  1. So, if it was Frank, would we call him the 2nd Reich for it being his 2nd stint with the Bills or would he still be the 1st Reich? Definitely not the 3rd.
  2. I hadn't seen this either. What an idiot! "No, that's not the word."
  3. I would get excited if Barbarian gets his wish and the Bills draft Jake Butt. I can hear the calls now: "Pass is complete to Butt." " Butt is wide open". "What a catch by Butt!" and of course "Butt fumbles" to which the fans yell out. "Sanchez!!" But more cow bell!
  4. Watch out, the Grammar Police are lurking!
  5. My personal favorite EJ blunder was a play where he rolled out and Clay was running parallel with him about 5 yards away with no visible defender and EJ pumped twice and then threw it into the ground. That has been replaced by that horrendous throw to Clay wide open in the end zone vs the Jets. I have definitely seen enough.
  6. Arizona goalie or former Atlanta coach? I'd go with Anthony Lynn.
  7. No, the Bills will make their usual moves that let talent go and then use available assets, like 10th pick in draft, to replace those players. That's why they never improve enough to make the playoffs. Gilmore will leave and then an early round pick or free agent money used for replacement. Woods will leave an already weak WR corps and then draft pick and free agent money to replace him without likely improving the unit. The Bills won't exercise the option on Tyrod so he will leave and they will scramble with a trade of a draft pick and signing of a mediocre journeyman and the QB play in 2017 will be worse, etc.
  8. In case some don't know, Saban is 65 years old. If Coughlin is getting too old at 70, why isn't Saban, only 5 years younger? Since nobody knows what drives Saban, we don't even know if he wants to coach in the NFL again. He currently has won 5 college football championships with #6 likely on Monday. That would tie him with Bear Bryant. Saban may have more motivation to get that 7th title and be the best.
  9. What do Sullivan and anyone not directly involved with college or NFL football really know about being an NFL head coach?
  10. The only Buffalo Bills championships are with a Saban as coach so why not?
  11. Great post! I watched the Niners' owner press conference after he fired the GM & coach. He said he wants 2 guys (coach & GM) to work together and doesn't care what the org structure is. He hinted that they had a GM doing one thing and head coach wanting something else. Apparently Harbaugh and the GM didn't get along and the owner sided with the GM. Now that it happened again, he canned the GM even before canning Kelly as coach. This is what the Bills should do. Having a Yes man as GM and him expecting to have a Yes man as head coach will not provide the Bills with the best head coaching candidates, as many of you have mentioned.
  12. I do, too!! Being an ex-player he just looks, acts and talks like a prototypical head coach.
  13. But, unfortunately, Brady thinks he can play for 5 more years.
  14. I've liked what I've seen of Western Michigan's Corey Davis.
  15. A Godwin added to a Goodwin? That's a unique approach to the team getting more "win"s
  16. Somebody who the "experts" and mock drafts have rated as late 1st round.
  17. And this model of GM & coach both reporting to the owner had become a new and popular one. No data as to how effective it is. Seems that New England GM works for Belechick and that works great. Also depends on the people involved. SF Niners had GM Baalke in charge but he was supposedly fired on Saturday and Jed York gave Chip Kelly the opportunity to plead his case for staying on. He failed and York then fired Kelly.
  18. It has been frequently reported in the past that Terry Pegula does not feel comfortable talking to reporters. All he had to do is watch one of these with the Buffalo media to decide he wanted no part of that. I don't blame him. I think Bills fans will remember that one for years.
  19. I haven't watched many of these press conferences but have watched this week. This Buffalo media is brutal and idiotic. After the question has been asked and answered a couple times, do they really think they're going to get a different answer the 5th or 6th time?? I wonder what Whaley and others do after one of these. A couple of shots at least I would guess. After Rex's last one I wouldn't be surprised if he partly asked to be fired to not have to deal with another Buffalo press conference.
  20. The luster of Hughes is wearing off. Now I wonder if he was good his 1st 2 years with the Bills because of his line mates. He's frequently out of position on runs. The Jets were running his way.
  21. They had 12 on one play and a DB tried to run off but the Bills called a timeout anyways.
