  1. Well it might not be their choice if Daboll continues his recent career trend of being a nomad.
  2. It seemed the defensive players were trying at times, more so in the 1st half. As the OP mentioned, there was actually a goalline stand by the AFC defense. Then, in the 2nd half, and especially the 4th quarter, they'd just touch a guy and he'd stop. Near the end it got really ridiculous as the refs blew the whistle a few times when the ball carrier wasn't even touched. What was up with that? Still, with the way offenses have been, I expected a high scoring game but the NFC had to score late to avoid being shutout. I think the players might actually try harder if they played flag football.
  3. Meh. The defensive players playing on offense was a little fun but I think it even made more of a mockery of the game. In the NHL All Star game, do the goalies move up and play on a wing? No. Do forwards put on pads and take a turn in goal? No In the Baseball All Star game does a pitcher go out and play shortstop? No
  4. Remember the 2011 draft when Locker, Gabbert and Ponder all taken in the Top 12, all taken too high.
  5. Remember the old line “those that can’t play; coach”.
  6. Tony Greene was a good “centerfielder”.
  7. Yeah, remember when the NHL instituted the delayed replay on Offside. There would be a close Offside not called, the offensive team had the puck in the zone for about a minute before scoring and then the ppposing coach challenged the Offside to wipe out the goal. That was a ridiculous nightmare.
  8. That was a judgement call. It was just poor judgement. From the replays, I don’t know what the refs were looking at.
  9. What’s Tyree Jackson doing at the Senior Bowl? I thought he was looking to transfer to Auburn? Redshirt Juniors are eligible? There are times when people shouldn’t be posting. I think we found his.
  10. Hey, people in India and other countries love cricket and their matches can last days
  11. Probably the same teams that offered Gregg Williams the head coaching job.
  12. I worked for a company that built a basketball court on campus and leagues were being organized. They never happened though due to insurance issues.
  13. And what would prevent them from drafting, trading for or signing another good TE?
  14. Eifert is very talented when he's healthy but he seems to always be injured. He could be signed to a very reasonable deal but would be more risky than the signing of Trent Murphy, and we know how that turned out. I'd go for a Jared Cook for a couple of years while a young TE is being groomed.
  15. Well, players who have played for the Patriots say there is little fun there. Maybe an improving team that has fun will not be that tough of a sell.
  16. Foggetaboutit!! You want people to say good things about the Pats on a Bills board?! Get outta here!!
  17. I found myself cheering just as much (if not more) after that late KC INT (list by penalty) than any big Bills play this past season. I hate that damn Patriots team more than anything.
  18. Here’s my silver lining, and maybe wishful thinking. Since Josh McDaniels backed out of the Indy job and turned down interviews so far this year, has he possibly been promised that this is Belecheat’s last year and he’ll take over? If BB wants to go out a champion, I’d be more accepting of a Pats win if it meant he would be gone. Same with Brady, although he has continuously said he wants to play a few more years.
  19. Aaaarrgghh, I couldn’t let it go! It’s would’ve, could’ve, should’ve!! You should’ve stayed awake in English class so you would’ve known this!!
  20. The other day I read an article about what teams the ticket brokers and travel package agents would want in the Super Bowl. They got neither team. Their theory, backed by comments from brokers, for the AFC team was that the Patriots have been to the Super Bowl so many times that diehard fans have probably attended some and may not be as interested whereas the Chiefs haven’t been in 50 years. For the NFC, they felt the Saints fans would be willing to even drive to Atlanta while the less interested Rams fans might be less willing to have to fly cross-country.
  21. Yes, as a bare minimum both teams need to have a possession. Do we think a defensive touchdown on the first possession still ends the game? It kind of doesn't make sense that the team winning the coin toss and taking the ball first could screw up so badly and still get another chance.
  22. I'd say the college football OT structure with some tweaks. Starting at the opponents 25 is pretty easy. Unless a team totally screws up with losing yards thru plays or penalties, they're likely to get a makeable FG try. NFL kickers are much better than the average college kicker so it's pretty much a makeable three points. Of course, the opponent next starting at the 25 can quickly score a TD and win the game. For the NFL, maybe they could start at midfield or their own 40. So, they may have to gain 20 to 30 yards to get a legit FG try. In today's NFL, with an above average QB, that may also seem easy but more difficult than starting at the opponent's 25.
  23. And now you don’t have to do anything if the ball goes into the end zone. Did Lynn recommend that rule change?
  24. Is Will Grier downgraded for being a Big 12 QB? He put up some good numbers.
