What was your opinion when the Bills redid McCoy's contract? I didn't like it at the time but fortunately it worked out. His contract goes thru the 2019 season so hopefully he doesn't have a sharp decline. He seems to be a decent value at just under $9M for this season.

Then, in the late 90s, when one of the BCS’s excuses for not having a playoff was the extra games for the student athletes, they increased to 12. Add the conference playoffs, bowl games and the playoffs and it’s even more. For the 2017 season, Georgia played in the SEC championship and got to the national championship game ended up playing 15 games while Alabama played 14.

These are also the reasons why I think they should have a 3rd QB. If you think Allen isn't ready, what if Peterman gets injured early in a game and Allen has to be put in the game? If he has a game like Peterman had vs the Chargers, you take the risk of killing his confidence and then he'll also have the media and fan scrutiny that Peterman faced. With McCarron gone to Oakland, you then have to bring in another QB who doesn't know the system and playbook so you may have to continue to play Allen, who you previously decided wasn't ready, until the new QB is up to speed.

Well, there's a couple of ways of looking at it (same with Coleman): 1. It doesn't hurt to kick the tires on a previously highly regarded prospect 2. Do they think these players may have been poorly coached up and they can do better? It happens in the NBA all the time.

Yeah, it doesn't seem that long ago that Moorman became the first punter to have a net average of 40.0+ yards. The bar is much higher now. The top punters are now approaching averages of 50 yards per punt with net averages around 45 yards. Schmidt's numbers were more in line with Moorman's numbers in the past.
