  1. So since Pittsburgh won today, Jacksonville has no shot at a bye so they could rest players in their matchup vs Tennessee. Bummer. Would Cincinnati have motivation to knock their division rival Baltimore out of the playoffs?
  2. Scheme and play calling that effectively use the strengths of the players, putting them in the best situations to be successful (I.e.you don't run C J Spiller up the middle or Tolbert to the outside. When you have a 3rd and one, you don't have an empty backfield, telling the defense you're passing with no option and then throw a pass 20 yards down the sideline.
  3. I find it funny when people talk about well conditioned 20 something professional athletes being worn down.
  4. So why would they do that for broadcasting purposes? That leaves crappy matchups in the 1:00 games where only fans of those teams will watch while all the good matchups are in the later games. I was looking forward to watching the Bills in the early game and then root for the Raiders vs the Chargers in the later game.
  5. Again, look at the Niners as the prime example of what impact a good QB can have. They started out 0-9, with 5 of those losses by 3 points or less but have now won 5 of 6 with Garappalo, with the last 2 over Tennessee and Jacksonville.
  6. Watching Bills/Pats games fits the definition of insanity. We watch again and again, hoping for different results but, except for a couple games, results are the same. The whole CBS studio crew said it should've stayed as a TD called on the field. Some said replays verified it. Others said there wasn't enough to overturn it.
  7. I think that's only if you're right-handed.
  8. I don't know that Smith is that much better than Tyrod. Don't forget the Niners replaced him with Kap and now the Chiefs drafted Mahomes to replace him.
  9. To quote him “Oh my!”
  10. I’ve dealt with this for 30+ years living in California. Many people when I say I was from Buffalo comment on it being cold, even those from other countries. It just has more publicity as being a cold place than places like Minnesota that are actually colder. Yeah, what does a kicker know about football?
  11. $100K isn’t much of a fine for a team. It will be interesting to see what they give Houston for letting Savage back on the field
  12. He convinced Bills management he needed a better QB and got one in Orton so once Kyle quit, they probably would've got him another. The Clown Show that followed was also able to push for players he wanted, like Tyrod, but he was too defensive-minded. I like the Coach/GM tandem we have now and would like to see how they do with a couple more off seasons.
  13. Kind of like Phil Jackson's championship success with teams with Jordan & Pippen and Shaq & Kobe. He never built a team. Then with the Knicks in a different role as GM he was not successful and started doing and saying crazy things to get himself fired.
  14. Ha ha! Won't you be surprised when the Pats trade up with someone like the Browns and get one of these top college QBs. Maybe for the 1st pick to get Arnold or Rosen?
  15. Well, the Broncos signed Jonathan Williams to their practice squad but eventually releases him. He then signed with the Saints, which seems strange considering their RB depth.
  16. Hopefully ‘Coach’ watched the tape of the Pitts/NewEng game with Romo’s commentary, where he pointed out what many know that you can’t play zone vs Brady as he’ll tear it up. When Pitts played man-to-man, they did better, although just about no team has anybody to play man vs Gronkowski. Gotta come up with a great different game plan and not just what you’ve been doing. Mix it up. Show them something they haven’t seen on film.
  17. Would also explain his sideline tirade directed at McDaniels. Healthy diet my butt!
  18. Yes, it’s about QB play and opportunity. He became the #1 WR when Garçon got hurt and now has Garrapolo throwing to him. His stats have improved dramatically in the last month. He has 28 receptions for about 400 yds in the last 4 games.
  19. If they (TT and Rico) consistently produced performances like Sunday's first half, it would be worth giving them more time. Unfortunately we've seen too many like the 2nd half with little reason to believe it would improve.
  20. Did you just create this new ID? That's hilarious. We can come up with more. Depew Dewey, Kenmore Ken, Cheektowaga Chuck, Hamburg Harry...
  21. I'm trying to think positively but there's no way the Pats and the NFL let the Bills win in Foxboro.
  22. I was thinking the same thing, like it's a trend, but if these announcements mean they're filing retirement papers, then it makes sense. Ray Allen officially retiring after not playing for 3 seasons was pretty funny. Ricky Watters and Latrell Sprewell both passed on the last contract offers they had because they were insulted and never played again. Have they officially announced their retirements?
  23. Huh? The Colts had 163 yards rushing last week.
  24. Depends how he feels. It was a question about him playing this season, which was likely mainly due to the coaching change. If he believes in "the process" he could return. Regarding Kyle, others may have more insight but the times I've seen clips of post game locker room speeches, and pre-game rallies, McD and his teammate's look to Kyle as the leader. That can be hard to replace.
  25. But that's the Bills way. Let Gilmore go, use a #1 pick on his replacement T. White. Let Woods and Goodwin leave, use the 2nd round pick on a WR.
