  1. That is an understatement. IMO he was the best back in the league last year before he was released. KC definitely missed him, even though they continued to score points.
  2. So you think the Redskins are going to trade their second round pick this year and next year’s first round pick to move from 16 to 9? You are dreaming. I’m not even sure they would trade just their second round pick to make that move.
  3. Umm, I think you forgot to mention a rather important Gronkowski stat line: In 16 postseason games (another full season, against the best teams in the league): 81 receptions, 1160 yards, 12 TDs, and 3 Super Bowl wins. There has been retirement talk, but Gronk is not even 30 years old yet. He’s better than Gonzales was. By a lot. Tell me about Gonzales’s postseason stats (and his blocking). Gronk was the best non-QB on the ultimate NFL dynasty; his three Super Bowl rings aren’t an accident.
  4. If you really want to throw up, just look at Gronk’s playoff stats. Sickening.
  5. McDermott v Belichick is an all-time mismatch. I don’t think Brady even matters that much at this stage.
  6. Gronk is easily the best non-QB on the most dominant dynasty in sports history. It hurts to type that, because he is a POS, but it’s true.
  7. Do you really think Sean McDermott is up to the task?
  8. You’re kidding, right? He is an an absolute lock to be a first ballot hall of game. Other than Brady, he might be the surest hall of famer currently playing. And it’s not really close.
  9. I’m starting to believe Belichick is going to coach for at least a few years after Brady retires, and that the Pats probably won’t miss a beat. The gap between between Belichick and the Sean McDermotts of the league was never clearer than this year. And I have no doubt that Brady will be replaced with a very good NFL QB, not some scrub. Weak. They went 11-5 against NFL teams. And that was their worst year since 2000!
  10. Relax. I’m a big Josh Allen fan. But let’s not pretend the trade was a good idea, and please don’t say it wasn’t the right time to draft a franchise QB.
  11. How about the Bills against the Jets in the last game of the season, after they fired Rex, and started EJ?? A very effective mini-tank that put them in position to pass on Pat Mahomes.
  12. I also don't believe Washington would give up a second and a third to move up to 9. The Skins only have 5 draft picks this year and I can't see them making a trade that leaves them with only three, where two of those three are day 3 picks. The two seconds Buffalo gave up to move to 7 last year were at the bottom of round 2 and I doubt there will be a Josh Allen-like prospect available at 9 this year. If the Skins want to move up to 9, and their 2d rounder isn't enough to make it happen, then I think the Bills would have to throw in one of their fourths in order for the Skins to give up their 3d rounder as well. It all depends on how desperate the Skins are, but I have a feeling there will be a lot of teams looking to trade back this year, including the Jets, and I don't foresee a bidding war for the 9th pick. That being said, I really like your picks and I can only hope that Beane is smart enough to use our first three picks on offensive players.
  13. A six-win season in 2019 would spell the end of the McBeane era—or at least, it should.
  14. Well, we certainly agree that Todd Gurley is better than CJ Spiller, but Spiller’s been retired for a while now, so it’s probably not a fair comparison.?
  15. Yeah, two years in a row with zero picks used on RB is a real head-scratcher, given the age of the team’s RB stable, and especially given McDermott’s affinity for ground-and-pound Jauron-ball.
  16. Hmmm...it's almost as if the Bills' front office wasn't very good at its job over that time frame...?
  17. Maybe, but two third round picks would be a decent return to move back to 15, especially if they are early thirds.
  18. Sure, but the problem with that (from the Bills' perspective) is that IMO, 2019 is a win-now-or-else year for McBeane, so they are going to be far less receptive to trading for 2020 picks. If the Skins' second round pick isn't enough to move up to 9, then it seems more likely that they would throw in their third, but get back one or more later round picks from the Bills.
  19. It’s a sad list, but what’s more relevant, ancient Bills’ draft history, or recent league-wide experience, where good-great RBs are found in all rounds of the draft and even in UDFA?
  20. Another reason why they won’t be trading their first three picks for the 9th overall.
  21. Gurley is a very poor example. The Rams did not miss a beat with CJ Anderson, who they picked up off the street. Gurley might not be a dime a dozen, but he's about the sixth most important guy in that offense. And I very much doubt an injury to Sony Michel would move the needle much for NE, even though he's a good back.
  22. What happened last year hardly matters. There won't be a prospect like Josh Allen available at 9 this year and there probably won't be multiple teams vying for the pick. Every draft is different and moving up to 7 is different than moving to 9. And don't forget, the Bills' second round picks last year were both late in the second round. The Bills would probably be very happy to drop back to 15 and pick up the 'Skins' second round pick. It's very unlikely they will be able to get and second and a third rounder to drop back six slots.
  23. KC is home because their offense had a subpar day vs NE and because they lost a coin flip. Mahomes had a bad first half, and they really miss Kareem Hunt. KC’s defense was lousy all year and yet there they were, hosting the AFC championship game. Now you could argue that KC’s offense had a subpar day because NE’s defense played very well...
