  1. Just saw them this year on their final tour. They were awesome.
  2. I see my memory was faulty. They didn't get into FG range until that 18-19 sec mark. I apologize to Marv. I do see what you mean about the block, especially considering that defender made the tackle. You can't tell from the video but apparently the Giants were blanketing the Bills receivers, forcing Kelly to run, which ate up more clock. How about the refs jumping in to look at the McKeller catch? Why didn't they put time back on the clock. It hurt the Bills momentum. They were ready to snap the ball. After the review, it took another 5 to 10 secs for them to get reset. Could've been enough time for another play. The Bills also left time on the clock. Why not throw a quick out for another few yards instead of spiking it?
  3. I don't think so. In SB 27, the Bills were in the red zone late in the first half down 14-10. Kelly was knocked loopy and threw up a bad INT in the end zone. Now with momentum, Dallas went for the jugular and scored 2 TDs before the half. Had the Bills scored a TD before the half to make it 17-14, they would've had the momentum. In SB 28, the Bills played very well to lead at the half. With 3 prior Super Bowl losses, the Thurman fumble returned for a TD that tied the game had an overwhelming deflating affect on the Bills. Again, coaching and team leadership could've curtailed the meltdown but didn't .
  4. Yet they still could've won with that FG. I don't blame Norwood. I blame Levy. They got in FG range with about a minute left but got too conservative and stayed at the edge of Norwood's range. Getting another 10 or more yards would've been huge.
  5. Ricky Watters is still waiting for a better offer so he can feed his family.
  6. Don't forget about Jeremy Kerley. He's a good possession receiver. My guess is either he didn't want to or couldn't play special teams or did or said something to piss off coach McD. It still made little sense to keep Foster if only for his speed. When Allen does get the ball to him, he drops it. He doesn't contribute anything else.
  7. Yeah, he actually said they have no great corners, except for White. Well, in standard defense you only play two so one being great is a big deal.
  8. Could you have imagined the trade of Marshawn Lynch in his prime for what they got for him? A 4th and a 5th?
  9. I think Pittsburgh is ready to move on from L.Bell and he ends up in Philly.
  10. I watch all of the Stanford games and Love does have that burst to break long runs but I'm not sure he'd be as effective in the NFL. He's small and has really been bottled up this year. McCaffrey is from the same system and I believe is faster and he doesn't break the long ones much in the NFL. Anthony Johnson definitely reminds me of Eric Moulds and would be a big help to the Bills.
  11. I was going to post and ask why he was converted to TE when the Bills are weak at WR; maybe because of speed? He seems like he would be a definite upgrade over KB at the same position, based on effort alone.
  12. They just caught up going thru all of the postings on TBD for fan suggestions. Next they may add a WR.
  13. IIRC that was a pick by Wade Phillips in the 1st round when he was projected as a 3rd rounder at best. Wade attended a workout and had to have him.
  14. Anyone else experience the dumb NFL broadcast rule yesterday in the middle of the Browns/Ravens OT? For those that don't know what I'm talking about, my issue with it is probably because I have the NFL Ticket. So, the Bills game yesterday finished in just over 2.5 hours so CBS switched over to the Browns/Ravens game with about 4.5 mins left in regulation. Since the game went to OT, it wasn't finished at 1:30 PM PT (4:30 ET). So, they go back to the studio and James Brown says "due to NFL Rules & Regulations, we can't show you anymore of this game". Then, the studio crew is watching a TV off set and updating the viewers play by play and then they'd show the replay about 10 seconds later. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever saw. My understanding of the rule was, if your local team was in a late game, which was the case here I guess with the Oakland Raiders, and there was a doubleheader on the network, if the early game went over, they had to switch to the late game. Well, I was watching the Bills thru NFL Ticket and there was no other game following on the Direct-TV channel it was shown on so what's the deal? Many people watch games thru NFL Ticket and each game has its own channel so why couldn't they continue to show the Browns game? You might say "Why didn't I just switch to the channel the Browns were on?". The answer to that is since I got my first DVR, I have enjoyed so much being able to FFWD thru commercials that I never watch anything live. For the Bills game, I didn't start watching until a half hour after it began. After that, with food and bathroom breaks and doing things around the house, when I finished watching the Bills game, it was about 1.5 hours after it ended so the Browns game was over also. The CBS studio crew though continued to show highlights and jabber on for another half hour.
  15. That's funny. However, has anybody ever seen Mickey drop a football?
  16. Yeah, why does it take the Bills so long to act on suggestions from this board? We've been saying that since they traded McCarron. We've also been saying they need to give Shady more touches. They finally do it today and Zingo! it works and they get a win. This board has a lot of good ideas. McBeane need to act on them sooner. Is another trade for a WR coming soon?
  17. Yeah, since the Bills used a 1st round pick on Tony Hunter in the 1983 draft, the highest picks used on a TE have been a 2nd round pick (#61) in the 1994 draft on freakin' Lonnie Johnson and a 3rd round pick (#86) in the 2005 draft on Kevin Everett.
  18. Optimally it would a head coach with experience on the offensive side (ex: Reid for Mahomes) but that’s where, if they’re not, hiring a good offensive coordinator and QB coach are important. From what we knew of Daboll, his prior career highlight may have been with Alabama in the 2nd half of the championship with the freshman QB. He coached TEs for New England but was he given the credit for the success of Gronk, Aaron Hernandez, etc.? I don’t believe so. His track record as an NFL OC was mediocre.
  19. If the O-Line is incompetent as a 5-man unit, maybe they should use more bodies. I was watching one game last week (Baltimore vs Pitts?) where they showed a replay that the offense added a 6 th lineman plus a TE to pass block. The QB had all day to throw. They didn't even form a traditional pocket. It was like an impenetrable wall. Again, why do the Bills continue to run 4 wideouts on 3rd downs when the 5 man line doesn't give the QB enough time to find them? How about DiMarco in the backfield as additional protection? Allen should begin to recognize defenses more with experience so give him some more help until he can.
  20. until
Bills at home vs New England Patriots. 8:15 PM ET. New Era Stadium. ESPN Monday Night Football.
