  1. Thank you. It’s also my understanding that torn pectoral muscles really don’t happen in the first place to young men who aren’t using. The JJ Watt ball washing was the single most irritating feature of the broadcast yesterday, although that’s probably because I watched the game in Canada and wasn’t subjected to the insipid Aaron Rodgers/Mahomes commercials.
  2. Not a single person who’s not a rabid Bills fan would say Allen. None. Maybe in a year or two, but not now. And it was proven on the field on Saturday.
  3. I can’t ever remember seeing the KO return man catch the ball and casually flip it to the ref without downing it. If you’re right though, then why did this particular ref decide, on this play, to treat the flip from the return man like a live ball and refuse to catch it, notwithstanding that return men “do it all the time” without consequence? Did he just decide on the spot to screw the Texans? To me—and under the rules—it’s no different than if a punt returner fielded a punt without signaling a fair catch and then flipped the ball to the ref without attempting to advance it. Clear fumble and a bonehead play by the return man.
  4. Pretty sure he’s under contract to another team. Not enough time left; we had to throw the ball...oh, wait.
  5. The ref knew right away too, because he declined to catch the ball when the returner tossed it to him. He was watching to see if the return man signaled a fair catch, and when he didn’t see it, he treated it as a live ball, as the rule requires.
  6. Great. I can’t wait for the apology from the league.
  7. Should be just like the shot clock in basketball...a reviewable call that’s enforced every time. Or just do away with the damn play clock.
  8. Can’t argue with any of that. The complete abandonment of Singletary in the second half and especially OT was unforgivable.
  9. I agree. Unless Josh takes a step forward next year, I don’t know how you extend him.
  10. I agree that Allen got little help from Daboll or McDermott, but he had numerous chances to win the game and could not get it done. He averaged less than 6 YPA, lost a fumble, and put up zero TDs after the opening drive. Against Deshawn Watson, that will get you beat every time.
  11. I agree that the play calling in the second half was abysmal and there were a few drops (Texans had a few big drops, too, BTW), but Josh threw for under 6 YPA (almost 10 for Watson) and led the team 1 TD in 70 minutes. Other than the disastrous sacks he took in the next to last possession of regulation, I’m struggling to think of particular examples where Josh screwed up badly, but I’m still a bit traumatized by what I witnessed this afternoon. Josh didn’t make the plays that would have won the game, and Watson did. And against a mediocre defense we again failed to score 20 points. It’s just not accurate to say he did enough to win the game.
  12. I’m a big Josh Allen fan, but he wasn’t good enough today. Yes, he makes some great plays that few NFL QBs can make, but he put up just one touchdown in 70 minutes of football and he was badly outplayed by Deshawn Watson in the second half and OT. Obviously, it’s not all his fault, but Allen had a lot of chances to win the game today and he didn’t get it done.
  13. He definitely had the “deer in headlights” look in the second half. Extremely troubling.
  14. No rational person would choose Josh Allen over Watson at this point of their careers. Watson was the main reason Houston won.
  15. You can’t expect to win an NFL game with 1 TD. It was another disgraceful offensive performance.
  16. Choked so many different times, I can’t even count them all.
  17. Maybe the most disastrous game in Bills history. Just a complete disgrace.
