  1. Yes, I believe Kamar Aiken was a training camp and preseason star in 2011 who was on the team but hardly played.
  2. This still amazes me. I've seem all of these reports of all these "QB gurus" that are former NFL and college QBs holding these camps and the NFL is always struggling to have enough solid starting QBs. Todd Marijuanavich's dad started coaching him as a toddler and he turned into a good college QB who was drafted by the NFL but didn't pan out, mainly because he got into drugs after dealing with his dad but the really good QBs are few and far between. I'd have to say, as compared to tough positions in other sports (pitcher and catcher in baseball, goalie in hockey, point guard in basketball) having 300# guys trying to kill you has a big impact (David Carr, Jim Everett, etc.). Reading defenses, making the right and accurate throw while thinking about the defense coming after you seems to be a difficult task indeed.
  3. I listened to the John Murphy interview with Greg Cosell. Cosell said Tyrod has reached his max and he also thinks Watson won't get any better. He also pointed out that Trubisky plays with a stiff front leg, like Alex Smith, which affects a player being able to have the needed power behind intermediate and deep throws. He's not sure that it's something that can be coached out of a player. Without an answer to "if not Tyrod then who?", Cosell's opinion is that he wouldn't take Taylor's option.
  4. Let me add a #6: learn the difference among their, there and they're
  5. Later in draft gets you the likes of Roscoe Parrish, TJ Graham & Dez Lewis.
  6. I remember when Gailey took over and Edwards was the starter and played horribly. They not only benched Trent, they cut him because Chan didn't want to ever have to put him in a game again. Lol!
  7. Strong performances in back-to-back championship games vs the Alabama defense, highlighted by the last second TD pass this year make a very impressive resume.
  8. Supply and demand for the most important position on a team drives up the price.
  9. "You want me to just sit around for a few hours talking football with other guys and you'll pay me what?"
  10. ESPN's Highly Questionable with Dan Le Batard, his Dad and Bomani Jones. Hands down!
  11. A mid-round pick? If that's all they could get, it's a dumb move. The Bills would likely use it to draft someone too early (TJ Graham) or waste it on someone with off-the-field issues (S.Henderson)
  12. For what it's worth, heard Bill Polian earlier on ESPNs Mike &Mike and he doesn't think any of the QBs in this year's draft are close to being ready to play in the NFL
  13. Yeah, the Niners were just in SB 47 and the NFC championship the year after that and their fans have already started jumping off the bandwagon after 2 down years.
  14. Yeah, that 2011 draft was amazing how those teams panicked and drafted those guys so high, especially Ponder at 12. The Bengals and Niners waited and picked Dalton & Kap in the 2nd round, both of which have had better careers than those three. And the Bills have a guy taken in the 6th round of that draft.
  15. Sounds like there will be regression in RG3's play.
  16. Perhaps their approach was that they were being aggressive by still attacking and not being conservative and playing for the FG. Yes, it backfired but there's likely a better reason than vanity.
  17. Yep, we had Shanahan's missing backpack and the drone flying over the Falcons practice.
