  1. Gillislee averaged 7 yards a carry vs Tierod's 4.8 per attempt. Sticking with the ground game would've also kept the Pats offense off the field.
  2. IIRC, we saw the same approach with different coaches and GMs with Losman and Edwards. This is a big boys' game. If a QB can't handle having competition for his job, he's too mentally weak to be a QB in the NFL!
  3. Hmm, I wonder if there was a secret deal with the Chiefs, who put Charles on IR? Of course if Davis goes back to waivers, there's like 20+ teams that would have priority over KC.
  4. Are you kidding me? This is November 1st and not April 1st. Harvin is a head case. Is he in shape? How long before he'd be ready to play? Or before he changes his mind again? Or gets hurt again? I thought we had finally moved forward from him? They really must have little faith in Dez Lewis.
  5. Because they think they're so smart. Brady had one of the worst 40 times in the history of the draft combine. As with other positions, if the film shows you that they can/can't play, being a combine star shouldn't change the evaluation. Also, if a player shows they can make plays, who cares if he's a couple inches shorter than the prototypical size. I also wonder about what questions they ask in the combine interviews? How personal workouts are conducted? Most of the film clips I've seen have QBs in shorts throwing to WRs in shorts with no defenders. Wouldn't you want to have DBs and pass rushers in these workouts?
  6. If anyone's going to next week's game in Seattle, don't forget to pack "one"
  7. And the receivers then rarely get yards after the catch. I hope the scouts (college & pro) are out there looking at QBs.
  8. Cuz he a dumb MF! He served his purpose on the scout team as a pseudo Edelman.
  9. What are you talking about? They brought in 4 veteran receivers (G. Little, Salas, Boykin & Hankerson), all of which had experience starting on other teams. Of those, they decided to keep Salas and then he got injured. Other than Hankerson's drops in preseason, We don't know what was behind the decision not to keep any others. It wasn't like they didn't bring in anyone, or just undrafted free agents. Powell impressed in training camp and preseason so they decided to keep him.
  10. Seems more like an Edelman/Welker type. Eddie "The Eagle" Eagan?
  11. But, wait, don't the Jags still have Saint Doug?
  12. Ok, crazy. When you're offensive philosophy is "ground and pound" with your QB attempting less than 30 passes per game, WR blocking is important.
  13. That was bad but it made me laugh! Lauren is cute while Giselle is beautiful.
  14. So, do the Bills fire another coach from the offense?
  15. On broadcast they said he's had 2 4th Quarter comebacks.
  16. Cal's Davis Webb or wait another year for Washington's Browning. As the Dolphins started that drive at the 2 yard line I said "Please don't give up a 98 yard run". The 50 yarder was almost as bad.
  17. I watched Inside the NFL this week and when they discussed the Bills, with all pretty much saying that they are the 3rd or 4th best team in the AFC, Phil Simms made a valid point that everybody is talking about how well the Bills' defense is playing, but the QBs that started against them the last 3 weeks were Case Keenum, Jacoby Brissett and Colin Kaepernick. Simms stated the obvious that the real test will be in Week 8 v\s Brady. Also, let us not forget that the now benched Ryan Fitzpatrick torched the Bills secondary in Week 2.
  18. Yeah, really! Are they not teaching reading comprehension in schools anymore?
  19. Rex said that player was released and the only player released around that time was Chris Martin.
  20. Yes, blitz pickup is a huge key. Look at the NY Giants the last couple of weeks. Rashad Jennings is their best pass blocking back and he's been out the last 3 games. Eli Manning's production has suffered greatly.
  21. Watching highlights of yesterday's games, Jeffrey seems frustrated with Hoyer at QB. They showed one play where he was wide open in the end zone but Hoyer threw underneath. Jeffrey lost it afterward, including a helmet smash.
  22. Yes it was but the Bills win made it tolerable.
  23. I wonder if they saw film and we're watching for the fake. I noticed on the Rams last FG, right in front of me, that both the Bills outside rushers stopped and then moved away to watch the flanks.
