  1. How about scoring not only one, but two offensive touchdowns?
  2. Same here. Some people are collectors though. I was talking to a friend who is a collector about the recent trend of crossover jerseys and bobble heads. I think they’re weird but as a collector he likes them. A recent bobble head here in the BayArea is Kevin Durant in a San Jose Sharks jersey holding a hockey stick. There have also been Warriors jerseys in the colors of the A’s and the Sharks and vice versa. I wouldn’t buy one but people do.
  3. I worked for a large company and they had a central training department made up of people who were good at teaching. They would try to learn the subject material before teaching the class. To me, that’s fine when you’re talking about general subjects like Ethics, Security, Safety but not when the classes are technical. In many instances where a question was asked, they didn’t know the answer. The really good instructors would try to find the answer say during a break in the class or ask for your email and get back to you. Others would just say “I don’t know”. There were other instances where, for say a new version of a software package, some of us in the class knew more than the instructor. So, having a teacher teach something that they are not subject experts on doesn’t always work. Now, with football coaches, someone who has been coaching for 25 years should’ve picked up enough football to be able to coach/teach most positions. It still depends on the person. Someone who thinks he’s a know-it-all may not be willing to consult someone who may know more than him. I think coaching of QBs is specialized. I’m not sure that someone who is a general football coach that never played the position can help a young QB as much as someone who has played the position.
  4. I think I’d put more stock in an ex-NFL QB (or even college QB) who can teach what he knows.
  5. Woob-woob-woob!
  6. Randall Cobb is similar to Tate and could likely be signed for less. Plus Tate has a poor teammate reputation from Seattle. I like Tyrell Williams and don’t understand the Chargers use of him. When K.Allen was out, Tyrell looked very good.
  7. I’m surprised we haven’t seen a “Bring back Reilly” response yet
  8. As the old Fantasy Island commercials put it:. "Fun?! Wow!"
  9. So does this mean they won’t bring Pryor back?
  10. I feel the same as you. I let the horrible end to the Houston game get to me and also wondered why I continue to put myself thru that. This week, the game was so pathetic that my disgust went away and I watched the exciting end of some other early games, the Warriors and the exciting Kansas City game and the Bills loss didn't bug me as much. I find myself on the fence though as to whether I want to watch next Monday's game. It has the potential to be real ugly. You know, McDermott has shown the ability to rally the troops following bad games (and the three in a row last season) that I found myself somewhat "trusting the process". However, after yesterday's game and the Patriots upcoming, I'm leaning the other way. Hopefully, with all the home games in the 2nd half of the season, maybe they can win a few and renew some promise for next year.
  11. Same with Mularkey. Although we may not know what happened in Tennessee, it was odd though that he was fired after taking the Titans to the playoffs.
  12. I'm concerned about the rebuild being based on high priced free agents. That rarely works.
  13. Currently the Raiders have no place to play in 2019. Some in Oakland/Alameda County don't want to sign them to play there anymore. They may be playing at a community college like the Chargers next season.
  14. So, now when the Raiders' passing game stinks, Gruden can say "We need some guys who can get open and catch a pass."
  15. Cue a "new" topic about the Bills passing on Aaron Rodgers just because in the previous draft they traded up for Losman.
  16. The Vikings players and coaches looked at film of the Bills first two games, laughed and started preparing for their game vs the Rams the following Thursday
  17. Well, as a Bills player Goodwin was injury prone and was not 100% committed to football as track seemed to be his priority. He now has put track behind him and has developed into a decent receiver.
  18. Had Bledsoe not got injured, I wonder when or if Brady would’ve been given a chance.
  19. The 2019 free agent class looks mediocre, although led by Golden Tate and Randall Cobb. There's also Funchess, Terrell Pryor (again) and Enumwa. I think Tate or Cobb would immediately be the Bills #1 receiver while the others, meh.
  20. You have a better, well thought out idea. Since the Raiders also need a pass rush, maybe they'll also take Shaq Lawson. I can't believe Gruden's idea of a rebuild includes getting rid of a 27 year old QB, a 27 year old pass rushing demon (Mack) and a 24 year old WR (Cooper), all Pro Bowl talents.
  21. I hate autocorrect. I think the people that code that are just screwing with us. "Look, if they type in 'form', it autocorrects to 'fart'. Giggle, giggle."
  22. Yeah, but based on what? Don't lower yourself to the level of the morons on here who say things like "Zay Jones is the worst WR ever." , "McDermott is the worst coach ever" without data to back it up.
  23. Obviously many people associated with the NFL, ( i.e. Players, coaches, etc.) don't agree with you as Carr has played in the last 3 Pro Bowls. Here are his NFL Stats thru last season. How are these overrated? NFL STATS Year Team Games Passing Rushing G GS Comp Att Pct Yards Avg TD Int Rate Att Yds Avg TD 2014 OAK 16 16 348 599 58.1 3,270 5.5 21 12 76.6 29 92 3.2 0 2015 OAK 16 16 350 573 61.1 3,987 7.0 32 13 91.1 33 138 4.2 0 2016 OAK 15 15 357 560 63.8 3,937 7.0 28 6 96.7 39 70 1.8 0 2017 OAK 15 15 323 515 62.7 3,496 6.8 22 13 86.4 23 66 2.9 0 Career 62 62 1,378 2,247 61.3 14,690
  24. I'd give them a 1st and 2nd for Carr and Amari Cooper. Reap the benefits of a fire sale when you can. Carr has regressed somewhat into a checkdown guy and Cooper had the dropsies last season but you can't ignore the talent. One other issue I read about Cooper is that, despite his size, he struggles vs tight coverage on the outside. Solution is to put him in motion or in the slot. They would greatly improve the Bills pass offense.
  25. Yes, Gailey was the only coach (he was also the OC, even though Mankins had the title) in recent memory who got the most out of his offensive players.
