  1. Terry Foster of the Detroit News reports that free agent LB Larry Foote is expected to sign with the Steelers on Monday. Foote's visit to Pittsburgh was scheduled for Monday, but it sounds like the sides already have contract parameters in place. While Foote is obviously familiar with Dick LeBeau's system, it's a surprise that he's settling on a return to the team that cut him in 2009. Foote isn't going to be a starter. 2. mission accomplished
  3. he is everything you look for in a backup qb
  4. It really is . It is a team with virtually no impact players. Lets hold off on Bryd being one until he plays a full season.
  5. depends were you take them. Cody in round 2 is better value than williams in round one . That said, dispite the reports that have Cody slipping to the Mid second round I just can't see that happening. With more then half of the teams playing 3/4 nt is a very hard position to fill.
  6. I think spending big to keep your inpact players is the way to go . Now we just need some impact players
  7. If anything Ralph should be pissed. 98 million for what. Where is the talent ? My god what a waste of money .
  8. agreed , but it is looking mroe and more like Trent part 3
  9. NFL Network's Mike Lombardi predicts that the Redskins will draft Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen with the No. 4 overall pick. It's also worth noting that K.C. Joyner, the Football Scientist, is on record as saying Clausen's skill set and decision making offer an even better fit for Mike Shanahan's offense than Jay Cutler. Lombardi's opinion is noteworthy, too, because he worked under Shanahan in Denver. Lombardi expects Shanahan to go with Clausen even if both he and Russell Okung are available. Source: NFL.com http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx Looks like It will be Trent again
  10. Maybe the restricted free agency market will be heating up, after all. Steve Wyche of NFL.com reports that Chargers quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, a restricted free agent, has received offers from both the Cardinals and the Seahawks. Per Wyche, Whitehurst will make a decision on his next team with the next 48 hours. Whitehurst has been tendered at the third-round level, and it appears that the Chargers won't be matching whatever deal Whitehurst takes. As Wyche points out, the Seahawks don't have a third-round pick in the 2010 draft. But the Seahawks and the Chargers already have discussed other compensation that the Chargers deem acceptable. So it apparently comes down to Seattle and Arizona as the next stop for a guy who hasn't appeared in a regular-season game in four years, who has never thrown a pass in a regular-season game, and who has undergone a Serpico-style transformation from this year to this year to this year to this year http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...fers-to-ponder/ I guess Buddy didn't like him It will be intersting to see what the terms of the contract turn out to be
  11. can fix all the roster problem with one good draft.
  12. the massa fellow from you new york might be more fun.
  13. he is fired up
  14. max of 6 million but wanted a grt to start. who's next on the list ?
  15. wow ! If would bet our offer was better than that
  16. Updating a previous item, the Cardinals and Seahawks are both reportedly "discussing contract parameters" with restricted free agent QB Charlie Whitehurst. The third-round tender doesn't seem to be prohibitive, though the Seahawks would have to work out a trade since they don't have a pick in that round (Arizona has two). Seattle is looking for Matt Hasslebeck's successor while the Cardinals are seeking competition for Matt Leinart. Though unproven, Whitehurst offers size, athleticism, and a strong arm. Source: Arizona Republic Related: Matt Hasselbeck, Matt Leinart http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx If Seattle signs Whithurst and if and it is a big if Washngton passes on Clausen does he slide to #9 ? Dispite the left tackle hole, it might be in Bills best interest to take Clausen if he falls to 9 thoughts ?
  17. I agree with what you are saying about the players you brought up . That said they are more then capable of holding the fort.
  18. Lombardi was my choice but I think they are going to luck into a good situaion
  19. speaking of the old days. I can remeber when players wouldn't play for the yankees. Maddux, bonds ,nobody would take their money in the early 90's . Winning changes everything
  20. just because he left doesn't mean the door is closed
  21. Big if, but if Maybin takes to olb things could get interesting . Maybin, bryd and mckelvin all offer big play potential . THe D backfield will be rock solid . Inside linebacker should be fine with poz and mitchel and yes depth in needed . Buddy beefs up the front 4 who knows how good this unti is in a year of two. The real problem will be turnig the pop warner offense in to something resembling an Nfl team
  22. couple of winning seasons in a row and all of the sudden buffalo is not a bad place to play . In addition If Chan starts to put together an innovative offense players will come. cheer up we hit bottom and althought the stay has been long at least the Bills didn't bottom out at2-14 type seasons
  23. I think in the end Jauron is the root of this mess. That said he was hired as a coach and the rest kindo fell into his lap. Either way what a wast of 4 years
  24. the guy has a great resume, he is just a little older then you might like, that said he can turn this whole thing around in a few years and then turn it over to someone else
