprised if Jonathan Williams leads this team in rushing in 2016.
  14. How can Manny Lawson be considered a cut when Rex said he was their best LB last season?
  15. That one juror said "It was time to go home." I strongly believe the US should have professional jurors like they do in countries like Japan and France
  16. There were so many OJ documentaries around the same time that I forgot where I saw what but his agent came right out and said OJ told him he did it. There were many new things I learned. I didn't recall the part where the Goldman's got the rights to the book and released it but the word "If" was in very small font. I saw another documentary "How Robert Kardashian helped OJ go free". When OJ returned from Chicago, he had two bags, a carry-on and a garment bag. They showed that the garment bag was set down and Kardashian stood near it talking to OJ's publicist, with a female cop standing nearby. The cops grabbed OJ's carry on and they went inside then brought OJ back out to take him downtown. All this time Kardashian stood by the bag like it was his. When they drove off with OJ the others cops dispersed and Kardashian just picked up the bag and walked to a car with the publicist and they drove off. A news crew was looking at tapes and noticed all of this a few weeks later. They showed Kardashian walking into the court building with a different bag with OJs suit for trial and the media was asking where the bag was and he responded with "this is the only bag I have". Eventually someone brought in a garment bag that looked like the one that disappeared and the cops commented that it looked brand new. We'll never know what was in that garment bag.
  17. Dez Lewis as #2 WR when Sammy Watkins isn't ready at the start of the regular season.
  18. At least they no longer have 2 teams named Roughriders in a 9 team league.
  19. Yes, I was at that game in the pouring rain I remember game with Mularkey where the Bills had a nice late drive inside the 10 and he also got cute and had Travis Henry, who had never thrown an NFL halfback pass, throw it into the end zone and it was intercepted.
  20. Sorry to take the sail out of your winds but it was Hank Bullough
  21. Honorable mention: 1. Bills/Jets- needing only to run out the clock, Losman goes back scrambling and fumbles and the Jets take it for the winning score. 2. Bills/New Eng- Pats obviously short of 1st down on 4th down but ref heard saying "just give it to them" and Pats go on to score winning TD 3. Bills/Dolphins in 1970's with OJ- exciting high scoring game- Mercury Morris is picked up and thrown down and fumbles. Pre-instant replay, refs still get together and discuss it but decide it's not a fumble. Shocked and angry Bills defense allow Fins RB to go about 50 yards untouched for a TD. Game over. 4. Bills/Jags- Jags score on TD pass on last play after on prior 4th down play, all Nate Clements had to do was knock the pass down but went for the INT and missed resulting in a big 1st down reception Unfortunately I think I could've gone on for a few more
  22. Yes, that has to be it, giving up 2 TDs in the last 2 mins of a game it looked they had in the books.
