  1. It’s a league-wide trend. I can’t think of a single defense that shutting other teams down. In the first week, offensive holding calls were down 78%. Haven’t seen the stats since, but I’m not seeing many of those called.
  2. It was five times worse than the one called on Kroft.
  3. That might be the worst spot I’ve ever seen. He wasn’t within two yards of 1st down. Incredible.
  4. Where the hell was the offensive PI?
  5. Can someone post a link with a replay of the “interception”?
  6. Anyone think this team can beat New England?
  7. Second Half for Jared Goff: Garbage time!
  8. Joe Burrow taken out with a dirty hit. Last thing this league needs.
  9. I don’t think Newton is any more likely to get hurt than JA. They have a similar running style and I think will be used in similar ways in their offenses. Both have been so effective from the pocket, that I don’t expect to see either run very much except in the red zone. Murphy reminds me of Flutie and R Wilson...he just never seems to take a hit. As you point out, very different from Cam and JA, who seem to relish contact...
  10. Umm, I’d say Cam’s performance Sunday against Seattle was great. I did not see him against Miami.
  11. Impossible to argue with this. I don’t see a win for them on their schedule right now.
  12. Still way too much talent. They are at least an 8-8 team. Agreed. The Browns have too much talent to compete for Lawrence, but I could definitely see them drafting a QB this year if Baker doesn’t turn it around quickly.
  13. Yeah, I was talking about their first four picks. I thought all four were overdrafted. (I did like that tackle out of USC showing a little nastiness last night, though.) With 13 picks though, they were bound to get some good players. And I think they have some extra premium picks this year, too. If Tua can play, they will be a good team for a long time.
  14. Shocking how bad J-ville’s defense was last night, especially with all the young studs they’ve drafted on that side of the ball lately (chaisson, Henderson, Allen). Fitz carved them up like a Thanksgiving turkey. I expected much better. And yes, Miami is not a bad team. I didn’t like their draft picks this year, but they are definitely improving and finally have the right coach. Agreed that getting out of there with a win was a good result last Sunday. Thank God we still have the Jets to kick around...
  15. Well, there’s no doubt who the worst team in the AFCE is now. Dolphins are not a bad team, at least with Fitz at QB...
  16. In other words, he’s not a very good QB. Some of us have known that for a while now.
  17. I hate to say it, but based on his performance Sunday night, I’d have to say Cam Newton is seriously underrated here. It’s probably the best he’s played since his MVP season, and i don’t think it’s a fluke. He looks fully healthy and he’s finally being well-coached. Looks to be an upgrade from Brady, unfortunately.
  18. Anthony Lynn—saved from himself by the doctors.
  19. Wow. If I’m the owner, Lynn is fired right now, unless he tells me he was just throwing out disinformation for their next opponent.
  20. That's true, but Tyrod was kept around here one year too long, and people who believed in him were made to look foolish. That's caused a bit of blowback. Plus he's been terrible since he left Buffalo.
