I think it’s one of the most unpredictable drafts in a while. After the top 3 picks, no one knows anything. There seems to be no consensus at all who’s going in the next 20 or so picks and no consensus about who’s going in the first round in general. Guys like Kenneth Grant are projected anywhere from 12 to 44. Same with some of the DBs. And Shadeur Sanders is a big wild card. I think there will be lots of draft day trades, but teams are taking a wait and see approach.

Kyle Williams should definitely be in play under this scenario…

The beauty of the Bills losing that game is that the Pats are in a really bad spot right now…they are likely going to miss out on the three blue chip players in this draft, and there’s no one worth taking at 4…they’d love to trade back but probably no takers.

In the old days, Milroe would be converted to safety or WR in the NFL…it might not be a bad idea.

I think Nolen would be taken with one of our second round picks. He’s nowhere near the player Grant or Harmon is.

The Bills will not pass on Grant if he’s there at 30. He is exactly what this defense needs…a big, physical presence up front, with some pass rush upside. The Bills’ defense has been too finesse for too long, and Grant solves that problem. He’ll be a fixture in the middle for years. There are a lot of more or less comparable edge guys who will be available at 56 or 60….

The question is whether any GM would take Robinson over Gibbs now, not two years ago. I stand by my assertion. Gibbs is far more explosive and more of a threat in the passing game. Robinson is a good back, but he doesn’t present nearly the same problems for a defense that Gibbs does.

I don’t think anyone’s trading up for Jeanty. When’s the last time the first RB off the board turned into the best RB in the draft class? Saquon?

According to CBS…a lot of “experts” think he’s a guard in the NFL and that he is not a top 10 talent.

I’ve got to believe Sanders could be in play for the Jets, unless they just don’t like the player. I can’t see them going into week one of a new regime with Justin Fields as their starter. The Saints trying to trade up for Sanders is a dream scenario for NE, but I just can’t see it. If only Mayo had been a good soldier and properly tanked that last game….

Knowing Vrabel, I think they take Graham if they can’t move back.

The Pats are in an absolutely brutal position in this draft…they are likely too late for any of the three stars, and there is no one at their position of greatest need who merits a top 15 pick, much less top 4. I’m sure they will be desperate to trade back when it becomes clear that Sanders isn’t going in the top 3.

You don’t think Justin Fields will change the destiny of the Jets franchise?

The Giants are taking Abdul Carter. They would be idiots to trade out of that pick. He’s the best edge prospect since Nick Bosa.

After Terell Bernard and Dorian Williams, you still haven’t learned not to judge day 2 defensive draft picks by their rookie season, especially the ones that were injured as rookies?

Highly unlikely. Bishop was an outlier. There won’t be two in a row. I could see using a fifth or sixth in safety, but that’s it.

What are you talking about? Bishop and Rapp are going to be the presumptive starters.

The Bills are not using one of their first three picks on a safety, after drafting Cole Bishop (who’s barely had a chance to play) in round 2 last year. It simply is not going to happen.
