  7. Russ would be happy if they drafted him
  8. Remember dickie j is gone so there is hope. that said I could hear Dickei asking how fast he was and to make sure he was not to big
  9. of course just a fun debate. have a good one
  10. I would do a 2 for mcnabb in a heartbeat.
  11. just saying we need a qb to win is an obvious .. My point is the poster contines to post the same theory and never offers a solution .
  12. call the post police
  13. and these post don't take 9 different turns . come on and what is your solution by the way . Name your guy , name the guy they they can get ?
  14. no one is saying Brad johnson is a bum but he is not a player who is at the level of the guys mentioned above .
  15. My point is that needing a qb and finding one are two different things. It does not appear that one will become available in this offseason . Fix the lines and get the qb when you can . Put it this way if you build a top notch o line and have a solid d . Then you find your qb you can go all in money draft picks what ever it takes to get it done.
  16. There is no game changer is this draft or in this free agent class. Darth wants a qb but offers no names or no realistic proposals. Post after post after post. When the front finds a guy to invest in then they will pull the trigger. The jets examples works build the foundation then add the qb. When there is no qb available then waht choice do you have?
  17. here is what the steelers were up to . I agree they are a good model to follow from pfw Steelers coaching staff spends weekend on retreat Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 7, 2010 11:40 AM ET Some coaching staffs spent the weekend wining and dining free agents. Or showing up at their houses. The Steelers coaches hung out together on a "weekend retreat" at a Pittsburgh-area mountain resort. The team-building exercise makes sense on a few levels. The team takes a measured approach to free agency, so the coaches weren't going to be busy yet anyhow. Plus there are many new members to a Steelers staff which also includes an offensive coordinator that nearly got booted. Mike Tomlin's crew will be back in town Monday, when they will meet with wide receiver Arnaz Battle.
  18. Pashos would have been a good get.
  19. 6 pro bowl qbs every year, but that said. Brad johnson was a retread by the time he got tampa. My point is now that we have quality front office people is place they will fine their guy ,it just might not be this year . So why dwell on what we can't do and fix what we can. This team is going to take 2-3 years to get the talent level up. I am not saying you can't fall into a 10 win year any given season but to build something solid and long lasting you need some serious core players and they come from high draft picks .
