  1. Just like Atlanta—it’s college football country. NFL is a distant second.
  2. In other words, no better or worse than NFL games generally...
  3. Here’s the point: You don’t draft a QB in the top 10 unless you project him as a guy who will be a long-term starter in the NFL, although not necessarily as a rookie. You would take a QB in rounds 2-4 if you think he’s only got a “chance” to be a starter. Thus, Shurmur was saying, in effect, that they had Allen projected as a round 2-4 guy. Whether that’s true or not, it’s a stupid and disrespectful thing to say about a guy who went 7 overall and who you’re about to play against. Yes, I can tell by his lifetime coaching record of .300...a real genius.
  4. Not true. QBs taken in the top 10, which JA was assured of, are guaranteed NFL starters. Shurmur was saying they had him as a round 2 prospect. Only way to read it. And yes, it’s disrespectful and a dumb thing for a HC to say. It’s OK, Shurmur will be lucky to last the season. Total mediocrity. A walking advertisement for the Rooney Rule.
  5. Lazy and completely false. Some of the best games of the season last year were Thursday night games.
  6. I don’t think it’s a bad O-line at all.
  7. That’s a great bet. Is that really the money line?
  8. I don't know about that. Siemien might very well be an upgrade...
  9. I tend to agree, but McDermott has gone into a shell pretty much every time the Bills have had a second half lead and I don't believe they've blown one yet, although there have been some close calls. With some teams, it seems to work...
  10. The Bills defense gave up a grand total of 8 points, despite the Jets having 3 extra possessions due to turnovers. I don’t think that word “pliable” means what he thinks it does.
  11. Only if Josh Allen gets hurt. Can't see him even playing, otherwise.
  12. I’d put Bell up against any of those guys. He has proven himself year after year, as a runner and as a receiver. Zeke and McCaffrey, though...
  13. Agreed. Barkley is a very good RB, but he’s hardly superhuman. I’m not sure he’s better than Le’Veon Bell, who the Bills bottled up pretty well last week.
  14. THAT.CLICHE.IS.ONLY.FOR.THE.PLAYERS.AND.COACHES. THIS.IS.JUST.A.MESSAGE.BOARD.
  15. Chris Simms is another guy who does his homework and is bullish on the Bills. His podcast is great.
  16. Of course, if he makes the first extra point, Gase doesn't go for two on the second extra point, so that one's a wash. Here's the deal: even good kickers miss kicks; it's part of the game. The Bills outplayed the Jests and they deserved to win. Period. And by the way, kicker might be the second most important position in the NFL. The difference between a great kicker and an average or below average kicker is probably a couple points per game. That's absolutely huge. No team that's serious about making the playoffs goes into the season with a scrub kicker. It's no accident that for their entire run NE has had either the best, or arguably the best, kicker in the league.
  17. So do you think the Bills would have just tried to run out the clock on that last possession, down 19-17?
  18. Is Von Miller active tonight? What about Bradley Chubb?
