  1. The MVP awards are a joke. Jackson is constantly hyped by the talking heads on ESPN and yet the Ravens thought long and hard about whether to sigh him to a new deal...he was rumored to be available for trade, something that NEVER would have happened to Burrow or Allen. Jackson is probably the most overrated player in the NFL.
  2. I’m not sure how Lamar Jackson is in the same tier as Burrow and Allen. He’s clearly not at their level, especially if the post-season matters.
  3. The West Coast thing is definitely real. A 3-hour time change is no joke and it seems to be worse than going East to West.
  4. Wonder if there is any chance they keep him over Stidham…if not, he pretty much has to go on the practice squad, right? Does the new rule protect the third QB from being signed by other teams?
  5. IIRC, road teams win close to 50% of the time nowadays. It’s why the old “home field is worth 3 points” adage is no longer true, especially in Vegas.
  6. They are also a well-coached team. Not going to be an easy game.
  7. Bailey Zappe, anyone? He played well at times last year in a horrific Pats offense.
  8. Bass needs all the work he can get and he'll definitely be suiting up in two weeks.
  9. Doesn’t change the fact that the Eagles won it all after firing Reid. Reid might never have won one in Philly and he certainly would not have won one in KC without Mahomes.
  10. Great point re Brady’s size. People forget how big he was. Had a lot to do with his longevity.
  11. I’ve listened to a bunch of season preview podcasts and not one of them gives the Bills more than a passing mention, as in “The Bills will be worse”, a premise that doesn’t even require any further explanation. I love it.
  12. And then they won the Lombardi.
  13. Just a guess, but it might have something to do with the fact that had the Bills kept their first and fourth round picks, they probably would have ended up with the best receiver in football, now entering the prime of his career.
  14. And yet, still no offensive starter has missed a game. Samuel might miss one or two. Still a very healthy offense.
  15. Carson Wentz Disease...
  16. Here’s the cool thing about college…it also prepares you to do things other than play football.
  17. I think McDermott is too worried about what effect it might have on his precious defense to do it for more than a few series.
  18. Correct. If Josh Allen stays healthy, this is a playoff team. I’m not sure how there is even any debate about that. The number of people here who expect the Bills to miss the playoffs is wild…like it’s a Dolphins forum or something.
  19. If the QB you drafted turns out to be good, it’s never a bad pick.
  20. Thanks for pissing on the corn flakes…God forbid we get excited about a young Bills player here on this Bills messsge board.
  21. Don't you think it suggests the opposite? It's a pretty significant sample size...were talking about more than just one season...
  22. The Bills are still a relatively healthy team, if you look at their injuries as a whole...it's just that almost every single injury has been on defense. It's pretty amazing, and difficult to write off purely to chance.
  23. Over the past few seasons, it seems that the overwhelming majority of the Bills' serious injuries (injuries that result in multiple lost games) have been on defense...Tre White, Von Miller, Matt Milano, Daquan Jones, Damar Hamlin, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Terrel Bernard, Baylon Spector, and Christian Benford is only a partial list of Bills' defenders who have missed a lot of time because of injuries. And I suppose we can add Mike Edwards and Cole Bishop, too. On the other hand, it's hard to name any starter on offense who has missed much time. Mitch Morse, Dawson Knox and Spencer Brown might have missed a game or two, but injuries have really had no measurable impact on the Bills' offense for a couple years running. Anyone have any explanation for this? Is it just luck, or does it have something to do with the scheme or the type of players the Bills have been drafting and acquiring on defense? My sense is that it's more than just luck and that it might have something to do with the Bills favoring smaller, more mobile, more versatile defenders. I can't remember ever seeing a team with so many key injuries on one side of the ball and almost none on the other, especially over an extended period of time. Curious what others think.
  24. Hard to imagine this team making the playoffs without Claypool…🤡
  25. I recall some good games Judon had vs Bills when he was a Raven
