Why?

This game means a lot more to Buffalo than it does to NE. The Patriots know who they are. They lose about one AFC East game per season and this might be the one. If so, it's not the end of the world for Belichick and company; they always play better later in the season anyway. For the Bills, this is the game where they are going to tell the world (and themselves) that they are for real, or not, and it's at home. I think they will play with desperation and I don't see NE doing the same thing this week. That often makes a difference in this league.

I like it in the red zone, but that’s it. The frequency that we’re seeing it is an indication that the Bills still don’t have enough offensive weapons. It’s unfortunate that we didn’t draft one of the WRs that were available in the second round this year. There were a lot of good ones there for the taking.

The Jests were not a bad team when we played them. Neither are the Giants. And I think Cinci is pretty good too; they are going to win quite a few games this year, despite the rough start.

I’m guessing a lot of giants fans are wondering why they were subjected to Eli the last two games.

You’re not wrong, but Buffalo-Cinci will not air in a single TV market outside of upstate NY and southern Ohio/northern KY. Funny that ND-UGA is being hyped. UGA is a 14-point favorite. In the NFL, that would be considered a colossal mismatch and probably not worth watching.

Why do you keep mentioning the missed PAT? The Jests later converted a 2-pointer that they never would have attempted if they hadn’t missed the first one. And WRT the missed FG, do you remember the end of the game? Do you think the Bills would have turtled on their last possession if they were trailing?

It’s happened before. Marquise Goodwin was literally hated here for being frequently injured.

Slight exaggeration, but not much. I thought Minshew looked really good last year with the Cougars. I think he was hurt in the draft by the lack of success other WSU QBs have had at this level. OTOH, I thought Mariota was the best college QB I’ve ever seen and thought he was a sure-fire franchise QB in the NFL.
