  1. There have also been many plays this season where the pressure has forced the QB to just throw it away. "Ex-stream"? Is that when a seasonal creek dries up in the summer? It becomes an "ex-stream"?
  2. With the current state of O-Line play in the NFL, I'd actually think more of getting like a 5th for Seantrel Henderson. Then you still have Glenn, Dawkins & Mills. I hope they don't trade Glenn. Of course, it may depend on what the medical staff thinks of the future with his feet.
  3. I thought that was going to cost the game as I, and probably most of you, didn't think the Bills could get a tying TD.
  4. There have actually been a couple of good Thursday games this year (SF/Rams and Oakland/KC). Prior to this, most of them have been one-sided with the home team usually winning. It just showed there isn't enough time for a road team to prepare and travel.
  5. The Bills started a trend back to ground-and-pound to win games?
  6. And it goes back to that "tuck rule" game for the Pats vs the Raiders. Nobody had heard of that rule and the ref comes up with it for that crucial play?
  7. I agree on Zay. Fans and media got on Zay after the game ending play vs Carolina and a missed connection on a diving attempt the following game, both of which had a high degree of difficulty. Then there was the " miss" that resulted in the Andre Holmes TD. That ball was humming and Zay had just turned his head. If people want to see drops, watch, for example, watch a Raiders game and Amari Cooper. His drops gave been brutal. A couple games ago, a 5 yard pass was thrown accurately right to his hands at eye level. The ball went right thru his hands, bounced off his helmet and was almost intercepted. Zay has not had any "drops" like that. In the great Jerry Rice's rookie year, he had a bunch of major drops, including several when he was 10 yards beyond the defense and the ball was laid right into his hands. Let's give Zay a break!
  8. 30 years ago on Halloween the Bills pulled off the Cornelius Bennett deal, which some said was the last piece in creating those great Super Bowl teams. Get 'er done, Beane!! Baldwin and Jimmy Graham?
  9. But the Rams are scoring 30 points per game with Sammy as a decoy
  10. Since when is Leslie Frazier Scottish? You could add, though, QB coach Culley and WR coach McGeoghan.
  11. I saw this question submitted to an on-line Q&A and the answer was 'that it made it fairer for a game if one team had more injured players'. I think that's somewhat of a lame answer. For football, injuries are expected. The concussion protocol now makes it even more likely players will miss games. I think it would help all teams a lot to add at least 5 more players to their rosters and have all available for a game. Look at the Bills right now. With the 53 man limit, they chose to keep 4 CBs and 4 safeties. With just about all teams running 4 and even 5 receiver sets at times, you need those 4 CBs all active. Still, if one or more goes out with injury, you're screwed. Gaines got injured so the Bills had to activate Mabin and drop a player at another position. The NY Giants on Sunday had 4 WRs go out with injury, which of course is rare. They were forced to play multiple TEs and split out RBs. They probably would've lost the game anyways but those injuries made a win more difficult.
  12. Same as the guy who inherited a Top 5 defense playing the 4-3 and ruined it by changing it to his favorite 3-4 with linemen going back into coverage. Ego, stubbornness, inflexible, etc.
  13. Yeah, we seem to forget Webb is supposed to also be a WR. Career 8 receptions for 61 yards.
  14. Orton should be on the 'Wall of Shame' for that infamous slide short of the first down and for the way he left.
  15. And after Tampa plays the Pats this week, their scoring defense should be even lower.
  16. Also, while we all have to be happy with the TreDavious White pick, the 1st round pick we got from Kansas City may be very late in the round. The 182 yards are not significant being against Atlanta. The Falcons did not make it to the Super Bowl because of their defense. They won many close high-scoring games last season.
  17. I also think that if Tate isn't going to be active to return kicks and since he's never shown much as a receiver, why not replace him with a reliable receiver.
  18. Yep, my guess is Corey "Philly" Brown
  19. Here in Northern California, the Oakland A's had a catcher names Stephen Vogt, who was a big fan favorite. In one section of the stadium, this group of fans would chant when he came to bat "I believe in Stephen Vogt!!" They even had T-shirts made with the chant on it. I think it may be time for "I believe in Sean McDermott!!"
  20. The odds seem to favor Cousins joining Shanahan in SF but you never know. Many of us expected Marrone to influence drafting Nassib and it didn't happen.
