What a pathetically low bar. I sincerely hope that's not the goal. No starting quarterback in the league put up that few yards over the course of the season last year. That's more like it. -

The linked article is about 20 years old. And it really doesn’t have much to say about the percentage of NFL team rosters that are comprised of UDFAs, even back then.

You are grossly underestimating the role of UDFAs on NFL rosters. In any given year, there are as many UDFAs on 53-man rosters as first and second round picks combined—an average of about 14 per team. In the 2018 Super Bowl, one quarter of the players on the two rosters were undrafted.

It's probably not a big issue, but extending the draft means that players have less freedom. Some players who aren't drafted are able to negotiate better deals than seventh rounders. Again, not a big issue, but the owners would have to give up something to get it--assuming they even want it in the first place.

Redskins also got great value with McLaurin in round three. Some teams actually draft receivers for their young QBs to throw to.

You are the one who said 11 or 12 point losses shouldn’t count as blowouts. I simply pointed to the Charger game as an example of an 11-point loss that was utterly non-competitive.

It was a blowout at home. Period. 28-3 at halftime. No one said it was all Josh Allen’s fault, although he did not play well.

I don't care what the final score was; the Chargers game was a blowout. It was over at halftime but the Bills added a couple garbage-time scores to make it look somewhat respectable. Hell, I thought we were going to have a Cardale Jones sighting...

It's irrelevant anyway. Bill Belichick was a backup at Wesleyan. Meanwhile, Deion Sanders (among many others) played in the league for a decade and is completely clueless.

I would say 1000 yards receiving and 10 TDs is more just than a projection. Looks like a breakout year to me... I think Diontae Johnson in the 3d may turn out to be a steal for Pittsburgh. They have a pretty good track record for finding receivers...

Are you forgetting about Tyler Lockett? Defenses will have a tough time matching up with him and Metcalf on the field at the same time. I feel like Lockett is Tyreek Hill-like in that he’s a guy the defense has to account for on every single play.

Wow, it's amazing how delusional Bills fans are. A second or a third round pick for a 31-year old RB who averaged about 3.0 YPC last year and is on a bad contract. Ok.... Conditional 6th, at best
