  1. The NFL Free Agency period for 2019 begins.
  2. Son of Gale now playing in AAF. After he gains some experience it comes full circle as he becomes the Bills 3rd string. Super Bowls!!
  3. The Cowboys thought so much of Williams they traded for Cooper
  4. Rob Johnson. LOL!! In 1998, Doug Flutie had 354 pass attempts and was sacked 12 times. Rob Johnson had less than 1/3 the pass attempts with 107 but was sacked 29 times. In 2000. Flutie had 231 pass attempts and was sacked only 10 times. Johnson had more attempts with 306 but was sacked almost 5 times as much with 49. The O-linemen must’ve really hated him. I remember him running out of bounds on a 4th down play at the end of a game,
  5. My belief regarding Peterman is that in practice and preseason games, he shows that he knows where to go with the ball very consistently and throws with accuracy. He gets into a regular season game and he’s a deer in headlights. With what McD had seen of him in practice, he figured it was a matter of time before Peterman showed it in real games but it never materialized.
  6. I was watching the NBA Rising Stars game and a player shot a three that missed everything and to the right. The announcer said "he did a Norwood on that one" Still part of American culture nearly 30 years later.
  7. Jared Cook? He may be better than most of the WRs available.
  8. It always cracks me up when these guys publish a new version of their mock draft when nothing new is going on.
  9. Meh. To me, the kickoff is one of the most exciting plays in the game of football. The opening kickoff especially, as the fans go nuts (especially for college) in anticipation. Maybe it’s because of not being familiar with most of the players, but I got bored with the game after awhile but kept it on. Then paid closer attention as San Diego tried to make a comeback at the end.
  10. Bullough said “It just took the sails out of my wind”
  11. Win 3 straight Super Bowls. No team has done that.
  12. LB Patrick Willis taken by the Niners in the 2007 draft the pick before us. It seems when the Bills do get a good MLB, they let them leave in free agency (Poslusny, P.Brown, Z. Brown) or trade them away (Alonso) but they missed out on two if the better ones.
  13. If we're going to look at players past their prime, Andy Levitre is also available.
  14. Yeah, the Steelers organization hasn't had much drama in their history. Other than the Big Ben rape case, I think you'd gave to go all the way back to Joe Gilliam in the 70's.
  15. So are we thinking the NFL may be actually run by New England organized crime?
  16. Trent Richardson on this team along with Colton Schmidt! Joe Pendry as GM, Ted Cottrell as LB coach and Martin Bayless as DB coach.
  17. I recorded the game while at a SB party of about 30. At the party it was very difficult to hear. There was a Walmart commercial with special cars from movie and TV shows. I guess it was on before the game as it wasn’t on my recording so I watched it online. It was pretty good.
  18. You don't realize that the MLB draft means little, especially being picked 9th. It's all based on potential. Here are the #9 picks of the prior 10 drafts: 2008- Aaron Crow, P, Washington- didn't sign, 12th pick in 2009 draft by KC, 20-11 MLB record, now playing in Mexico 2009- Jacob Turner, P, Detroit- . 14-31 record in MLB, now playing in Korea 2010- Karsten Whitson, P, SD- didn't sign out of HS, 11th rnd pick in 2014 draft by Boston, only made it to A ball 2011- Javier Baez, INF, Cubs, All Star in 2018! 2012- Andrew Heaney, P, Miami- 16-20 MLB record, Full time SP for Angels in 2018 2013- Austin Meadows, OF, Pitts- PART-time OF for Tampa in 2018, 5 HR, 16 RBI in MLB 2014- Jeff Hoffman, P, Toronto- . 6-9 MLB record, spent most of 2018 in AAA 2015- Ian Happ, OF, CUBS- solid utility player 2016- Matt Manning, P, Detroit- only A ball to date 2017-
  19. Public speaking can be improved on, even just by being more comfortable. Ums and Uhs would be a problem when making in-game decisions.
  20. That's what I think every time I see that. Hopefully they can package some of those lower round picks for another 2nd day pick.
  21. I still keep wondering why McDaniels would change his mind on the Indy job and turn down interviews this year unless he was promised something like BB retiring and him taking over.
  22. To me the win over Seattle was due to the Seattle coaching staff getting too cute at the goalline instead of just handing off to Lynch.
  23. I believe DBs and WRs should be able to battle it out for a ball. Too many times it’s called interference.
