  1. Ancient history. I hope you’re not suggesting he’s not a great coach... Is that really your point?
  2. Don’t get your hopes up. The 6-10 part is not going to happen until Belichick is long gone.
  3. Lamar looks good, but he has to be used correctly. He’s got not one, but three good TEs to throw to, a very good RB and some speedy WRs. And a good OL. Those TEs make life MUCH easier on a young QB.
  4. We needed an impact nose tackle more, apparently. And a guard.
  5. For a guy who is bad at the three cone drill, DJ Metcalf is a good football player.
  6. Wow, this Seattle defense is very disappointing. Bordering on bad.
  7. So he has 9 TDs total the last three weeks? Is that a record?
  8. I think you’re right. The offense was in such bad shape last year that massive F/A signings was the only way to bring it up to middle of the road. I’m unhappy with the team’s history of ignoring offensive skill positions in the draft. In the past three years, they’ve drafted one WR (ZayJones) and one RB before the sixth round. In that same time, Pittsburgh, for example, with Antonio Brown already on the team, drafted three WRs: Schuster (second), James Washington (third) and Deonte Jones (third).
  9. Isn’t that what we’re doing? How do you think it’s working out?
  10. I kinda feel the same way. It was only one game, but the Eagles game confirmed a lot of fears many have had about this team. The offense simply cannot score enough points to win consistently in the NFL, and certainly not enough to beat good teams. We have zero big strike ability; in order to score TDs, we need to put together long, sustained drives with no big penalties, sacks or turnovers. It only happens a couple times per game and that’s just not enough to beat good teams, like Philly. It’s the same small ball, popgun offense we’re used to seeing and it doesn’t seem like it’s ever going to change. Not only is it not going to beat good teams, it’s boring as hell to watch. The good news is that we play mostly bad teams this year, and with our defense and a little luck, this sad offense might be good enough to get to 10-6.
  11. I guess we don't know for sure, but carrying a full load at FAU isn't the same as doing it in the NFL. Maybe Singletary can do it here, but I have my doubts. He not very big or very fast and he's going to take a lot of hits if he's touching the ball 20 times/game. He seems to me more like a situational guy, but it's probably too early to tell.
  12. They will be lucky to get a late third or fourth for him. Six months ago, he was available as a free agent, for zero compensation.
  13. So we're no longer worried about the Jets beating us out for that last wildcard spot?
  14. Singletary has talent, but he's never going to carry the entire load, like Bell is capable of doing. He's just not that kind of back.
  15. So in your mind the phrase “it’s all about the QB” does not suggest that that’s all it takes? ?
  16. No, it’s not. That’s a cliche, and it’s just not true. It’s also about putting the QB in a position to succeed, by having a good offensive system, a competent o-line, and most important, some weapons he can exploit, like receivers who get open and make plays and a RB who can catch the ball and punish a defense that puts five or six defensive backs on the field. Rudolph isn’t great, but he’s got all those things and as a result, he looks pretty damn good. Allen has none of those things because the Bills are clueless when it comes to offensive football, and it’s going to be their undoing.
  17. Can we also agree that we don’t have a RB as good as Connor?
  18. I don’t know how many games the Dolphins will win this year, but Flores has them playing hard and he seems to know what he’s doing. He’s going to be around for a while.
  19. Miami just got shanked. Garbage call.
