No doubt there is truth in what you are saying , it is just that right now we need a left tackle to run any kind of offense . Sitting at 9 might be the play in most years but if we have to send out the same type of offensive line this year we are nowhere .

Signing him with the idea the he is a hold the fort type of guy is a good idea. This way no mater how the draft falls they are not locked into finding a starting left tackle at all cost

Iupati looked really bad at the senior bowl. I don't think he is anything more then a guard and as much as I would like them to move wood to center and make a move on for another guard I can not see them taking one in round one

I don't think all 4 will be gone. It will be interesting to see if Okung, buluga and t williams are gone. Will they reach for Davis or dan williams or stay true to their board whoever it is . In that case trading down makes the most sense but why would anyone want to trade up ?

They need a left tackle, actually they need two or three o lineman in order to run any kind on non pop warner offense If they go into next season without O line upgrades it will be the same mess as this year. Getting a de or olb would be nice but they did draft maybin last year, it would be nice to give him a year with the new staff before writing him completly off.

I get your point, but at this point in time you would a agree that we do not have an nfl caliber left tackle on the roster? Basically we will be starting a rookie or d bell. these other teams did not draft a mid round pick and throw him into the starting line up week one Hopefully down the road player development would be a strenght of the new staff rightn now we have a couple big holes to fill .

they can draft whoever they want but somehow they have go get a Left tackle and a Run stopping n.t that can play as rookies

This is not a bad kid, His biggest infraction was being late to pracitces , keeping in mind that he is only 20 so yes a little immature or perhaps he is 20 and acting like he is 20. He has the highest ceiling of the left tackles sans okung ,not my first choice but in a trade down scenerio picks ,(15-25),he would make a fine selection .
